1. How can we be sure of the Arabs Intentions
eynay ,   stormvill ny USA   (09.07.07)
" We need to be sure of Israel’s intentions. The settlements continue to expand. We have hopes for the Bush initiative and the Arab initiative, but we won’t give a gift without first getting something in return,” Moussa said. When have Arabs ever kept thier word ? NEVER http://www.faithfreedom.org/
2. I thought Moslems don't get drunk
Sam ,   Canada   (09.07.07)
Amr Moussa must be drunk if he thinks Israel will withdraw then negotiate. It doesn't look like Arab leaders have their feet on the ground. Their expectations are in the clouds. What have they ever accomplished to believe everyone will capitulate to them?
3. Arabs & Their DEMANDS
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (09.08.07)
Isn't it peachy that the Arabs are ALWAYS demanding things from the Jews, but the Jews are never reciprocating with demands of their own? They whine, they plead, and they cajole, but they DON'T demand. For if they did the Arabs wouldn't DARE demand Jews destroy their own communities for the 'price' of Arab 'acceptance' at the 'process'.
4. Defeated Israel's Term's of Surrender
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.07.07)
That is nothing more or less than what Moussa and the Arab League see as their ultimatium to Israel. Will Israel once again bend to the demands of her enemies and be squeezed tighter into their new Ghetto ? The arabs never have to deliver anything in this arrangement. Israel goes along ALWAYS no longer having any red lines. Sharon,Olmert erased them all. The rules of the sacam are all against Israel' Eventually a squeezed Israel will have no more left to squeeze and tghen the Arab's will cut the throst of their peace partner. The peace of the grave partner as Yasser used to say.
5. Negociating the Arab way
Frank ,   Canada   (09.08.07)
Make concessions and then we will negociate more war.
6. ISRAELIS!!! WHERE'S YOUR PRIDE!!!
Jake T ,   Alaska   (09.08.07)
An arrogant and erratic foreign power has taken over your government, while the Arab League - that represents countries that have a lot to answer for - is dictating terms to the ancient Jewish civilization that has set the values by which we measure our humanity today. Wake up Israelis! Take back your country! Stop the betrayal within and the aggression against your people. Show us your pride and dignity, Israelis. Defend your land!
7. Arabs and their demands again
Peace is Hell, man ,   usa   (09.07.07)
"...but we won’t give a gift without first getting something in return,” The unimaginable chutzpah of this statement! Why? Why can't you give something first for a change? Why does the other side always have to give you something first? There is NO moral high ground that the Arabs are ever willing to take; no matter how high the price of peace, they always want what they want when they want it and that's their bottom line. There will never be peace until the Arabs stop assuming that they have a right to receive only and never give first.
8. Alternate headline
Headlines ,   usa   (09.07.07)
Jews asked to evacuate their settlements so Arabs can have a state within their TERRORtories
9. Arabs idea of peace
Detente, not peace ,   usa   (09.07.07)
They call it Hudna. It means: you give us all of our demands and then we MAY temporarily stop trying to annihilate you. However, we reserve the right to rescind the offer at any time because our religion permits us to lie to infidels. In other words, It's just plain old extortion.
10. Arab League demands unconditional surrender
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (09.08.07)
Make you wonder what they would demand if they didn't LOSE THE FREAKING WAR which they started.
11. What gift is Amr Moussa talking about?
Mark ,   Georgia, USA   (09.07.07)
“We need to be sure of Israel’s intentions" "we won’t give a gift without first getting something in return,” Moussa said." Is the gift just coming to the table with Israel? If so , the answer should be, sorry no thanks. As usual they want something for nothing. Who needs to be sure of Israel's intention? Israel wants peace, and they have proven it, with Egypt and Jordan. The Palestinians have never honored any agreement with Israel, ever!! Israel released over 200 convicts what have they gotten in return, nothing. Now this joker comes up with preconditions he knows cannot be met. It is the old Arab con ask for something that can't be done and blame Israel for not doing it. Then blame Israel for the failure of the peace process. Sorry chump nobody is buying it. Well except the old blame Israel crowd. Did you know that Israel supporters in the U.S. is moving up while sympathy for the Pals is going down. The same is true in Europe. We see though your bullsh-t. Submitted for your approval...or not Mark from Georgia
12. Who are you to tell us what to do?
freejay ,   Israel   (09.08.07)
Peres is appluading giving Israel away to our enemies behind our backs.......That makes me sick1 As President, it is not his job to say anything and should only be doing ceremonial duties. Why is he allowed to do all these negotiations behind our backs? Because Olmert lets him! Both these traitors will be gone soon.
13. the Simon P. and Ehud O. will sell us out
(09.08.07)
no wonder everybody is looking for a German or Polish passport so sad
14. CAN"T NEGOTIATE
DAN ,   USA   (09.08.07)
The only negotiations the Arabs know is for Israel to continue to make concessions while they m,ake none and insist on more. ISRAEL WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE ARAB COUNTRIES UNTIL SHE DEFEATS THEM IN BATTLE AND THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN WITH THE CURRENT ISRAELI GOVERNMENT IN POWER.
15. Moussa: Jewish Refugees from Arab countries
Semsem ,   New York , USA   (09.08.07)
Moussa: let's talk about the 1 million Jews the Arab countries turned into refugees, including the 80,000 that were kicked out of Egypt.
16. Moussa insulted Jewish Religion
Laila ,   Mpntreal, Canada   (09.08.07)
In an interview he had the impertinence to say that the Temple was not situated on the Temple Mount. How does he know? Another liar who distorts Jewish history.
17. Silence on Darfur, Lebanon and Saddam Hussein
Fortunee ,   Boston, UK   (09.08.07)
This Egyptian and the Arab League are a joke. He never uttered one word in regards to the Saddam Hussein regime, the genocide in Darfur or what Syria is doing in Lebanon. The reason clearly because Moslems are allowed to kill.
18. Will the talks include Jewish Refugees from Arab countries?
Nannette ,   London   (09.08.07)
There were more Jewish refugees forced out of from Arab countries than there were Arab refugees from Israel, who, in any case, were forced by the Arab leaders, to leave Israel, because they were going to annihilate the new country!
19. Israelis are allowing the US to handle their policies
Howard K ,   NYC   (09.08.07)
and determine its borders, its very future. Israelis are allowing every third-rate country and organization to dictate terms to their sovereign country. Let's stop blaming everybody else. That's what Arabs do. Israelis should take matters into their own hands - begining with demanding new elections and electoral reform. If you made enough noise the Israeli politicians and the world would realize that YOU CARE about your land. Your silence, your inaction is showing the world that they can not only dictate terms to you, but that they can actually feel entitled to do that.
20. palestinians must stop terror to prove THEIR intentions
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (09.08.07)
otherwise, israel won't be giving gifts without getting something in return. we'll see if the palestinians are serious about peace. not.
21. I dont hear the word PEACE mentioned anywhefre
(09.08.07)
Jerusalem, refugees, borders, security arangements, and of course complete normalistaion with Israel. Normaliation with Israel seems to be abit of an afterthought here and he doesnt say what a normailation with Israel means. Does that mean that they will cut the rocket attacks down in number or are they serious about peace? If they are serious about peace then they need to get their own house in order before we can be having peace talks because unless Hamas agree to these conditions maybe we will have peace with Fatah but normol terrorism from Hamas and if Israel wants an end to that then there will be a seciond and even heivier price to pay later and whats given to Fatah is just a down payment.
