1. Highway to Hell
WOW   (07.29.07)
This country is just killing itself in every possible way it is amazing to see it. Starting from the leaders like Olmert and the rest of the crooks running this Country.
2. I am sick
Josh   (07.29.07)
Children should not be given to the mentally ill. It is not genetic, it is a choice made by mentally damaged individuals who either are in rebellion against norms or suffer from abuse themselves. These should not be allowed to take a child and form them into the same. We know how gays sell their lifestyle to the lonely and parade in the streets. Is this not a sign of insecurity and mental problems. If they really believed themselves it was genetic, they wouldn't sell it to heterosexuals. It is evil to make an excuse when the obvious is clear. Same sex is about the mental issues of having sex in the wrong manner. G-d intended for man and woman to partner -- end of story. Certainly we should not give them the benifits of normal sex, if they do not want to do it the right way.
3. Governments are against natural families.
m   (07.29.07)
Every child has the right to a mother and Father, To 'deliberately' deny a child this natural right is despicable. There is no doupt that many deviant sexual orientated people can 'provide' a home and caring. But to 'intently' set out and deliberately break a 'natural' order is criminal. But mankind has done this in many fields even to breaking down natural enviroments of water and land. God will destroy those who destroy his earth and this includes his natural arrangement of family order.
4. Experimenting in the dark
Avi ,   hilltop, Israel   (07.29.07)
Now I'm not going to hyperventilate or curse like a lot of other talkbacker will, I'm sure. After all, people who fail to recognise the sanctity of Shabbat and the Land of Israel cannot be expected to understand the moral implications of a same-sex union. But can we agree please that our leadership is playing irresponsible games with the upbringing of the next generation? Massive social engineering has been undertaken in the past few years with NO KNOWLEDGE of how they will affect our children. Including the criminalisation of corporal punishment, the abolishment of real discipline and consequences in our schools, the indoctrination with moral relativism (the list could go on) and now raising orphans in homosexual households, can we agree that for the first time in centuries, we have next to no idea what the next generation of people will be like? Let's say that the theories behind all the changes are perfectly sound and moral. But they are untested, and our children are the guinea pigs. And lots of these people oppose pesticides, irradiation, and genetically engineered foods because "we don't know what the effect will be." At least those products go through some testing before they are given to humans.
5. !!!!?
(07.29.07)
no child should have to grow up in a gay family
6. More ultra-left insanity. Support Moshe Feiglin.
Jeremiah ,   Israel's Jewish Land   (07.29.07)

7. Adopt, so why not marry?
Pat   (07.29.07)
8. gay parents
Russ ,   Tel Aviv   (07.29.07)
When gay couple adopts a child, they get the child only after lots of interrogation and after having proved their intense desire to have a child and that they have more than adequet means to support the child. I assure you, that no gay couple will forget their kid in a car, nor will a gay couple beat a child to death.(2 horrible incidents that happened in Israel recently) The child will be given the best of everything - and a loving home.
9. fantastic!
rpc ,   modiin, israel   (07.29.07)
now these children won't have to grow up all alone in the world, with no one to love or take care of them. why does anyone care if their parents are gay? does that mean they don't know how to love and support each other?
10. Great
charles ,   petach tikva   (07.29.07)
not only for people wanting to adopt their partner's child , but for the many children who are waiting to be adopted , and to be in a family where they receive much love .
11. Toeivah! Bring down the gov't
Paqid 16 Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (07.29.07)
12. #1 highway to hell
stephen ,   ludlow USA   (07.29.07)
The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. Isa:3-9 Read all of chapter 3, it's coming
13. Kudos to the government
Simon ,   Malha   (07.29.07)
The government is showing how they can actually make Israel modern and demonstrate support for those that would be ignored by a religious state. At the end of the day, no human being or Rabbinical court can really judge a person and whether they are right or wrong - GD will. So any government in the future has to be aware that it can't simply support its own - types. A religious government is in charge of a broad spectrum of people and that goes beyound religious outlook - it includes gays and lesbians. So the Olmert government is showing the future political leaders the one clear message that can't be forgotten - a government leads all at the end of the day!
14. Well I guess we now know...
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (07.29.07)
...why those pious Yeshiva boys died of heat stroke. The lack of water had nothing at all to do with it. [sarcasm]
15. Good Decision
Esther ,   Ofarim, Israel   (07.29.07)
Children need to have a home, with parents that love and want them. There are too many children stuck in the foster care system. If homes can be found for them, everyone wins, ESPECIALLY the children.
16. Russ , Tel Aviv
charles ,   petach tikva   (07.29.07)
Not only Gays have to pass interrogations , heterosexual couples too . They also receive lessons , the childs are followed up . Those childs become only theirs after six months , and only after favorable reports made by social assistants and psychologists . Adopting children is not an easy process , you have truly to want it . But what a pleasure when you see those happy children , who feel it that they are loved .
17. Good luck queers, you're gonna need it!
(07.29.07)
18. Good Progress: Now let them marry
Laila ,   Montreal, Canada   (07.29.07)
Finally the Gays can get equal rights. Now they should be allowed to marry.
19. when iran slaughters tel aviv we'll rejoice
faygel hole   (07.29.07)
20. Isaac Herzog - son of chaim yms who murdered 6 million
gaydolf sh*tler   (07.29.07)
what's this scumbags quote? one faygel in palestine is worth 1000 dead jews in jerusalem?
21. Homophobia is irrational ....
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (07.29.07)
A product of ignorance & fear, quite possibly associated with less than normal attitudes to sex generally & fear of their own sexual identity in particular. Reading some of the talk-backs, I would be concerned about such hateful people raising children rather than a gay couple. An excellent case could be made that Haredim should not raise children. What in their life-style would most people find "normal"? How about very fundamentalist Muslims that raise their children to believe in suicide for Islam? Or Christian Scientists that don't believe in modern medical treatment? Or any other group that is not part of the majority? Maybe single parents shouldn't raise children either. Actually, how well would anyone stand up to an indepth review by psychiatrists as to their fitness as parents? Common sense tells you that gay parents would be no better nor worse than anyone else.
22. How many pedophiles are waiting for this big break?
Mother in Israel ,   And not religious   (07.29.07)
I can understand lesbians being allowed to adopt but why risk endangering children by allowing them to be raised by potential pedophiles? Does anyone really want to take this risk? This one thing alone is enough reason to bury this idea for good.
23. what do you expect????
Mike ,   Jerusalem   (07.29.07)
What do you expect from a government whose predecessors kidnapped religious yemenite children to eradicate their ties to Judaism by giving them up for adoption to secular families? Now they will put them in a perverted lifestyle setting to destroy more jewish souls
24. Disgusting.
Mark   (07.29.07)
Children need Mom and Dad and not Mom and Mom oder Dad and Dad. Disgusting.
25. Gay adoptions
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (07.29.07)
What's better? Being loved by gays or being pawned off to one foster home after the other? How many foster parents really love those kids and invest the time and effort into their care that it takes and how many barely tolerate them for the money they get from the state?
26. The gay agenda http://nambla.org
Mordechai   (07.29.07)
Check out http://nambla.org. This is a mainstream gay organization in the US committed to promoting sexual relationships between adult men and children.
27. ADOPTION
ZIPPY ,   TEL AVIV,ISRAEL   (07.29.07)
LOVE IT,THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO ADOPT AS MANY KIDS AS THEY WANT
28. IT IS TOO SOON TO TELL FOR SURE!
Sheikh yer Bu'Tay   (07.29.07)
There is yet no reliable body of research that compares children being raised in same-sex versus mother/father homes. We are just beginning the same-sex family experiment; therefore there are not significant populations of such families for scientists to observe over long periods of time. "Research exploring the diversity of parental relationships among gay and lesbian parents is just beginning" 1 It is just too soon to tell! "Thus far, NO WORK has compared children's long-term achievement in education, occupation, income and other domains of life" 2 (capitals added) 1. Ellen C. Perrin, MD, "Technical Report: Coparent and Second-Parent Adoption by Same-Sex Parents," Pediatrics, Vol. 109 No. 2, (2002) p.341 2. 29. Risky decision.. too soon to tell!
Sheikh yer Bu'Tay   (07.29.07)
"From a sound methodological perspective, the results of these studies (LGBT parenting) can be relied on for one purpose - to indicate that further research ...is warranted. The only acceptable conclusion at this point is that the literature on this topic does not constitute a solid body of scientific evidence." 3 Studies on same-sex parenting are plagued with "persistent limitatation[s]. ...As a result, we cannot be confident concerning the generalizability of many of the findings. ..."4 The authors of an American Sociological Review study, though personally sympathetic with the idea of the same-sex family, "disagree with those who claim that there are no differences between the children of herterosexual parents and children of lesbigay parents. ..."5 3. 30. What research tells us for sure.
Sheikh yer Bu'Tay   (07.29.07)
SOLIDLY REPLICATED RESEARCH tells us: "Almost everyone - a few retrograde scholars excepted - agrees that children in mother-only homes suffer harmful consequences: the best studies show that these youngsters are more likely than those in [mother/father] families to be suspended from school, have emotional problems, become delinquent, suffer from abuse and take drugs." Quoted from Jame Q. Wilson, " Why We Don't Marry," City Journal, www.cityjournal.org/html/ "Overall, father love appears to be as heavily implicated as mother love in offsprings' psychological well-being and health." Quoted from Ronald P. Rohner and Robert A. Venezianno, "The Importance of Father Love: History and Contemprary Evidence," Review of General Psychology 5.4 (2001): 382 - 405. "Female-headed households reported the greatest number of chronic [physical health] conditions for their children, regardless of racial or ethnic status." Quoted from Ronald J. Angel and Jacqueline Worobey, "Single Motherhood and Children's Health," Journal of Health and Social Behavior 29 (1988): 38 - 52; Ronald J. Angel and Jacqueline L. Angel, Painful Inheritance: Health and the New Generation of Fatherless Families, (Madison: University of Wisconsin Press, 1993).
