My proposal on a future Palestinian state alongside Israel : A Palestinian state on 100% of Gaza and about 94-97% of the West Bank followed by an even land-swap deal. Jerusalem will be the capital of both Israel and Palestne. All arab areas of Jerusalem will be given to the Palestinians(Including Silwan,Shiek Jarrah in the Holy Basin area) The Mount of Olives will be put under International rule while the Old City will remain an open city but divided. The Muslim,Christian and part of Armaeian will goto Palestine while the Jewish and also partof armenain will go to Israel. The Western Wall will remain Israeli ruled while the Dome of the rock and Al Aqsa Mosque be fully placed under Muslim rule with International monitors ensuring peace and security in the Area. The Palestinian state will be a De-Militarized state it will have a small army with limited arms The Borders,Airspace, and Coastline of the Palestinian state will fully be under its rule with International troops montioring them. There will be a Safe-Passage way betwen Gaza-West Bank will be opened 24/7 unless attacks are committed Drinking Water and Power sources will be shared between Israel and Palestine just as natural resources also There will be 5 Early warning stations in the Palestinian state for a Limited amount of time they will be controlled jointly by the Palestinian army and International troops On the Issue of the Refugees the International world including Israel must recongize the pain and suffering of the 4 Million+ Refugees all refugees will be compensated for loses and pain and suffering the Palestinian refugees can return to the new Palestinian state with a Lmited amount returning to Israel as Israeli-Arabs and follwing the rules of the Jewish state. Now on the Jewish refugees they shall also be compenstated by the Arab states and if wanting to shall have the right to return to there former countries. ALL OF THE ABOVE SHALL BE COMPLETED WITHIN THE CONTEX OF 3-4 YEARS

Israel has often had to curtail military gains during a war... because the tide of battle becomes so one-sided. On the other hand, those times when the balance of power is indeterminant, and Israel is potentially in jeopardy, the USA has repeatedly provided arms so that the Jewish state could protect itself. So the Arabs surely realize that Israel will never be conquered (as long as all the Jewish citizens of the state participate actively in defense) , because...the ability to operate an integrated, cutting edge army...puts the Jews in the advantage. None the less, the Arabs have got to be able to claim some sort of victory ...to asuage their pride. So Bishara boasts of strength and victory....... hopefully he comprehends the truth and only wishes to boost Arab communal pride. Larger scale attacks by the Arabs, invites (less-limited) retaliation by Israel. Again, hopefully Bishara comprehends the truth and will use his stature in pursuit of peace.

Bishara should have been indicted right after he returned from his visit to Syria late last year / early this year (I can't recall exactly when) where he displayed his blatant true feelings of hatred towards Israel. Why wasn't that obvious to our Knesset, and if it was, why wasn't he thrown out ?

Lets see him come and fight or suffer bombings instead of sneaking in after the fighting's done! That proposal would be fine by me, with a little fine-tuning on the issue of Jerusalem. I think the entire Old City should be made an international zone - that includes Al-Aqsa and the Western Wall. The rest of the city will be split down the Middle - East Jerusalem will belong to Palestine, and West Jerusalem to Israel. Of course, no Arab leader will ever agree to this.

your proposal is interesting, but when you say "a limited amount returning to Israel" , what is it in numbers? and don't forget that, while most of Palestinians refugees would like to have the "right of return" to Israel, the jewish refugees however, who are proud citizens of Israel, have no interest in returning to any Arab country, to say the least, nor do i belive, that any Arab state will ever dream of compensating them in any way. nice try however, on your part, to come up with an idea that could maybe develope to something more realistic in the future, and for me as an Israeli , it makes me happy and encouraged to read this type of a positive and creative talkback from a Palestinian, may they be more to come from your people, we really need to hear more from you. god bless.
