31. 60th???
Veal   (09.05.07)
To me it looks like a symbol for the 100th anniversary!
32. 60th Logo
Count Dracular ,   Los Angeles USA   (09.06.07)
Have I missed a point? Why is the 60 expressed in Arabic numerals instead of Hebrew figures? The text is Hebrew, shouldn't all of the Logo be in the same format? Do any other readers wonder about this?
33. 29: Sure are a lot of people who think they are the king of

Israel.
34. as it is 60th
hania ,   jerusalem   (09.06.07)
it must be yesterday and today ,, as it is a child looking or pointing to a symbol it apears as if the 60 and israel as a kite .. a kite is not a good symbol for the future nor for the stability . it is in hand of the wind more than in the hand of the child .. it is fantasy to children .not serouse for a state ..... may iam wrong /but this is my impresion
35. I agree with Cohen!
James ,   Jerusalem Israel   (09.06.07)
I fail to see what's so funny or silly about Cohen's comment. The symbols committe, like other representative groups such as Israel coins and stamps, continue to be controlled by sectarian elitists who represent Israel in their own stylized way that is indeed alien to many of Israel's citizens.
36. Forget the kid, the symbol is amateurish
Nava ,   Beit Shemesh, Israel   (09.06.07)
The number and the word Israel look all squashed together. "Israel" is separated in a totally unaesthetic manner, the Magen David does not blend in and looks as if it was put there as an afterthought, and the picture of the boy is completely unnecessary and contradicts the idea of a symbol, which is supposed to be simple and easy to replicate, i.e. no photos. Take the symbol for the 40th anniversary of Jerusalem unification, for example. Original, simple, easy to draw and as far as I can tell, not divisive.
37. No. 14 David
NYC Girl   (09.06.07)
I think he was probably using the word "frumpy" to indicate the child looked unkempt since it's not likely that somebody from Shas would object to the child looking "frum."
38. why always boys? It should have been a girl.
NOA ,   Beer sheva, IL   (09.06.07)
or maybe a boy and a girl running. On the other hand, this might be a girl in trousers. I hope so, better than subsummise girls under boys (Yeladim).
39. Anniversary symbol for 60th Israel
Bonnie ,   ft. laud. usa   (01.21.08)
I love it and want to know where I can purchase it on a plaque or something else. Thanks
40. no meaning
matisyahu p ,   boca raton   (04.01.08)
The main objection to the logo is that is has no meaning....at all. I, personally, don't feel proud when I look at this.
