M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (09.06.07)
Entitled, enschmeitelt! Turn off their frigging water and lights and tell them to tell their troubles to Allah, Jesus or Hamas.
2. Was he not the idiot who pushed the expulsion?
Al   (09.06.07)
Get lost moron...you have brought death and destruction to the Jews of Sederot and your KIPUTZIM. Now you want to be heard.... Get lost!
3. #1 My sentiments exactly!!!
jan ,   usa   (09.06.07)
4. Israel wants peace ??
Sajjad ,   Karachi Pakistan   (09.06.07)
If Israel wants peace, they should consider their opposite sides as equals and them like humans and not as if they themselves are God’s chosen people while others are hated by God. When you think like that there will never be peace but resistance against your ill-thinking. All humans are created by God so there is no difference between anyone; it is only character of a person which makes you a better or a worse human being.
5. Collective Punishment?
Chaim Belisowski ,   Canada   (09.06.07)
Gazans voted collectively for Hamas who is dedicated to the destruction of Israel. Therefore they all deserve to be punished. However, stopping the provision of resources to your enemy is not punishment. It is normal practice during time of war. Can you even imagine the Allies providing fuel to the Germans in WWII? By doing this, Israel is making itself a laughing stock in the eyes of all Arabs. They think Israelis are morons and therefore can be defeated.
6. Wait a second
Salameh ,   Gaza, Palestine   (09.06.07)
International law? what international law? the one you never ever abided by? the one that is calling your actions war acts? the one that calls your occupation illegal? the one that calls for the wall to be removed immediately to your deaf ears? now you care for international law? your admittance to the UN was conditioned on implementing 191 resolution to let refugees back, and then international law was not applicable because you deem yourself above all laws God's and Man's. Sooner or later you will pay for all these crimes
7. #1: Yes we call on Allah, Jesus and Mohammed
Salameh ,   Gaza, Palestine   (09.06.07)
To help us ride of you and your ugly occupation, it's a pity that you support the ONLY state on earth that is created based on religion while mentioning the name of the Lord in vain !!!
8. Ethnic cleansing of Jews
Dr. Ron Breiman ,   Tel Aviv   (09.06.07)
Ethnic cleansing of Jews - this is what is left of the brutal transfer initiated and performed by the Sharon-Weisglass regime in the summer of 2005.
9. #6- They 'pay' by having to live next to nutjobs like you
Cameron ,   USA   (09.06.07)
My God, as if 'international law' ever had any real meaning for Arab society. Always just something for the 'other' to abide by, right, Salameh?
10. of course they're legal
Gazan ,   Gaza, Palestine   (09.06.07)
... go ahead cut the air and water This guy is a typical sociopath
11. The author is advocating a perpetual cycle of violence , dea
Brooke   (09.06.07)
This is what you are suggesting. All the education in the world has not helped you or the advisors. You are blinded by law and refuse to see the realities on the ground AND you refuse to listen to the arabs. Nobody wants peace with Israel---just all the pieces of Israel. So spew your legal rhetoric--it will never measure up to moral defense of the rightful and divinely sanctioned lands belonging only to the Jews. Annex Gaza and the West bank. Pay the psude palis to leave. See the great plan at www.jerusalemsummit.org. G-d bless Israel and may this New Year bring her courage and finally peace after vanquishing her enemies and ridding herself of treasonous Jew hating Jews! Amen!
12. #6, I am guessing you've never read the resolution
Danny   (09.06.07)
http://www.mfa.gov.il/MFA/Foreign%20Relations/Israels%20Foreign%20Relations%20since%201947/1947-1974/Admission%20of%20Israel%20to%20the%20United%20Nations-%20General Care to point where Israel is required to implement 194 - which by the way ALL the arab governments voted against, because it required a recognition of Israel and a requirement for the "refugees" to live in peace in Israel. The wall hasn't been asked to be removed, rather relocated. Wierdly enough they don't have a problem with Hizbollah insisting that the wall on the northern border cannot be in the international boundary. It is almost like one rule for ISraelis and one for everyone else. Finally, the IDF happily refers to the state between Israel and the Palestinians as war or armed conflict. It is the PALESTINIANS who are claiming there is no armed conflict or war. We keep trying to completely disengage from Gaza but apparently you don't want to cut the cord.... So lets stop supplying you with food, aid, medicine, electricity, water and you can be nice and independent....
13. #7, yeh Israel is the "only state based on religion"
Danny   (09.06.07)
The Islamic republic of Iran and Islamic Republic of Pakistan aren't based on religion at all and Saudia Arabia just welcomes Jews and Christians.
14. Question For Sajjad & Salameh
Jason, PH.D. ,   USA   (09.06.07)
Exactly who are your people aiming at when you shoot Kassams into Israel from the territority in the Gaza Strip that Israel returned to you? While I would like to hear your answer, I strongly suspect that God almighty would also like to hear it! God does not take kindly to someone purposefully distorting the truth, no matter what that truth may be. Assuming you have the integrity to answer this, I have a really good idea. How about stop shooting these rockets? Then the border can be reopend, and goods can flow into and out of the area. Do you honestly think Israel would keep targeting you if you stopped shooting the Kassams? Also, I would like to ask you good Muslims as to where in the Koran it is justified to deliberately target civilians?
15. #1
Jason, Ph.D.   (09.06.07)
Always good to hear from you,, Mr. Hartley! I agree with you that Israel has no moral responsibility to supply the Gaza Strip with electricity. However, I do not think Israel should shut off the water. Water is something that the civilians in Gaza need to survive.
16. To #4
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (09.06.07)
Oh, so all human beings are created equal? Would you explain that to the Muslims who consider everybody else as infidels who have to be subjugated, enslaved or killed? Let's see, how do some of Islam's most respected sheiks refer to Jews? Is it "apes?" Mohammed stole the Jews' religion, made a total, complete, utter mess of it and then his faithful servants call them apes. That's not very nice, at all. What happened to that "created equal?" Actually, a Muslim's looking into the mirror and seeing his own reflection does not make apes of Jews, does it?
17. #7
(09.06.07)
the 'ONLY STATE BASED ON RELIGION", you say? what do you call saudi arabia, kuwait, jordan, iran, etc.... are they not based on religion???? of course they are. they have no separation of politics and religion. everything they are is muslim, their laws, sharias, etc... in israel we have many many religions which are RESPECTED. druze and arabs, christians and jews. they can pray, they can practice their culture and ways of life, their religion, etc...freely and without the opression you see in other muslim countries. we let everyone come in that wants to come in, unlike all the arab countries that are solely muslim and would never allow a non muslim there, like saudi arabia.
18. Another plan to sort out Hamas & end the Israeli occupation:
Uzi ,   Haifa   (09.06.07)
Israel should let Hamas to depose Abbas and smash Fatah in Judea and Samaria, or even help Hamas to do so, in order to make it easier to abolish the PA and wipe it off the world map and consciousness. It will also open the way for the Kingdom of Jordan to take charge as the only viable nation state of all the Arabs of Greater Palestine. Having got rid of the PA, Israel and Jordan should agree on the border between them in Judea and Samaria and maybe cede Gaza to Egypt that would sort it out quite smartly. Everybody, Jews and Arabs, should continue to live in peace where they are and nobody should move from their homes or land. Israelis who would thus become residents of the Kingdom of Jordan should be given rights and conditions like the Arabs in Israel.
19. who cares about intl laws ?
elchonon ,   chevron   (09.07.07)
Can we have someone with balls stand up and say the reality ? #4 in pakistan i dont give a damn about peace.. I care ONLY about our citizens.. I care about my fellow countrymen.. And if the arabs in gaza choose to attack us we will attack back.. Peace will come when they come sniveling like dogs begging us for mercy!! we will humilate and crush them! we will show them to fear g-d of the jews!
20. I DARE YOU to deny "BASED ON RELIGION" CLAIM
Salameh ,   Gaza, Palestine   (09.07.07)
Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran Kokolan..etc never grant a HUMAN any HUMAN a citizenship simply because he is an adherer of Islam or any other faith. Israel DOES grant ALL jews citizenship while Palestinian Arabs who owned land for generations are even denied entry to their homes let alone citizenship, so SPARE ME. Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Tunis is NOT a homeland for ARSBS or MUSLIMS, but rather a homeland for JORDANIANs, SAUDIs, and Tunisians while your state is declared to be the homeland for all jews those who are ethiopians and those that are Russians !!!!! You guys lose in this debate so give it up.
21. #20
(09.07.07)
relax buddy. too much hot air and lies, just like your previus post. WE ARE JEWS WE BELONG IN OUR HOMELAND WE ARE HERE TO STAY PROSPER AND MULTIPLY WE ARE HAPPY WHERE WE ARE WE CAN PROTECT OURSELVES WE CAN DEFEND OUR COUNTRY WE HAVE TONS OF NOBLE PRIZES. GREAT EDUCATION, GREAT MEDICINE, INVENTIONS AND TECHNOLOGY UP TO PAR WITH THE USA WE'RE THE MOST AND BEST DEVELOPED DEMOCRACY IN THE MIDDLE EAST WHILE YOU ARABS STILL LIVE IN THE 12TH CENTURY
22. #20, I'll take that "dare"
Danny   (09.07.07)
Israel doesn't "grant all Jews citzenship", what a Jew has is a short-circuited entrance to Israel. You clearly haven't met many ethiopians or Russians or reform Jews if you think this is automatic. Saudis? Jordanians? Pakistan? What you mean peoples from countries that didn't exist less than 100 years ago. How did these people become "Saudis", "Jordanians" or "Pakistanis"? Plenty of Palestinians were allowed to come into Israel, the reason YOU aren't allowed to is because you'll try and blow yourself up. If you you want to whine about being denied citzenship of a country you once upon a time may have lived in then whine to the Hong Kong Chinese or maybe whine to my family who were expelled from Iraq because we were Jewish - you know from Iraq that has no religion, that is a homeland for all Iraqis etc, etc.
23. #21 the Unknown: Easy on the CAPs
Salameh ,   Gaza, Palestine   (09.07.07)
Screaming doesn't make your argument valid. If you believe Yvgenys and Flashas have rights here more than the native Palestinians then, you need to have a reality check. We were here when Abraham came and left, and when Romans came and left, when the persians came and left and when the crusaders came and left and when you came and we will still be here when you leave, so go drink your milk and pull your sheets, and start packing soon
24. #20
Robert Tilden   (09.07.07)
SO what is your point? You want to be Jewish? Being Jewish is a religion AND an ethnicity. This is a plain fact. There are Jews who were famously non believers, this is common for example: Karl Marx. According to your logic Israel would not have accepted him because he didn't belong to the Jewish faith. Does this concept go though your little brain? Israel's law of return allows for people who according to Jewish law are NOT Jewish at all, many thousands of such people are in Israel now, because the state desided who was ethnicly Jewish in a different way than the religion does. Any country has the right to deside who becomes a citizen of their country and how. Dutch do not allow any dual citizenships, most countries allow this. Germans allow anyone who can show German herritage withine the last few generation. Palestinians seem to accept anyone who lived in Palestine before 48. Do I care? No I dont. Why do you care about Israel's internal rules?
25. To Sajjad #4. MALE Doctors Are Not Allowed.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (09.07.07)
You write :"" All humans are created (equally) by God ...". WHEN you speak of humans I assume you include women also. Women in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir are not getting medical help. Of the pregnant women 12% dies due to complications during pregnancy. MALE doctors are not allowed to touch women. Pakistan being a medieval patriarchal society don't allow women to work. So, when armed local men sees female nurses walking on the road from home to the clinique to go to work -- they, i.e. the armed local men, rapes them. Because of fear of being raped they, i.e. female nurses, don't go to work. As a result -- pregnant women don't get medical help. Pakistan is the MOST fanatic Islamic country in the Muslim world -- where the men are lord and master of the women, whom they treat as SLAVES. Sajjad, you should give your UTMOST for changing the Pakistani society, for losening the TIGHT grip of the Wahabbis on the Pakistani society. UNLESS you that -- what is the value of your preaching about God ??
26. To Salameh #7. Allah Will NOT Listen To You.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (09.07.07)
You write :"the only state that is created based on religion ". You forgot Pakistan. Pakistan was created in 1947 as a country only for Muslims. You forgot Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia became an independant Muslim country in 1926. And by conquering the neighboring states -- it achieved in 1932 what we presently see as Saudi Arabia. Salameh, how come you missed those two countries ? Is it that you have too many HOLES in your brain due to your hatred of the Jews ??? BTW Allah will NOT listen to you. WHY not ? Because you don't accept His existence.
27. Turn on loudspeakers, call them to prayer every 5 mins, 24/7
Scott ,   USA   (09.07.07)
28. #23, natives huh?
Danny   (09.07.07)
Between 1860s and 1885 the population of what is now Israel doubled. Between 1885 and 1922 the population grew by less than 40% and then it doubled again between 1922 and 1948 - I am excluding Jews from the population figures. So a significant portion of "Palestinians" are new immigrants. One only has to look at two of the more internationally famous "Palestinians" - Yassir Arafat, born in Egypt, and Edward Said, even though his family was Egyptian a few months in Jerusalem was enough to make him "Palestinian". PS Yvgeny and Flashas have no rights "here" - ie Gaza - since 2005 when we pulled out.
29. to Salameh who uses CAPS
Vitaliy ,   Brooklyn, USA   (09.07.07)
We do not lose this debate. Judaism, unlike Islam or Christianity, has an ethnic component to it. You don't just join a religion that traces its roots to Abraham, you join his genetic descendants. There aren't and haven't been that many converts to Judaism throughout the centuries. If you look at the genetic studies, that is one of the reasons Arabs and Jews are genetically closer than Jews and Europeans (for example). Even if you do convert to Judaism, within a couple of generations your children will also be a part of the Jewish people "genetically." As a result, all of those you call "Ethiopians" and "Russians" are just as Jewish genetically as any other Jew. And from what I can tell, even European countries allow for repatriation of people who are ethnically descended from the nation's citizens. So, you are the one who loses that argument.
30. that's hilarious
Vitaliy ,   Brooklyn, USA   (09.07.07)
the one who abuses CAPS is the one screaming for restraint on their use. I thought I saw it all. Ha ha ha. As for your assertion that you have been there all along, don't make me laugh. I can see Palestinian propaganda works well. The main thing is to convince yourself. Convincing others becomes so much easier.
