You go to a person with good sense, clear ethics, and relevant know how. Sometimes that's a rabbi, sometimes its not, but as always, Mark Twain was right about statistics [and polls].

Yahn, what do your parents think about you being a Messianic Jew? Were your grandparents alive when you became one? If so, how did they take it? I'm only asking these questions out of curiosity. Please answer.

I agree, there cannot be such a thing as a Jew without Judaism. It is a fact that the fourth generation of non-religious Jews will be either a hozer b'tshuva (returner to the faith) or a non-Jew.
