not everything should be for media and public consumption. at times, especially in israel because of its strategic location and surrounding enemy countries....silence is bliss and very needed. never give your enemy an information upper hand. it may work against you in the long run because loose lips sink ships!
2. SILENCE !!!

Sir Winston Churchill noted in WWII that Silence conceals much and is an awesome mental challenge for the enemy to deal with. It is a preferred form of psychological warfare. If ever there was an enemy that was mentally challanged.....

that not only the Syrian goverment is clueless as to what really happened but so is the Israeli. Look at the map.

i have to really laugh at your post. i agree. syria knows nothing of what happened. they were caught with their undies down. however, sir, don't underestimate israseli intelligence. israel knows precicely what has occures. it just chooses not to divulge. that is all. read post #2. it'll help you comprehend.

Greetings It is very refreshing NOT to hear anything about the subject. It's overdue for us to keep our big mouths shut.

This is rich. The government won't answer your questions so you become doom-sayers and armchair generals with nonsensical peanut gallery comments when the answer to what happened was patently obvious. An IDF warplane blew across the syrian coast and engaged (read: jammed with the flip of a switch) one of the vaunted "unjammable" Russian anti-aircraft systems the Syrians and Iranians have been rattling like sabers. And they did it right on the Iranian border. It puts a damper on Syrian/Iranian claims that they could stop the US and Israeli air forces cold with. The raid proved the "most sophisticated anti-aircraft system in the world" could be easily defeated by our aircraft and that we have a viable air highway straight into Iran if we want it. Its an effective and intelligent move: it tells Syria that they don't have a trump card to our air-force in the event they open up a front on the Golan, and the Iranians that we can not only reach them, but that they aren't as absolutely secure as they think they are. Everyone knows what was established - and without our having to avow it. Well, everyone except the big thinkers in the media. Patently obvious.
