2. Somehow not surprising....
Ilan ,   Ariel   (09.08.07)
B. Michael a participant and witness at two historic meetings. A Hamas cabinent and Wanasee
3. What is it?
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (09.08.07)
That "would" in the headline implies a spoof. Is it only that or is it something a little more real thrown out as a spoof to put across a message? If the IDF can ride around Gaza in donkey carts and snatch high-ranking Hamas guys from his own field, how hard can it be to get one's hands on the minutes of some asshat meeting?
4. Oh, isn't the brain dead B. Michael clever.
sk ,   USA   (09.08.07)
5. Ah #1 The title says "This is what a hamas session WOULD
sound like-WOULD.   (09.08.07)
6. no parallel
Phil ,   Washington DC, USA   (09.08.07)
The author should stop trying to draw parallels between the Israeli Govt and Hamas. Their actions are not even close to similar! The Israeli Govt has no intention of hurting civilians, Hamas members and other actual terrorists surround themselves with innocents and non-combatants, so that if and when they are dispatched to hell, there is collateral damage and Israel looks bad. It's win-win for them because when Israel succeeds in taking him out, they look bad because a bystanded gets hurt or killed. Shutting down power and water will be least invasive and have the most effect in trying to bring down hamas.
7. HARD TIMES IN PALESTINE
steve ,   london, england   (09.08.07)
This is a message to the Palestinian Authority. Think of the word 'simply'. What does this word imply? Swords into ploughshares Spears into pruning hooks Stop practicing armed struggle against the State of Israel. Go visit the capitals of the Arab nations and implore them to seek embassies in the State of Israel in order to create a peaceful region in which the peace process between Palestinians and Israelis can get truly underway. Don't blame Israel for your hard times. Blame terrorism. Get your brothers and sisters, your cousins, your aunts and uncles, your mothers' mothers and your fathers' fathers to preach non violence to each other. Tell the militants of whatever discipline in Iraq that their enthusiasm for violence is bad news for Palestinians who are hoping to live in peace with Israel. Israel is fearful of regional insecurities and that is a legitimate reason for Israel to delay the peace process. Simply put ........... tell anyone who is not a policeman who carries a gun in Palestine they are threatening their chances to show Israel that armed struggle is simply a waste of human effort. Then pray for hundreds of millions of people around the world who have suffered the consequences of violence in the Middle East. Wise man say 'peace and violence not compatible'. Salaam Shalom.
8. This reminds me of that show "Yes Minister"
freejay ,   Israel   (09.08.07)
9. : - ) Nice eavesdropping! BUT THIS IS NOT WHAT WE WOULD DO!
Helene ,   Israel   (09.08.07)
We would, infact, in the next election, make Olmert forget he was ever in politics and vote Netanjahu in his place! Nothing Hamas could do would make us pressure ANY government of ours to make concessions.
10. was the?
Yisraeli   (09.08.07)
was the Minister for Victimhood and Suffering also at the cabinet meeting? Also leaked from the cabinet session was the the Minister for Suicide Bombings who gave his apologies for not attending as he was busy chairing the meeting for Human Rights at the UN. It was decided that the former Minister for Procurement of Boys for Arafat will now be executed as his post is no longer necessary and he belongs to Fatah anyway. Though PM Haniyah personally awarded him the Medal of Virgins for his service of rendering Arafat our beloved Rais with Aids.
11. B. Michael is a terrorist sympathizer

12. Osama Bin Laden isnt a terrorist either
zionist forever   (09.08.07)
He is just another Saudi millionare who decided it would be fun to go live in a cave where there is no running water or electricity so he thought he would have some fun by killing Americans.l
13. #6 You are very funny.
Khalid ,   Gaza City   (09.09.07)
"Their actions are not even close to similar! The Israeli Govt has no intention of hurting civilians" Ahh it's strange to live in a world where those who have no intention of hurting civilians harm hundreds of thousands more civilians than those that are aiming to hurt them.
14. The writer is an idiot
Alex ,   Ariel   (09.09.07)
15. this tape recording

Jane   (09.09.07)
Hundreds of thousands? Ah, the Arab gift for overstating and lying is alive and well in Gaza City. By the way, Khalid, how many rocket launchers are hidden in your living room so that you can cry boo-hoo if we take it out and one of your famous "innocents" is killed?
18. #15
Jane   (09.09.07)
The leaders of the world don't care, the media is in back of the terrorist scum. There is no point. We're on our own.
19. To Michael. Put Together Very Cleverly.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (09.09.07)
A very lighty article with lots of laughter. Yes, from time to time we NEED this kind of articles to lighten things up -- in this all to SERIOUS world. Thank you Michael, it is put together in an very clever way.
20. #13 Khalid
Kate Manover ,   Netanya   (09.09.07)
Dear Khalid, What hundreds of thousands? Why aren't the Pals using all those monies that the European Union and Japan gave you and build up your own society? You are wasting precious resources and time on plots to destroy Israel. It isn't going to happen, best to get on with your lives and the lives of your people. Prove to the world that you honestly care about the welfare of your people and not just your overblown silly pride.
21. Of course we are not terrorists
joe   (09.09.07)
We are only KILLERS, following the koran & allah's teachings. Our children belong to the gods, our women belong to the gods. PS For a starving citizen , he does look good, nice and plump picture.
22. Send it, first class, to...
enzo ,   london,uk   (09.09.07)
... the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People!
23. #15 and #18 ...
(09.09.07)
the author is talking about the israeli cabinet and government. i applaud your courage and conscience dear b. michael!
24. Jane not worth replying to, this is for #20 Kate.
Khalid ,   Gaza City   (09.09.07)
"Dear Khalid, What hundreds of thousands?" It's actually millions. You think civilians don't die from malnutrition in Gaza? You think poverty doesn't kill? Shortage of hospital supplies because of no electricity isn't murder? You think all the people on hospital beds are Hamas terrorists? Don't be so naive. You think all the children that can't find clean water to drink or shoes to wear are Islamic Jihad or Hamas? These are civilians. "Why aren't the Pals using all those monies that the European Union and Japan gave you and build up your own society?" Well, that's our fault. Fatah (who received ALL this money) stole it and decided to send their sons to France and to buy fancy cars and villas rather than build institutions. BUT now that Hamas is here we're not getting the money that you speak of and that you demand we "build up our own society" with. The borders are closed. No imports. No exports. So how can we "prove to the world that we honestly care about" our people, as you put it. What are we to do? Recognize Israel? That didn't work too well for the PLO in the 90's did it? It's not about "silly pride", it's about having our hands tied while our children die almost daily. And I mean actually die, not 'almost die' by rockets that land in empty deserts 99% of the time.
25. #24, care to back that claim up with some facts
Danny   (09.09.07)
How many civilians died from malnutrition? Give some names for the last week. Strangely every single Hamas person I have seen seems pretty well fed. Hanyieh could even do with a diet. Erm, you are still getting electricity so if people are dying on the hospital beds then it is you incompetent doctors. Still would be interested in some stats for number of patients unable to get operations and maybe have a comparison against other Middle East countries. Why would "no electricity" = "shortage of hospital supplies". Iran has sent TENS OF MILLIONS to Hamas, where is that money going? Care to quote some figures? Or would you rather fabricate claims.
26. There can never be any separate Arab political entity
Uzi ,   Haifa   (09.10.07)
west of the Jordan. From time immemorial the Western Palestine Arabs have consistently demonstrated that they are utterly incapable of unaided survival, especially at the national polity level. They constantly kill and steal from each other and forever lie to themselves, each other and the rest of the world. They never miss an opportunity to make atrocious choices and mistakes and they are totally incapable of sustaining and providing for themselves; they depend on others for everything. How on earth will they ever make it?
27. The truth lies inbetween Kate & Khalid
John ,   WestBank   (09.10.07)
Respect for both of you.
28. #25, Khalid I guess that is a no then
Danny   (09.10.07)
29. He's right they're not terrorists
Steve from Raleigh   (09.10.07)
That requires you being human first. But they are vermin to be destroyed with their friends, families and colleagues every last one of them in Hamas.
