What would happen if a map of Israel is shown on Channel 10? The closed-fist-like with an index-up north of ‘Israel’ is surrounded by thousands of Hezbollah combatants, UNIFIL, etc... As one moves south, he’ll find a 10-time-like Gaza Strip that is sandwiched between the Mediterranean to the west – probably where Najad claims he is going to throw the Israelis – and the demographically swelling, cancerous-like gland called West Bank, to the east. To halt the bulge, the ‘Great Wall of Israel’ was built – allegedly to stop Palestinian ‘insurgents’ from infiltrating into ‘Israel’, to protect the mushroom-like growing settlements and put the Palestinians in the hugest jail ever been built, in collaboration with Jordan of course. As one advances south, he could find nothing but the deserts and the simulated, heaven-like resorts on the Red Sea. This is the view from four feet above the map. After contemplation, one would only find a place where a state is jailing itself with two emergency exits: ironically, both lead to the sea. If Jews don’t read history to foretell the future, they must use Google Earth to forebode it. The problem with you people is your mentality. Thanks goodness that it has always been like that since the dawn of history and I hope it remains the same. Should you like to be enlightened, especially those who send their comments thousands of miles away (from the US), you may go here: http://www.dissidentvoice.org/Articles4/Jones_Palestine.htm Happy surfing and please keep up that character beating.
33. #4. Monique, what street corner do you stand on?
Persian CAT   (07.29.07)
I'd like to toss a few coins in your tin cup. Your "oratory" and advice to the Lebanese is full of hearfelt concern about the plight of the Lebanese in the hands of monsters. You are as fake as a three dollar bill.

Unlike you I want to see a real peace in this world, there is no reason why there should be so much hatred and violence in life. Listen to the wods of Martin Luther King,Ghandi,Jesus we are all Gd's children and he wants us all to live as brothers in peace and harmony! Why do you think he put us here on earth together to kill each other?
35. Who Won The War?
Sexy Arabian Guy ,   Saudi Arabia   (07.29.07)
That was so much briefs about what Sayed Nasrollah was talking about for more than an hour and a half. That is how you hide the real things. You could not defend anything of what he said. Do you dare for a war now? Not only in Lebanon but even in Syrai or furhter in Iran. Hamas is growing in Palestine also.
36. The pipe dreams of Hezbollah
Moti ,   Herzliya   (07.29.07)
The Hezbollah reminds me the attitude prevailed in Israel during the 1950s regarding soccer games with foreign teams. Whenever the Israeli soccer team managed to score a goal to a strong European team, the match was considered a victory, although the whole match was actually lost to the other team. The same goes with the Arabs. Indeed the Hezbollah has managed to score a goal, but they sustained considerable destruction in Lebanon, by far greater compared to the destruction inflicted on Israel. Hezbollah had lost many more soldiers and the end result was that Israeli army ended up on Lebanese soil and not the other way. So, I fail to understand how Hezbollah considers the war as a victory
37. What else can Nasrallah do?

You are brained washed. He is a liar because you do not have a mind to think about. Israel is occupying the lebenese land till now. They did not reject that. How the hell you said a lie? They did not say that hte kidnapped soldiers were kidnapped from Occupied Palestine. Tehy accepted they were kidnapped from a lebenese lands. You know how to negotiate with weapons. You know how to kill kids for telling you destroy where the missiles were fired. Are you ready for anotehr round? I doubt about it.
39. Israel Won The War But ......
Sexy Arabian Guy ,   KSA   (07.29.07)
If you think you won the war, tell me how? What is the achievment you did? Did you kill Nasrollah? Did you get the kidnapped soldiers? Did you prevent the missile from North? What you did only you kill the kids and civilans. You could not kill the Hizbollah men as you were avoiding them. You could not get the soldiers because you are stupid you lost more than 150 soldiers for only 2 soldiers. So you lost more soldiers. The missiles are running till Haifa and further. The next target is Tel Aviv and taht is the reason why did you stop bombing Beirut. One more thing, you were asking help from US and some Arabs. Viva Your victory.

Neither your preach of a pseudointellectual nor your link can change one fact: our Bible! I hope you will read it some day.
41. #15, well answer this...
Danny   (07.29.07)
If the Lebanese "love freedom" how come they put up with Syrian occupation for 15 years? How come you aren't fighting the incursions by Syria on your land? You've read the posts of Israelis, do they sound like people who "believe Nasrallah"? We heard your claims of hundreds of IDF soldiers dead, we heard your claims of sunken ships, downed fighter jets, "massacre" of tanks and we know it isn't true. When we won in 1967, did we feel the urge to pretend that we actually did it in 3 days? When we won in 1973, did we feel the need to pretend that all our causalties are "civilians"? No, that's because we ACTUALLY won as opposed to pretending. Because when you ACTUALLY win as opposed to pretending, you don't need to make up fake conquests. Really what's your claim to fame? That you were able to fire rockets for 33 days? The Palestinians have been doing it for nearly 7 years... When you have a real victory, trust me, you'll have enough facts to back yourself up. PS hows your tent city going in Beirut? Last time I checked it out it was "members-only".... So much for camping until the Siniora gov falls!
42. #32, mind rewriting that in english?
Danny   (07.29.07)
I don't speak fluent gibberish... My understanding is that you are claiming that Israel is going to be pushed into the sea? Well, maybe you want to check Google Earth and see where the relative positions of both armies where at the end of the war. We were in Lebanon and except for 10 mins when you decided to launch an unprovoked attack on a sovereign neighbour you were never in Israel.
43. Peace is in the changing arab definition of "winning"
Danny   (07.29.07)
Lets look at the evolution: 1948 - to destroy Israel and push all Jews into the sea. 1967 - to destroy Israel using the combined might of four armies. 1973 - that they managed to surprise Israel and for two weeks have her on her backfoot. 1982 - that the PLO wasn't completely wiped out and managed to reform in irrelevency in Tunis. 2005 - that the Palestinans were able to fire rockets commonly derided as "firecrackers" 2006 - that Israel would lose a handful of tanks, have minor damage to a ship that switched all it countermeasures off, and that Hizbollah would be able to fire rockets - which when the Palestinians fire the same type are "firecrackers" - at the end. That THEY would not be completed wiped out. 2008? - That Israel doesn't "dare" attack Lebanon - not that it wanted to, it has been trying to pullout since 1982 - that the only Israelis going to Lebanon are tourists and businessmen and that Israel is "forced" to recognise the international border with Lebanon and Lebanon "agrees" to do the same. What's the word for this?....
44. To #39 - By all means Israel won the war
Moti ,   Herzliya   (07.29.07)
By all measurable factors Israel had won the war: 1. Destruction in Lebanon. 2. Number of killed. 3. Territory. (Israel occupied at the end of the war large territories in Lebanon). I wonder what are your factors of measuring a victory. Indeed, to set a goal of freeing the captured soldiers was unrealistic. P.S Read my post #36 to give you some more insights regarding your victory.
45. #39, I guess that's what happens when..
Danny   (07.29.07)
you don't have a free press.... I think you'll find we lost just over 100 soldiers or less than what we lost on the first day of 1967 - did we lose then? - as for the causalty figures I think you'll find not even Hizbollah claim that none of their fighters were killed. At the beginning of the war 50% of the rockets were long-range ones and at the end they were 2%. You kept on claiming you were going to hit Tel Aviv and guess what you never did, despite the fact we were bombing in and around Beirut up till the very end. Finally which arabs were we asking for help from? Maybe you have us confused with the speech Nasrallah gave attacking arab states for leaving Hizbollah to fight alone.... You have internet access, read a decent newspaper - I know they are difficult to find.
46. Dear Adrian, # 32
Isragirl ,   Qiryat Yam,Israel   (07.29.07)
When I open my window, I see the lovely waves of the Mediterranean washing on the shore. My municipality just built a gorgeous new promenade that stretches between the very edge of the Haifa Bay, where the sea port boasts with ships from around the world, to the fences of the Rafael Factory, a mighty underground military facility that Nasrallah was trying to bomb last summer. The promenade is beautiful. Come and see where his rockets hit a hostel for the elderly Ethiopian immigrants. We rebuilt the building within days after the end of the war. Haifa is more beautiful then ever, so is Nahariya, where women are more beautiful, healthy and sun drenched than you can imagine. My dad is recovering from a stroke, we take him for a walk on the beach every day, look at the caves of Rosh Hanikra seen from a distance and plan to visit it once he can take a 40 minutes ride in a car. His physical therapist comes in every day, courtesy of our medical system, and says that soon he will be as good as new. I think, as you know, life on the ground is not as dramatic as you want to present it when looking on the map. But if you live in a bunker for fear of a sophisticated attack from our "failed and defeated" government, or if you live in a building crumbling because Nasrallah first sacrificed you and then betrayed you, then you might want to be a little bit of a drama queen and foresee doom for Israel. Good luck with that. :o)

# 40 Sorry for writing a piece that is beyond your perception, but don’t you think that “Your Bible” is a distorted, pseudointellectual book that was corrupted by your Rabbis? Where the hell is “Your Messiah”? I do not want to change this highly intellectual talk for you into a religious war – which in fact is the case now, as it has always been and shall ever be, but excuse my gentile comments when I quote from “Your Bible”: When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it. And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee. And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it: And when the LORD thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword: But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the LORD thy God hath given thee. (Deu 20:10-15) When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege: Only the trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for meat, thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee, until it be subdued. (Deu 20:19-20) Is it enough or should I go on? And you still await “Your Messiah” to deliver you. Deliver you from what? Yourselves? # 42 Sorry, Danny, but I am not also that fluent in Hebrew-British slang. # 46 Well, doll, I rest my case: Israel is Heaven on Earth. Your medical insurance system is a second to none. Nasrallah first sacrificed us and then betrayed us. Enjoy Haifa as much as you can: you have surely done great things there: genocide, exodus of Palestinians (Muslims and Christians – oops, sorry gentiles), massacres, a lot of massacres and more massacres, great landscaping, glorious buildings, amazing beaches, etc... Pray that would last, for I am an Orthodox Jew (not a drama queen) and I do foresee doom for Israel.
49. Adrian, I'm intrigued...
Isragirl ,   Qiryat Yam,Israel   (07.29.07)
According to your last post, you are: an Orthodox Jew from Beirut who supports Hizballah; a gentile who recites Tanakh at length but definitely not a drama queen; and a misogynist who called me a doll (how 1930's of you). You are also a fortune teller (Doom for Israel, news at 11!) and a patient reader of every talkback. Well, welcome to the Ynet Universe. This is going to be fun... :o)
50. LOL
Adrian ,   Beirut, Lebanon   (07.29.07)
Laughing out loud at that last comment... I am so contradicting, aint I? Aint we all? Dissect our feelings... You'll find the answer there... still laughing out loud...
51. Finally, a sign of sense of humour...

it tends to bring the best out in people. Even in the most cynical ones. Have a sane day... :o)
52. To all lebanese
Lebanese ,   From Beirut   (07.30.07)
who posted above, pretending to be christians or even jewish orthodox, you are all making fool of yourselves. It's either you are lying to yourselves or so dumb to see the truth. Hezballah is the ennemy #1 to Lebanon, what Israel couldn't destroy Hezb is finishing it with the support of the ex-fugitive still coward general Aoun. When are you gonna wake up and start really caring about Lebanon, stop your hatred and your death culture and focus on life. PS; isagirl you made want to come one day and visit your country. Inshallah soon one day once the peace agreement will be signed.

Don't you think it is better that you start working on your English first before you give us all a blow here, my fellow Lebanese, especially that you are an ally of USA for the time being? Ou préférez-vous français?
54. Nasrallah
Calber Cadillac ,   USA   (07.30.07)
Nasrallah and the muslims are again rewriting history. No knucle heads. Israel attacked you because of the rockets being fired by Lebonese muslims into Israel's northern cities. Israel was responding to muslim aggression. Obvious like all these muslim Nasrallah is trying sell lies the rest of the world knows is just plain non-sense.
