1. Enough hot air...do something!!!!

2. Israel pulled out of Gaza so as not to be responsible for it
redmiike ,   tel aviv   (09.04.07)
Let's stop pussy footing around! Israel very painfully pulled out of Gaza so as not to be responsible for it! Every time there's a kassam stop the electricity for 4 hours. Let Hamas take Israel to the Hague. No country in the world is going to help Israel so she needs to take action alone and now. Or advance 6 kilometers into Gaza - but why risk lives when pulling a leaver will stop the problem in a couple of days!
3. Pondering over
citizen ,   israel   (09.04.07)
all that above mentioned situation, I would love to know what would have happened had, let say, Tel-Aviv or Jerusalem instead of silly Sderot? And what would happen, had our rulers been living in Sderot? And what would have happened, had Israel been weaker then Gaza?
4. Why can't you shoot down these rockets?
Bill ,   France   (09.04.07)
I understand (but perhaps I am wrong) that these rockets' engine is already off when the rocket lands on Israeli soil. So its speed may be rather slow, no? Why can't IDF install radar-guided artillery all around Sderod, to shoot down the approaching missiles, as the Patriots did (sometimes partially) against Scud rockets during the 1st Gulf war? Your "Color Red" system can detect the approaching rockets, but when will you design a system which would stop them, instead of only warning the population?
5. Olmert says"duhhh, what do i do?'"
freejay ,   Israel   (09.04.07)
This is no solution...........so what if they stop the missiles for a few days....they will start again . Olmert, Barak must be replaced with someone that can handle these situations and not just umm and arr. Enough of this ridiculous corrupt government!
6. Does Palestinians know about Barak's nonsens ?!
Eddie Shor ,   Ariel lsrael   (09.04.07)
7. Barak,We do not have permission to defeat Hamas
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.04.07)
When are you people going to get it. Barak Omert will onl;y do very limited incursions into Gaza when they need to for ther Cameras. Israel has been sols out and betrayed by the real power broker wqhile his puppets do his biding in carving up Israel. The final solution is well under way by the ruse of peace. And the dumb sheep of Israel bought into this scheme. Barak and Olmert work for emperor Bush and he will not allow them to defend expendable Jewish citizens .This would endanger his betrayal of israel to the Islamists, his Road Map to Israel's extermination. You're so niave and blind to not yet see this.
8. why not pullout of Sderot too?
edmundo ,   London UK   (09.04.07)
Isnt that a logical extension of Olmert + barak - the dynamic duo since the Sderot community is also impeding justice for the palestiians. If sderot were not occupying land which is in direct range of the Gaza rockets, then such a situaiton would be avoided, and there would be peace. Another pullout Mr Olmert!
9. #4....
(09.04.07)
These Ketushas are not rockets, they are artilery shells. It would just be as difficult in stopping a grenade in the air. By the way, if you were getting punched in the face all day would you 1, call the police to have them arrested 2. Hit them back or 3. put on a protective mask? Your suggestion for us in Israel is very much on the lines of #3
10. Useless morons leading Israel to the abyss.
Al   (09.04.07)
Oh I'm sorry to offend anyone, but lets call it as it is. Israel is in deep shit either way you cut it. There is no leadership period. How much bull shit are the Jews in Israel going to put up with? Get rid of these moronic leadrs or I am afraid Israel will be destroyed.

12. Trying to understand/ Just fixed the speeling using Word. lo
Simon Mohammed ,   falls Church, VA USA   (09.04.07)
Knowing or knowing that it is not going to hurt people rather then create panic in the sedrot area. And also Knowing that it is bringing to them jet/missile attack, been cut of the rest of the word, people struggling to survive and all of this. I am trying to understand this phenomenal and sincerely having hard time to understand. if it is an addiction that need some time to be treated, why you guys not agree with them and ask them to fire those baby rocket somewhere ( a mutually agreed area with no population where even the sound can not be heard , until a global arrangement is made between all the parties in the conflict in a peaceful way with mutual respect and right and also until the addiction of firing baby rocket is treated nicely. the same for jet/missile attack. I have to agree that the jet/missile did stop for a while but not the baby rocket and therefore i am not against you. Thank you and good luck
13. BLA,BLA,BLAH !!!!!
AVROHOM BILGREI ,   ZION   (09.04.07)
ELECTION TIME IS HERE !
14. Sderot is too close to the Gaza.
Richard ,   New York, USA   (09.04.07)
The city should have never been built there in the first place. Let the government leaders live in Sderot, and let the people of Sderot live in te homes of their leaders.
15. Hamas is playing with fire and
(09.04.07)
whoever does, gets burnt. Any time there is a "RED COLOUR" warning sound going off in Sderot, it should automatically and instantly switch off electricity from flowing into Gaza, for the entire day, that is. The moment this happens, the terrorists will probably get the hint and, if not, the ever swelling angry mobs in the streets of Gaza will surely "remind" them. This is much cheaper in terms of saving military effort and hazards encountered during supposed military actions. But if push comes to shove, the IDF knows very well how to isolate the northern part of Gaza and in the process, "encourage" all potential terrorists to migrate southwards - for an indefinite period of time. And, if this, too, doesn't work, we as a sovereign state have all the right in the world (not to mention duty) to stop this cancer called Hamas.
16. #4 - they are very small ...
redmiike ,   tel aviv   (09.04.07)
and travel only a very short distance which are the problems. People are working on this world wide and Israel may have a solution in 2 years. Are you going to use a missile that costs a million dollars to shoot down one that costs $20? The Gazans are already tired of Hamas and if Israel starts to cut off electricity for 4 hours every time a kassam is fired they will stop in 48 hours. The argument that somebody might die in hospital etc is spurious! A ground invasion would cost a lot more lives and Israel gave up Gaza so that it would not be responsible for it -- Mike
17. Some kids will vote for Olmert not having to do homeworks!
lazy student ,   Introuble country   (09.04.07)
18. I have the solution for Sderot, send in the left wing
freedom ,   canada   (09.04.07)
clowns of the government.. and park them on a football pitch near a school and let em wait.. Then you might get some action.. DO unto others as you would want them to do to you. Im sure it wouldnt get that far with the left wingers in government they would either abstain or perhaps say they are conscientious objectors. Vote these people out and defend your country OH ISRAEL.
19. Does barak need 48 hrs. to pull everyone out of Sderot?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (09.04.07)
How about every time a kassam falls on Sderot we cut the electricity for 24 hours in the knesset and fine each m.k. 10,000 shekels? That ought to stir those lazy, cowardly thugs into coming up with plans to stop the kassams. Or just bombarding them day and night with artillery.
20. #14 - just move Gaza 6 kilometers further away !
redmiike ,   tel aviv   (09.04.07)
this could be done tomorrow and the simpler kassams couldn't reach Sderot. Longer range ones would be a different scenario altogether. The people of Gaza are close to revolt and they should now be encouraged (blackouts etc) to overthrow their government! - Mike
21. Olmert!!!
Natan ,   USA   (09.05.07)
Another empty threat from Olmert!!! Remember 2 days ago: ..."the Palestinians will pay..." Olmert is well known for making promises he can't or unwilling to keep and follow thru with. Someone should remind Olmert that "if you don't have money in the bank, don't write a check!!!"
22. Stop those primitive rockets or retake GAZA by brutal force
Obama ,   Washington DC   (09.05.07)
