1. i didnt know our situation was so dire
rashid ,   palistinian   (08.10.07)

2. sderot, Sderot, SDEROT CAN ANYONE IN ISRAEL HEAR US?!??!?!
Sasson ,   Sderot   (08.10.07)
WHERE IS EVERYONE? Going about there day and turning a blind eye to Sderot. WHERE ARE YOU ISRAELIS?!?!?!? Releasing our killers, kicking Jews out of their homes, doing everything under the sun EXCEPT HELPING YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO ARE IN NEED. YOU ARE THE SICK MONSTERS - CARING MORE ABOUT SUDAN ILLEGALS THAN YOUR OWN BRETHREN. WHERE IS EVERYONE?!??!?
3. Look for sympathy somewhere else.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (08.10.07)
I seem to be fresh out, at least for Palestinians. This is the result of their continuing war against us - it is basically self-inflicted. They are getting what they deserve. There are millions upon millions of people in the world who deserve sympathy, aid, anything we can do to help. One of the unfortunate by-products of the Palestinian & more generally, Muslim, obsession with destroying us is the lack of attention to those truly deserving help, be it in Africa, Asia, or S. America. So take your sob story somewhere else.
4. #1 rashid, a good place to start is by losing the pathology
Cameron ,   USA   (08.10.07)
5. Guns or butter
andrew ,   sf, usa   (08.10.07)
Fatah was corrupt and didn't know how to run municipalities. Fine, kick them out and take Hamas. At least Hamas has exposure to the basic needs of the people and has experience meeting some of them. But why do you think it will be better with Hamas? They have squandered who knows how many tens of millions of dollars on weapons instead of sewage treatment or water. Your muslim brothers could throw a sewage treatment plant into Gaza, but they don't. Why not? It's not like it becomes an Israeli target. It's because you Palestinians are used. Your muslim brothers don't really care about you and what you need, they only care about using you against the Israelis. And you guys are so easily duped. Why don't you say: Hamas, instead of buying rockets that will invite Israeli reprisals, can you spend a bit on water purification plants. Must be nice waiting for handouts.
6. So why is this Israel's fault?
Judith ,   Winnipeg Manitoba   (08.11.07)
The Palestinian authority can't keep the water flowing even though they get more per capita aid than any other group of refugees in the world and yet somehow it is Israel, Israel who was attacked by them in the first place, is at fault and shouod be fixing it even if it means Israelis will die doing it. The Wall went up not to cause them misery but to stop the suicide bombers sent by their leadership and picked from among their own people and supported and cheered byt them. There are consequences for choosing to hate instead of coexist.
7. #4 Cameron, you misspelled it. It's bathology.
Benet   (08.11.07)
8. So what is the point here?
Hamburger ,   Hamburg   (08.11.07)
Bad Israelis collectively punish poor Palis? Give me a break... Give us all a break!
9. They prefer terror - let them eat bomb belts
Rachel ,   Negev   (08.11.07)
The wall went up because they are bad neighbors who use all their energy and skill to blow us up. When Israel evacuated Gaza they voted Hamas. These people believe that this life is worthless and prefer paradise and they have condemned their own children to the same crappy life they have chosen. Who can have sympathy for any of them?
10. To Rashid #1. Be Engaged In Positive Activities.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (08.11.07)
You asked :"Any ideas out there, ..". There is ONLY one possibility left to improve your own lives : namely, get a higher education and continue advancing your practical education -- even by mail, if College is not available nearby. THAN -- inspire other Arab youths to do that also. While studying, come together -- and make a PLAN how to improve your village (or your neighbourhood in case you are living in a city). ALSO : go door to door in your village -- and make a list of things needed to improve their lives. BTW the EU and UN gave you guys in 2006 an amount of US $ 1,1 billion dollar in aid. SO, don't use that money to buy bullets, guns or bombs -- use that money to ENHANCE your village. Meaning : for general benefit -- NOT for personal benefit. BTW you will NEVER be able to improve your living standard -- by launching Kassam rockets, - by propagating hatred against Jews, Christians, Israel or USA. These are negative activities -- so, don't do that. You should be engaged in positive activities -- like mentioned early on.
11. Helpless?
Robert Tilden ,   Sheridan, Wyoming   (08.11.07)
It is Allah's will that they not shower. Who are we to change the situation? Allah wills that Palestinians forever fight for their unelianable rights and 'justice' while thirsty. It's also 'Arab honor'..... When they take some responsibility for themselves maybe there could be some hope. I really have no sympathy for people who insist on dismissing reality in favor of keys to houses that they never saw, and then they come back and complain about lack of water. Israel also lacks water, but what did Israel do about it? A desalinization plant in Ashkelon is what keeps the Israeli lawns green. The writer forgot to mention that when comparing how much Israel is pumping. The writer should do his homework about the Israeli water system. One third comes from the Kineret, a quarter each come from the mountain and coastal aquifer, one sixth comes from the sea in Ashkelon and Eilat. This flexability is what allows Israel to stay green while the Palestinians have gurgling pipes. And it is not Israel's problem. Let THEM drink from the sea.
12. lack of water?
(08.12.07)
13. what to do?
chava ,   yerushalayim   (08.12.07)
It's a problem. The PA and lots of other countries would like to see Israel gone. Many people living in PA controlled areas agree. But many do NOT. What should they do? I don't know. I don't agree with a lot of what the Israel government does. Other Israelis agree with me. We demonstrate, we argue,we vote,we refuse. But what do we change? How many came to demonstrations against leaving GK? How many fought and argued. 250,000 at one demonstration alone. Still, it happened. What to do? I don't know. What can rashid (#1) do? I don't know.
14. Their real distress will start when Feiglin will expel them!
Dudu ,   Kfar Sava   (08.13.07)
15. water shortage
Uri ,   Israel   (08.19.07)
It is never a good idea to form an opinion after a short visit. If Deheishe is in the B zone, then water supply is the responsibility of the Palestinian Authority. A broken pump should be fixed, for example, with the use of the endless aid money that is given to the Palestinians and disappears faster tthan the first automn rain soaks into the ground. Israel may screwing the Palestinians by giving them too little water, but this is not necessarily the reason for a lousy water supply system in a refugee camp.
