You're correct to the extent that many Catholics are circumcised, but that's almost exclusively in the United States. Certainly, no Christian child in Europe would have been circumcised in those days, so it begs the question of how the hell they never noticed.

in the US it is common to circumcise christians but this is because of the Puritains who were very strict Anglicans that believed in circumcision of babies. Most christian circumcisions in the US are handled by a doctor. In Europe and elsewhere in the world, this is simply not the case.

In America also many Christians are circumsized, in Europe it is very uncommon, and especially in Eastern Europe, where even most Jews aren't circumsized today!
