So Hamas is planning to carry out a mass casualty attack in Israel, The question is not if Israel will bury Hamas once and for all. It's only a matter of time however, is Israel prepared to hit these misfits in a preemptive strike? As the snake's head extends to Damascus, will Israel liquidate Mashaal and his cronies too?

My first instinct is to ask why the general population in Gaza don't revolt and overthrow Hamas, who clearly have only one goal in mind, and that is the total destruction of Israel. Consequently, their own people are suffering from a lack of basic services and food in the Strip. However, if we are unable to get rid of our own corrupt and useless government, how can I expect the Palestinians to do the same against such a strong militant force? It seems that both peoples (Israelis and Palestinians) are the victims of their leaders. Shame.

This is partly Israel's fault. While Olmert and LIvni send signals to the world about another Arab state, side by side with Israel (oh puleeeeeze), and placate Bush and Condi, Hamas is building up it's capabilities. Unless Israel acts and soon, that attack WILL OCCUR., maybe an apt house or commercial building, or shopping mall, etc. Probably taking out Ashkelon, or Sderot, or even parts of Tel Aviv (Grad rockets) is envisioned. Israel's reaction will be to set up another commission. The solution: a massive pre-emptive attack, or retaliate against Hamas in Syria. Let the chips fall where they may. If Iran steps in, bomb them back to the stone age, or the age of the Hittites, or whatever.

Before you take a gun; better think... What is ratio of your deaths against your opponent party’s deaths (Including those perished in your cowardly attacks)? So; chances are more that fine young people like you will be turned in to “dead”. Why you waste yourself? Why you want to be turned in to dead? What is your personal gain? Why would a major attack enhance Hamas's international standing? Something is wrong with the reasoning here! Hamas says, 'em, Europe doesn't want to recognize us so let's carry out a major terror attack that will cause s lot of casualties and that should convince them!". Hamas are frustrated but not stupid. Olmert made his decision not to defend Israel. The people of Israel back him. It isn't as if the Israelis don't understand Arab thinking, motivation, or behavior, and unfortunately, the reverse is also true. You lost the war in Lebanon intentionally and declared it a victory, you allow the qassams to be an irritation rather than a threat, you permit massive smuggling from Egypt into Gaza, and because of that, a lot of people have been sentenced to needless death. And yes, mass bombing to level Gaza will work to protect Israel and Israeli lives. There are historic precedents: Hiroshima, Dresden, Tokyo, Berlin, and the world became a better and safer place because of those terrible events. The Arabs were given the world, $20 million worth of hot houses, more aid per capita than ANYONE else in the world. People all over the world in FAR worse conditions dont try to massacre Jews. I agree with 13. Situation in Gaza is awfull. What are the options of hamas? Israel does not give them tax money. European union does not help them,either.They got completely isolated .They are desperate. Let us see how this does end. Keeping people at huger limit is the best way for Hamas to maitain them dependent on islamic welfare and boosting their power. Gaza is sitting on a huge natural gas reserve, however Hamas will not start selling it as this income could loosen their grip on the population.
