This reeks of an inside job, but dontcha worry - the world is already hip to how these things just *happen*. A Pali just went *crazy* for ideological reasons. Just happened to be a Yeshiva. You are transparent and not even original at this point messrs. Shabak and Co.
5. Thank God we are forcing peace down their throats.
Jeremiah ,   Israel's Jewish Land   (08.10.07)
When we give them half our country they'll probably be nicer, at least after about 5 years according to Barak. Then we'll be able to go to the the new Palestinian State of glorious peace and drink tea with them and be all European chic. Oh yeah and in about 100 years or probably less everyone here will be able to speak the new language Hebarabic. It'll be so much fun living happily ever after.
6. No identity of 18 year old ?
Marcel ,   Florida   (08.10.07)
Of course the incompetent government of Olmert Kadima could niot find identiy papers on this Palestinian ,if they did it would become a great embarrasment to them. He was most likely recently granted amnesty when he turned in his WW1 weapon in Ramallah. I wonder how he got into the Old City without papers ? He was probally invited there by OlmertBarakPeres peace at all cost team of destroyers of Israel.
7. Police too busy throwing Jews out of thir homes
Al   (08.10.07)
to be concerned with proper training and markmanship. Mr Cohen should wory less about the polico dreck and sharpen up his police force. The police are not a political tool. They are there to protect the people. Its time that the Jews of Israel set their prorities or they will be marked for history.

14. Ya Tibi, shut up you hypocrite
Avraham ,   NYC   (08.10.07)
Arabs murdered a bound Jew in Shfar'am (Natan Zada), and here Tibi is making noise about the terrorist already being down in Jerusalem when he was killed. First, I'd imagine these are lies. Second, where are Tibi's principles? He's a member of Knesset. In his eyes Jew and Arabs should be equal in their treatment, right?
15. This is the only way to fight the terror Bravo to guard

Since when does reputable journalism include suppositions from a criminal that not only was not around to witness, but isn't even in the country. Great going to the security guard and to the people kvetching along the way -- thank G-d and the guard that you are alive.
22. # 3 For American Readers...
JD ,   DC   (08.10.07)
First of all I don't know what your linked article had to do with this story. Second, I could write an series of books with a whole laundry list of evil and brutal dictators that have been put in power and kept in power by the United States. Let's see now shall we. The US overthrew a democratically elected Mossedegh in Iran, because he wanted to nationalize oil and put in place the Shah of Iran, who was a very oppressive dictator. (BTW Israel is also complicite in keeping the Shah in power). This is one reason why there is so much anti-American and anti-Israeli sentiment in Iran today. Oh and secondly, our favorite dictator Saddam Hussein. We kept this man in power by giving him weapon after weapon. We pushed him to go to war with Iran and kept feeding his army weapons to fight with. Don't forget that Saddam could have NEVER built chemical and biological weapons without the assistance of the US! Just think about that one... we gave Saddam the chemical and biological weapons that we then used as a reason to launch a war on this man. Hypocritical much? We turned a blind eye when he used these weapons in war and against civilians and kept helping him make more. We imposed sactions on Iraq that only hurt and killed thousands upon thousands of civilians and didn't harm Saddam one bit. Now we've launched a war on false premises and created a mess in Iraq all in the name of "freedom." Where was our cause of freedom when we were helping this dictator out? Coincidentally it was not really a change of administration that made us so adamant about spreading freedom, because the same people who designed this war against Saddam were the same ones who supported him in the first place! I could also go in-depth about the overthrow of the democratically elected Salvador Allende and the instalment of Augusto Pinochet in Chile. Or talk about the numerous dictators and civil wars we ignited in South and Latin America, both of which killed millions of civilians. Or we could go and talk about Africa. Or even today in the Middle East where we consistantly suppress democratic movements in favor of autocratic rulers who are loyal to the US. So much for the vision of freedom and liberty so vividly promoted by our Founding Fathers. America does not support the cause of democracy and freedom around the world. It supports its intrests. It supports whatever will give it the most power and money. Even if that means coddling up to dictators and tyrants. This artcile on SA in pure crap. As Jesus said, "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" Maybe this author should heed those words before he criticizes other countries.
23. #3 Thanks for the article on South Africa
Kevin G ,   Oregon   (08.10.07)
There is a widespread and mistaken belief that third world poor are, by the mere fact of being oppressed, somehow better than the rest of us, and that once given power, they'll conduct themselves according to higher principles. This is the same belief that makes Israelis and others support the Sudanese migrants. They are poor and they suffer, therefore they are "good people". Here's an article on the Sudanese gangs in Australia. Worth reading too. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,20867,21013233-2702,00.html And this applies to Israel's own conflict with the Palestinians who, in the eyes of Leftists - can do no wrong. The Left believes that when they obtain statehood, they will also become a democratic country, respectful of human rights (like their ideal binational state). By the way, regarding South Africa, the signs were all there during the struggle. The ANC behavior was far from principled. They committed horrendous crimes that, out of political correctness, the Western media failed to mention at all.

Jew ,   Eretz Israel   (08.10.07)
DON'T WORRY. THEY WILL PROVE TO THE GOOD ISRAELI COURTS THAT HE SHOULD'VE NOT CHASED THE TERRORIST, THAT HE FIRED TOO MANY SHOTS, THAT THE GUARD SHOULD'VE TAKEN AT LEAST 3 HITS NOT 1 BEFORE STARTING TO FIRE BACK, ETC. DONT WORRY. THE INTERNAL TRAITORS WILL "TAKE CARE" OF THIS HERO!
30. #22...one question...
DR ,   Florida, USA   (08.10.07)
Why do you still ive in the US? If we are so evil and only promote war and death, why do you choose to be a part of our nation? No one will argue that the US doesn't look after its own self interest...this is what every nation does. But World War 2 proved to be a changing of the gaurd in the world. That war put the US above all else and since then, we have become the worlds police. Many people don't like this, but its just the way history played out. As bad as the US may seem, it is still the most democratic country in the world and this is why millions of foreigners come every year...to work, to learn, to live etc.
