this is a awful and distorted article based not on fact as for example: A judicial review body recommended that the sentence be commuted. It was then sent on to the justice minister who approved the recommendation and passed it on to the president. Peres accepted the outcome. normal proceedure... Unlike Yigal Amir's case there is a case to be made for reasonable doubt --perhaps not enough to find for innocence but perhaps enough (as official bodies recommended) for shortening the sentence. The convicted never waivered in their claim of innocence, had no nationalist history according to the shin bet and there exists confusing and unexplainable facts including lab results. The pain of the victims family is real and one should have great sympathy -- but the disposition of the case speaks more to the admirable integrity of a legal system trying to get things right in an imperfect world rather than politics.

Israel acted here with grave moral and legal strictness..as you see the evidence and witnesses were reviewed time and time again....interesting to think what your own government would have done if the case was reversed...(Jews killing an Arab)---check your own home before you call others dirty!
