61. Danny Rubinstein has to disclose who is financing him.
I. Barr ,   Detroit, USA   (09.02.07)
It would be important for Israel government to know who is financing the anti Israel activity. If an organization is a "non profit" and pay no taxes than the state has the right to investigate their books. If they are not tax exempt organization than their books need to be investigated too to prevent tax evasion. Betselem is largely financed by organizations that are not local and frequently have a non sympathetic Israeli agenda. Radical Israeli academics are paid by the university and Israel and do their subversive anti Israel activity with Israeli government money. They travel, lecture, promote boycotts of Israel out of their job as teachers or journalists. Haaretz finances have to be transparent as well as the finances of Danny Rubinstein.

Have you be in Judea Samaria ? have you been checking palestinians , fearing all the time to be murdered ? I was'nt there , but i heard stories of people who were , and not rightists . How shall they react when unther such a life treath the whole day ? For me , what you call a wall , is a necessary fence , very costly but life saving . This fence can be taken away without problems when the time will come . A murdered person can't made alive again ? Regarding the not so nice way police sometimes acts towards Israeli Arabs . I have seen police behaviour towards immigrants from north african countries and from Turkey in Europe . Let me tell you that our police is very nice compared to their European colleagues . I understand that the Israeli Arabs can become irritated , at least , by always being seen as potential terrorists who have to be checked . But there is nothing else that can be done . But they are certainly much better off as all their muslim brethren in the whole world . Do you think that we like to be checked at every entrance of a super , bank post and so on ? It's also necessary
63. mr. rubinstein is not mentioned in this report
saul a. readner   (09.02.07)
after having read the un-report to which there is given a link for the reader, i was not able to find any of the statements by mr. rubinstein which mr. lappin has mentioned. mr. rubinstein is not even listed in this report. as long as i don't get other proofs, this whole story appears to me to be just another fight of one newspaper against another.
64. Dialouge
Jonathan Spengler ,   L.A., USA   (09.02.07)
I would like to commend Mr Morris Freedman on his comment regarding Danny Rubinstein. This is great example of the kind of diversity that has comprised the dialogue of Isreali political life. Freedman, who obviosly is a jew, maintains an unbiased and seemingly objective stance upon the current issue at hand, not taking one unanalyzed position over another. Rather, delivering a healthy dose of criticism towards an Isreal, that from his comments does seem to support, that is not beyond reproach. Any fruitful or useful dialogue must contain within it ALL viable and relevant perspectives that should be discussed and considered equally. Not just the opinions and notions that are popularly represented or buoyed by some political pressure group. This kind of lively debate is what the past Isreali political life was recognized for, not the current trend of censorship and silencing opposing views.
65. the idiots at Haaretz think that they are being reasonable
WWACD ,   Haifa, Israel   (09.02.07)
"Reasonable" is a problem when your enemy is out to kill you and it's about bloody time that those Goddamn traitors at Haaretz catch wise. For a group of self-proclaimed intelligencia they sure are playing fast and loose with their statements. What they don't realize is that Europe is never letting a bunch of primitive friggin Israelis into their country club even if they denounce the rest of us to high heavens. Peace Through Victory
66. Dany Rubinstein
Lou ,   Israel   (09.02.07)
How long did Dany Rubinstein live in South Africa during the Apartheid Era. Has he visited South Africa lately, does he know anything about the history of South Africa. Has he met any South Africans, has he ever spoken to South Africans. Does he know anything about the South African Jewish community. And another thing - WHY DOES HE STILL LIVE IN ISRAEL!! He should go and live with his Arab neighbours, I wonder how they will welcome him.
67. Why don't people critical of the Chinese for
Mike   (09.02.07)
keeping the Mongols out with the Great Wall of China?
68. There is a large number of Israelis like this Rubistein
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (09.02.07)
that need psiquiatric treatment. Too much troubles turned them into mentaly sicks. Something like that ilness, which I do not recall the name, when a person get s very scared by those threatening their lives that they turn in the side of those people. It is trully a social sickness that should be fully aknowledged and treated.
69. #67 You are absolutely right
Stacie ,   Canada   (09.02.07)
Why is it that Israelis are mute on North Korean people kept in a state reminiscent of Shoah Jews? Why is Israel mute on China's human rights abuses? Could it possibly be that Israel itself has been acting out similar policies? You people have been blaming the World's inaction for decades, well the World is starting to focus on you now.
70. The people in the WZO should be fired
elianna ,   USA   (09.04.07)
What stupidity could allow the people who chose this man a forum for his hate and suicidal tendencies against the Jewish State?
71. danny rubinstein
leah goldberg ,   jerusalem israel   (09.06.07)
silencing danny rubinstein's opinion is proof that he may be right!
