1. half right
sk ,   USA   (07.28.07)
The US supported Israel's attempt to destroy Hizbullah in Lebanon and was willing to hold off the Euros to advance this. But Israel copped out, sided with the Euros, and the US quickly backtracked. Since then, the US has increased communications with the Axis of Evil, as Israel cannot be relied upon to advance a joint US/Israel mission. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the US was just WAITING for Iran to try something directly against Israel, at which point the US would have attacked Iran under the banner of defense.
2. so hisbAllah is an American PROXY?
uli ,   jerusalem   (07.28.07)
When Nasrallah is right, so also the HisbAllah attack on Israel was planned by America. So it's now clear: the muslims world will look with disgust at Hisballah, the american proxy...
3. Why Arabs, antisemites or delusional leftists get married?
Uzi ,   Haifa   (07.28.07)
Because the haven't managed to blame Israel and the US for everything.
4. Nasrallah
Monique   (07.28.07)
Nasrallah is no friend to the people of Lebanon, he is their destroyer ,he will attempt to take over their country and once in power they will destroy all the freedom that the people have now, the women will be thrown out of school, and make to wear the Burka, anyone who opposes his rule will be nurdered, the Christians there will be terrorized! So people of Lebanon wise up,Hezbollah and their allies are not your friends,Syria and Iran want to rule you ! Stand up to them and chase them from your country! They are not only Israel's enemies but yours too!
5. What liars!
Juan ,   Spain   (07.28.07)
Nasrallah is a liar, trying to rewrite history. Hezbollah attacked Israel, killed soldiers, fired missiles, abducted soldiers. That happened first - and that started a war. How could anyone ever negotiate with such people?
6. Kidnappings::"..heroic acts in the name of Islam." ah!!
KMR ,   Middle East   (07.28.07)
7. NasRallah
rudy ,   USA   (07.28.07)
With a friend like this you don't need an enemy. Did he know the Israelis would hit back so hard. I doubt it. He wanted to play with fire and he got Lebanon burned. The kidnapping was well planned in advance? The next time Nasrallah wants to lead a war let him stand and not hide in a bunker. He is a disgrace. May God punish him. Rudy
8. Nasrallah in trouble?
jd ,   Efrat   (07.29.07)
You'd figure that after a year he'd cut down on the rhetoric. However, the Lebanese recovery must be going badly and there must still be a lot of homeless/jobless people who are more than pissed off at Nasrallah for starting the war. Ergo, he continues to try to pull the wool over Lebanese eyes and blame the evil zionists and the american satan. However, from what we read on Ynet last week, thousands of south Lebanese are still sitting on the rubble of their homes with no relief in site. The Hezbollah jugglenaut is apparently faltering. It will be interesting to see if Hezbollah can pull a rabbit out their hat, or if they'll simply be happy to see Lebanon descend into civil war again so the Iranian occupation can continue and the Syrian occupation can resume. But then again, everybody seems to forget there are what, 2 million Syrian settlers still in Lebanon?
9. Is it just me, or...
Phantom 85   (07.28.07)
is his head getting BIGGER??! Maybe it will soon explode!
10. Nasrallah - Nominated For Nitwit of The Year
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (07.28.07)
Given that nobody with an iota of intelligence can do anything but shake their heads in amazement at the rants this maniac comes up with, we can only hope that he will disappear off the face of the planet - soon!
11. to #4
(07.28.07)
Do you live on earth? Hizbollah is People!!! Iran and Syria are not enemies as much as Israel is. If they were, then they are much better ones, I'll fight them later, when i am done with Israel. You need to read more, and better, Mr Monique!!!!!
12. We need Moshe Feiglin as PM of Israel!!!
Israeli ,   Israel   (07.28.07)
How long can we go on while G-dless, corrupt politicians pretend to lead our country? How long can we go on with the incompetent failure who failed to beat the nobody enemy because the nobody enemy had faith and a mission and our leaders no longer believe in the justice of our cause? How long can we watch our enemies laugh in our faces while we give them weapons? It's time for a change. It's time for leadership who believes in the justice of OUR cause and not the enemies. It's time for a real leader, who can look his people in the eye and tell them the truth. It's time for a leader with a G-d, the G-d of the Jews!!! We want Moshe Feiglin as PM and we want him NOW!!!!
13. The comic relief of the week
Isragirl   (07.29.07)
Isn't he a court clown for Iran? Looove the interior design. How much does it cost to install yellow curtains in an underground bunker? Oh, I know how much - going on record with made up proclamations. I love it when the media uses this clown as a source of information...
14. # 11 - regretfully
Isragirl   (07.29.07)
"Hizbollah is People!!!" so were Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and other murderous tyrants. Some of them are still alive. And you know, when they ruled, people believed in them blindly. They all share 3 qualities: enormous charisma/ego, ability to speak to the hearts of the people, and calculated madness. Oh, also, they ultimately DON"T care about the people they lead and tend to leave whole nations scarred for generations. I guess it's your people's turn to suffer...
15. Nasrallah is our leader.
(07.29.07)
Nasrallah is the one who scares you all here who are ranting with bitterness and disbelief at your loss. Allah bless you Nasrallah. He taught you lessons, you can see the polls. People in israel believe Nasrallah but none of their leaders!! USA only fears someone like Nasrallah, they love seniora because he is a traitor. People in Lebanon love freedom, not bread, not buildings, not jobs. You are idiots, you do not understands muslims, or you are pretending not to!
16. #11, maybe you should get out more
Danny   (07.29.07)
According to a recent article from Al-Mustaqabl and the UN cartographers, Syria currently occupies around 4% of Lebanon. You resisting them? You fighting to get Lebanese prisoners released from Syrian jails? If the operation to kidnap the soldiers was planned "well in advance" then that rules out earlier Hizbullah lies about the IDF being in Lebanon or it being a plan to pre-empt some plan to take over South Lebanon. If your leaders can't even make their mind as to what lies to feed you, why should anyone believe them?
17. Nasrallah suffers from oxygen deprivation?
Isragirl   (07.29.07)
If you read his statements closely, you realize that he went completely loco. Examples: "Israel has been in constant war with Lebanon since its inception"; "They are the ones who decided to go to war with the Arab world"; "Lebanon War was a global war"; "We crushed the plan to establish Greater Israel". In general, it smells like some of the "finest" Hitler rhetorics. We know how well it worked out for the German people. BTW, Hitler also lived in a bunker. Had to kill himself, poor fella...
18. Nasrallah started the war. He will destroy Lebanon
David ,   BOston, USA   (07.29.07)
Party of the wackos, party of destruction. There is nothing devine in Hezbollah, just evil for all sides. Like all enemies of Israel, eventually, they will be destroyed,. It is a fact of history, past, present, and future. No enemy of Israel has ever survived.
19. the smartest leader in the whole area
t.i ,   Israel   (07.29.07)
he is my enemy but I must to acknowledge this guy is sharp, clear and has a lot of patience. I wish my leaders would means half of things originating from their statements or plans. but, never mind, these kind of speeches only strengthen my spirit. as I'm always saying: "god won't leave the people of the book", even the koran ratify it. if you are an optimist person who know how to glance at the half of the full glass, no crisis will be qualify to break your belief. be strong my people!
20. people,people,people
moliza ,   lebanon   (07.29.07)
why do we always have to attack words that make sense?if everyone here listens to the news,we all know that nasrallah never lied in all the time he has been the chief of hizbollah, contrary to the promises made by the hiarchy of Israel,(destroy hizbollah, bring back the captives, secure a belt in the south of lebanon) ...nasrallah said at the beginining,no captives free without negociations, hizbollah will never disarm, and last but not least,Israel will be defeated....now anyone who has been reading normal reporting will not fail to see who prevailed...olmert,peretz,halutz(not forgetting katsav who was busy raping his aide) or .......nasrallah??? ppl really say the truth. by the way,i'm a christian
21. You'v Got to be Kidding
Dave Levy ,   Burbank. CA USA   (07.29.07)
This leader of Hez is a moron., or delusional or both. Israel didn't finish the job thanks to the US. Hes got it all backwards..just more propaganda and total lies. The real quagmire for Israel however, is what to do the next time? Israel should give the residents 12 hours to vacate, then make So. Lebanon into a sheet of glass. To Ns this is still a game of chicken.
22. Do any one trust him?
Daniel ,   Israel   (07.29.07)
Including his own people?!!!!!!!
23. Who cares? He says this same crap every other day.
Antonio ,   Haifa   (07.29.07)
This isn't news.
24. A QUESTION FOR ALL OF U
MIKEUSA ,   LOS ANGELES, USA   (07.29.07)
IF THIS IS WHAT LEBANON LOOKED LIKE AFTER "WINNING" W AR...SOMEBODY PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THE HELL LEBANON WOULD LOOK LIKE AFTER LOSING ONE?!?!
25. Dear Moliza (and others).
Isragirl   (07.29.07)
I wish you peace. And prosperity. And a strong legal system that protects women even from the most powerful men in your country. All Israel wants is to be left alone. We've done really well for ourselves in the past 60 years despite the constant wars, arid climate and steady waves of culturally incompatible immigrants. Israel is interested in prosperous neighbors - for trade, tourism, cultural exchange. Do you think you can have all that under Nasrallah? Or Assad? Maybe the Ayatollahs will take good care of you? We don't even expect to see a Western type governing system in your countries. Stay the way you are, we respect your ways a lot more than Europeans who want to "protect" you from us, but truthfully can't stand a sight of an Arab, especially in an ethnic garb, and deeply despise your cultural values (they call it barbarism). Remember this - Nasrallah came to prominence for a reason. And it's not because he speaks the truth, but because he knows how to speak to you, Moliza, in a way that makes most sense to you. You know, Hitler was very good at giving speeches. He could convince a crowd of thousands in absolutely anything - that the Arian nation will win, that they will enslave all Russia, that they will get rid of all the Jews. And for a while, for quite a few years, he was right. A lot of Hitler's success can be attributed to the political and economic conditions (like Nasrallah, the shrewd politician that he is, riding the wave of "World Jihad" as introduced by Osama bin Laden; the vast poverty in the Muslim world as a remnant of colonial times, its ethical backwardness). But most of Hitler's success in the first years was due to the fact that people, inside and outside Germany, couldn't believe that such lunacy is possible. That if these words were spoken with such conviction - it must be true. Are you going to be as gullible? Will you a allow him to insult your intelligence, to sell your well-being for his love of fame, for power? I hope you won't. Because I wish you peace...
26. we are equal
yori nar ,   kala south africa   (07.29.07)
I trust nasrallah he is realistic coherent and he take promises
27. Thank You Nasrallah, u made the world safe from evil.
(07.29.07)
saying thank you is not enough..
28. #24 your question doesn't make sense..
(07.29.07)
29. #10
(07.29.07)
yes, he will eventually disappear. most if not all arab nations including lebanon, but of course, excluding syria and iran are so sick and tired of him. and you may have noticed how not a SINGLE ARAB NATION CAME TO HIS/LEBANON'S AID WHILE THE SECOND LEB WAR WAS GOING ON. what does that tell you? arab nations and mainly the saudis, lebanese, egyptians, jordanians, etc... even lybians regimes denounced him for the lunatic he is. at the end, my friend, nasrallah will be relegated to the anals of history since none of these arab regimes, fearing for their autocratic absolute seat do not wish an islamic sharia state in their midst....too risky, and therefore, they themselves, behind the world's back were praying for nasrallah's and hizbolla's defeat. and they were defeated miliktaristically since, as we speak, there are not a single one of their soldiers near the israeli borders and they were not able to operate freely despite the rhetoric and sword waving by their terrorist organiozation. this has been a huge blow to iran's and syria's plan who only got a taste of the response israel will have should they try any military manouver on the golan heights or somewhere else again. in this sense, what happened during this last war was a huge deterence to the arabs, especially syria. syria is deathly afraid and is trying with great difficulty to shake iran off their back even though they need them desperately for finance and economical survival. syria, despite iran's pressure will never mount an attack on israel too interested in joining the west and freeing itself from its total global isolation imposed on it by iran's actions and ahmadinejad fiery speeches. hassan will end up like yasser arafat...alone in a dark candle lit office, still screaming to the arab nations to join the jihad for the palestinian cause.....like bibi netanyahu said about arafat.......he's irrelevant. and so will nasra;;ah be. he knows it and he also knows his days are numbered. he'll never again live as a free man, ever.
