Poor IDF, which was AGAIN confronted by a well-equipped and trained force operating like Hezbollah. Well, excuse me while I laugh. Hamas fighters were outgunned and outmatched as always, and the IDF just sat back in their tanks on this flat land, waiting for some fighters to dare try to confront their armor in the open. Hamas doesn't really care about this stuff; it only give them more popular support. Israel thinks these operations enforte their detterence and is good training for their young soldiers who, for the most part, just want to fire their guns as much as possible. Hamas and other groups, meanwhile, retain their hability to launch their ridiculously primitive rockets from densely populated areas in which they very well know the IDF will never go.

Yes you Israelis complain. Qassam rockets have killed 20 people in the last seven years. In a single spree, like that in May, the IDF killed three times as many people, including the entire family and one neighbor of one lawmaker. And now that settlements and settlers that were in the West Bank illegally for the last 40 years are finally being dismantled, you Israelis say that Israel is being destroyed. You even accuse the United States and Europe, who have and are giving Israel 100s of billions of dollars in aid and sophisticated weapons, of joining forces with some force and destroying Israel. I'm not responsible for the actions of my government (nobody including yourself really is). Some actions, like the war in afghanistan and chechnya I've opposed. And I've never drank vodka, thank you very much. Enough said.

Your talkback stinks of propoganda. No one really thinks that Israelis like killing and that this is what thay always do. Your ignorant post ignores several issues that are relevant to this topic. 1. What have Palestinians done to stop terror? 2. Why do Palestinians continue to teach their kids to hate Jews and want ti kill Jews? 3. I'll comment on each four questions: 1. What have Israelis done to limit aggression on Palestinians? Even as there is a West Bank truce, they keep up their invasions, kidnappings, and random shootings. There has been a severe reduction of suicide bombings if you haven't noticed. The last one by Hamas was in the August of either 2004 or 2005. The IDF now kills 30 times as many Palestinians as the opposite Pal to Israeli killings. 2. Oh what do you expect? They took their land, their country and their future. Palestinians want it back and are not afraid to die to achieve this. When the Nazis invaded Poland, France, and other countries, there was always resistance/terrorism to fight for their liberation. That German who used a bomb to assassinate Hitler is an example. 3. Why don't you research this? Apparently Arabic was once the universal language for science. Baghdad was once the capital of world culture. One such book written by a scholar is the cornerstone of modern medicine. But why would ask a Russian to tell you this? Do your own research! 4. It is your delusion that Iran and Syria are terror states. What your country does is gather all your enemies and label them authoritarians, terrorists and then slander them; that you did to Russia throughout the cold war. Iran is an ally of Russia and so is Syria. Israel is an ally of the US and therefore receives arms from it. The difference is that Israel constantly resorts to force. It invaded Lebanon 5 times; it is always at war using silly pretexts to carry out wars. There call me what you want now, but I answered all four questions thoughtfully.

What do you expect Israel to do when faced with constant terror attempts from palestinians? Do you not realize that suicide bombers try to infiltrate israel all the time? DR from Florida, when the British mandate was formed, Jews made up 7% of the total population. High levels of immigration by Jews into Palestine from areas like Russia, Europe, and the Americas made the Arab inhabitants suspicious as they should be. Today America is complaining about illegal immigration from Mexico. What if these illegal immigrants thought that the US is for their sole enjoyment and that the inhabitants were to leave? What if they succeeded and then argued that Americans weren't even there? And why should the Palestinians accept to divide the land they held for centuries with foreigners? Syria's was in 1973to return ground captured in the 1967 war. Iran's invaded Iraq, but in retaliation for Saddam's aggression. How about Israel? Well if you don't count daily invasions of West Bank cities (today it was Nablus), then it was last year's invasions of Gaza and Lebanon.
