Warning: Regardless of your political affiliation, this poem will pull at your heart. It chronicles one of the saddest chapters in our people's recent history and reminds us how much work we have to do to achieve peace amongst ourselves and to become as one.

Fran Miller ,   Haifa   (07.22.07)
Machon Shilo has won my heart! If Tisha B'Av can feel so relevant to what's happening nowadays-then I feel I can connect now. I'm fasting.
6. Kol HaKavod to Machon Shilo!
Talya ,   Beth Shemesh   (07.22.07)
After looking through www.machonshilo.org made me think of a great idea-a profound thinker such as Rav David Bar-Hayim is someone whom we must not only be able to hear via lectures, but also through the media via interviews-it would be great if Ynet could interview Rav Bar-Hayim so that we can all hear about his pro-Israel philosophy.
7. Very interesting

13. remembering
Yisraeli   (07.23.07)
HE that will not be named, HE that sold out his people, HE that lies not in Heaven nor in the Earth, for neither will have HIM. Yes I am bitter, very bitter and I will not forget nor forgive the terrible injustice that befell my brothers and sisters who are still suffering the consequences unto this day.
14. MODERN MOURNING!!!
al mann ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.23.07)
No doubt, the Children of Israel have learned nothing from their history. From the First Temple onward their belief in the Ten Commandments, the written law, and the Oral law have been rejected and held with disdain by a great majority of its citizens. Since, by virtue of that Torah which gives the Children of Israel to live in this geographical area, is rejected those who live according to its tenets are also rejected. They are seduced to live in new territory and then shoved out when politically expedient. Many of the exiles are still without permanent housing and ways to support their families. They were turned into an abandoned segment of the population. Exile has been part of the experience of the Children of Israel. The Babylonian exile, the Persian exile, the Roman persecution and pursuant lengthy exile are all part of the life experience. The Ninth of Av recalls those terrible times when the destruction of the Temples drove people from their homes and livelihoods. The enemies of Israel drove everyone from their land. The same thing is happening today from the enemies from without and from within. Nothing has changed since those days. I thought that modern, intelligent man learned from the past. Much to my chagrin and dissappointment the same mistakes are made. The lack of faith in the promises given to our forefathers is not believed, despite all that the people has experienced. There is no worthly leadership who is capable of giving the people guidance and love to unite them into one ideology, toward one goal--the reestablishment of sacredness, of holiness of the Children of Israel.
15. won't forget!!!

16. sadly its not over yet-1 more captivity to go thru
yahn goodey   (07.23.07)
zechariah 14:2 before Messiah comes to free us-never again to be the victims of the gentiles and their false gods or corrupt "jewish" politicians that sell us out to enemies.
