Did you even read the article? This isn't about lost tribes. This is about a group of people loyally serving the Mossad and not being aptly recognized for it.

5. Shameful Treatment
NYC Girl   (09.03.07)
These people deserve better for their service to the Mossad. In fact, it's reminiscent of the treatment that was given members of the SLA. Maybe it's time for Israel to start treating its friends better...and its enemies more harshly.
6. Jonathan Polar is still in jail. Dose Mossad really cares?
e.m ,   s.f   (09.04.07)
They will use you until they need you and this thing happens only in Israel
7. Recognize Mosad operatives
Shoshana Ben-Dor ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.04.07)
As a person with long time involvement with the Ethiopian Jewish community, I am well aware of the courage and self-sacrifice of Ethiopian Jews who worked along side Mosad operatives in Sudan. To the extent that these individuals can be proven to have been among the active Comite members who served in this way, they deserve recognition and compensation. Two corrections that I can offer. First, I suggest being more careful about names; several are not transliterated properly. Second, aliyah by way of Sudan was an on-going process that began in 1979 and continued until late into the 80's. Operation Moses was the highlight, but most people who arrived in Ethiopia in the early 80's were brought to Israel before it.

Not only in Israel. But then israel should be special, different, better. They do their best not to be. SAD.
9. ethiopian mossad agents
ester ,   jerusalem israel   (09.04.07)
the article is all too true. my father-in-law was also among those who risked their lives to save the jewish community- and what today? nothing, a life in poverty, unrecognized and unthanked

13. thanks for your help fellas.....now act like an agent, shhhh
jack bauer ,   AU   (09.05.07)
The mossad should not have to do anything in this situation. These fellows helped out surely, and they should be thanked for that.....but agents are supposed to be "secret" they get paid by the mission, not 30 years after it happened. They said they recieved no training, but risked their lives. By all means lets treat the freinds of Israel better in future. Nobody becoming an intel operative should be fooled into thinking you will be acknowledged as such....even way down the track
14. equal treatment
JG   (09.06.07)
If other agents are recognized, these agents should also be recognized.
15. Why does almost every government in the world fail to rec
Adam ,   USA   (09.12.07)
recognize some of the spies and people and agents of their respective spy agencies fail to acknowledge, recognize, or compensate fairly these people for the risk that they took along with the bravery, and courage that they showed. The U.S. has done this as well but, Israel should not be doing this to these people who were instrumental in accomplishing this mission and evacuating 20,000 Ethiopian Jews! This is ridiculous, compensate them and acknowledge their achievements and accomplishments for crying out loud!
16. Shame to the Falashas
Billilegn, the Ethio ,   Proud Ethiopian   (09.16.07)
The so called Ethiopian Jews are still being treated as slaves, they are at the bottom of the Isreali society as they were at the bottom in Ethiopia. The shame began when some Yemeni Jewish crossed to Abyssinia years ago and owned some Ethiopian slaves who forced them to forget their Ethiopian religions and converted them to Judiasm. The sad story is they are being treated the same way, their blood is even considred by Odum as an impure blood, they are also asked to change their African names. Israel brought them to do the dirty jobs the Israelis or the Arabs did not want to touch and be the cannon fodder of the Arabs. What a shame! Billie
