at a praticular time. May be you should take heart and hope that it will turn out all right in the end... Some things need Time. And Patience. ... A cold head. It takes strength to wait and do the right things at the right moment. If this government doesn't cut it, the next one will.
2. don't worry he is brave idf soldier ! lol

It's absolutely disgusting that Olmert released prisoners to "strengthen" Abbas, WHILE HIS OWN SOLDIER AND COUNTRYMAN ROTS IN A HAMMAS PRISON!!!!!!!

an all time high. These kids are looking at what happened to Shalit and the boys in the North, and they're thinking, why should I be forced to sacrifice my life and freedoms when the very government I'm sacrificing for, won't even save me if I need saving.
5. This is ridiculous
freejay ,   Israel   (08.28.07)
Go look at a map and see how small Gazza is...........you telling me Olmert cant send in troops to get him back at any cost? Olmert could also easily threaten that the Hamass leaders will be exterminated if Shallit isnt returned. This government is a disgrace and whether Gilad is alive or not, unfortunately we wont get him back before this stupid government changes! Keep a brave face Mr Shallit and i hope we get him back alive.
6. #1 I wonder if you will say the same if you are in Gilad

position !
7. Gilad Shalit
mr ,   israel   (08.28.07)
From what I understood, Gilad is being held by the "Dugush Family" and not Hamas. Who are these people and what are their demands ? Mr. Olmert please don't wait too long to set this matter right as we did in another similar case many years ago with Ron (my memory is gone and I forgot his last name !)

own son... ... ... What I do mean is, that if I was the family of a kidnapped soldier, I would not be the best disposed person to rationally take care of the situation. Do you understand what I mean??? Sometimes cold logic is more efficient than hot blooded hathred. THATS what I meant. The family has my most sincere well wishes and I DO hope like everybody else for his very soon and very speedy release!!! I'm sorry if that was not clear!
9. we should also remember Palestinians Prisoners .
Sajjad ,   Pakistan   (08.29.07)
Every one in Israel feel the suffering of detained soldiers but they have forgotten the pain of thousands Palestinians in Israeli jails including women, children and elderly people kidnapped by IDF. Being good human beings we should also remember the kidnapped Palestinians and protest against illegal occupation and ill behavior of IDF. I know these lines will add pain to Parents of the detained soldier’s but this is reality and when you all in Israel will realize that illegal occupation will not let anyone in peace.
10. It's easy to be Objective
liza ,   Israel   (08.29.07)
Nice of you to quote all that but you know full well that if it was your situation you would not be dealing in the mind-set of patience and strength etc... No-one can judge and no-one can even comment without having been in the shoes of those who are walking through such a nightmare. With all due respect, I know your comments would not help me. They just add more fuel to the fire. Put yourself in his parents shoes for just a minute. Imagine you in their position and remember how much time has gone by and all the broken promises made along the way. Please realize it's about them and not about proverbs and unhelpfull words.
