1. The real challenge
Frank ,   Canada   (08.26.07)
Physicians for Human Rights should rather challenge why there is no such thing as a functional hospital in territories occupied by Arabs.
2. cognitive dissonance??
Ilan ,   Ariel   (08.26.07)
On this site there are simultaneously articles about a planned mega-terror attack and on the demand to remove road blocks. G-d forbid that Hamas was as effective in exploiting security holes as their allies on the Israeli left were in creating those insecurities.

I live in the "West Bank". Many years ago, before the intifada, the jewish residents got together and donated a much needed medical center for the neighboring village. When the PA moved in, the first thing they did was shut dowqn that medical center. They didn't want any warm fuzzy feelings between arabs and jews. As a former army medic in the IDF, I can tell you that I personally eyewitnessed red crescent ambulances being used during firefights to move armed palestinians around. I never caught them moving weapons but an ambulance is ideal for moving around lots of equipment. That's what they are designed and built to do. Checking them is a nightmare.
5. Crossing lines
Robert Tilden   (08.26.07)
About 6 years ago, there was a bombing in Taba, Egypt. The Egyptians did not let ambulances cross into Sinai from Eilat. The Palestinian ambulances have been compromised and should not get a free pass through the checkpoints.
6. Ambulances
Joe ,   Israel   (08.26.07)
If the Red Crescent did not have a history of moving terrorists and amunition in their ambulances, this would be a valid claim. HOWEVER, the Red Crescent ambulances are nothing more than implements of war. They move armed terrorists, suicide bombers and war materials as a matter of course. G-d forbid that the High Court should be stupid enough to allow them freedom of movement.
7. They want their own state....
Mordechai   (08.27.07)
They want their own state they they can go to their own hospitals. If a person in Canada is sick the ambulance doesn't go to the US even though the US has the better hospital. No more visits to Hadassah Hospital for the PA residents, they can to the PLO and Hamas hospitals.
8. I saw one today...

on derech chevron in J'em. Is this permitted?
9. Let them have it...
Helene ,   Israel   (08.27.07)
Let's be civilized. This kind of incidents only serve to flame the fire... let's do what we can to cool it...
10. Re: They want their own state
MIke ,   USA   (08.27.07)
Mordechai forgets that East Jerusalem is an inseparable part of the West Bank, despite Israel's relentless attempts to sever it in every way, shape and form. They ARE going to their own hospitals. The truly ridiculous part is that an occupying country is blocking passage between two adjacent parts of the same territory...
