Hey...Don't worry about this incident. Perhaps Olmert and his Jew hating government are just miffed that the Iranians are supplying the weapons instead of Israel.

A leak revealing the pre-agreement between Olmert and Abbas tells us what we already knew: "The Palestinian Authority-based Maan News Agency claims to have received a Hebrew document from an Israeli source outlining eight points agreed upon by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s government: 1. Israel withdraws and destroys Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria in stages. 2. An “unarmed Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. Israel will keep some settlement blocs (with territorial exchanges). 3. Divided Jerusalem - two capitals. 4. Israeli relinquishes sovereignty to a committee to oversee Old City and holy sites. 5. “Palestine to be declared a national homeland for the Palestinian people. 6. “A just solution to be agreed on for the problem of the Palestinian refugees. 7. “Both sides must declare an end to the conflict and fight terrorism on both sides.” 8. “Both sides to consider this agreement as being in accordance with the principles of the peace initiative proposed by the Arab League.” http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/Flash.aspx/133157 Expulsions will start after November. Shas has threatened to withdraw from the coalition. Let's hope they do and that they're followed by many others. Regarding Syria, it's unlikely they will attack Israel at this moment when things are going so well for the Palestinians. Israelis should be wary of distractions that will take their attention away from the Bush-Olmert plan to deprive them of their land and security. The focus for Israelis should be on the enemies who are destroying the country from within.
13. Attack.
Rick ,   Bmore, USA   (09.11.07)
Certainly explains why the Syriam FM was so miffed. Sounds like Israel hit an arms depot or an underground facility. If the later was hit this might mean that Israel now has the bunker buster bombs that the US wanted to give Israel earlier. Ground forces might indicate that the US provided transport with the new Osprey aircraft that are on the USS Kearsarge. But what do I know?
14. Unattributed, unconfirmed, short on credence
Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (09.11.07)
Sounds like CNN is just passing on Syrian propaganda. Seriously, does CNN's anti-Israeli Amanpour have any credibility left after her despicable "Holy Warriors" trilogy? Until the facts are out, this is just speculation.
15. But did they hit anything?
Scott ,   USA   (09.11.07)

17. I wouldn't get too giddy

CNN's first reports are usually not very accurate. Give them a few more days to get it right.
18. This truly sounds like some more of Amanpours syrian fed
crap. I seriously ,   have doubts on this.   (09.11.07)
19. #12: Very Suspicious Timing
emanon ,   USA   (09.11.07)
I did follow the link and there and there is an alleged follow up story. Nonetheless, I find the timing, so close to the High Holidays, very suspicious. Remember, the goal of terrorism is to sow seeds of terror. The alleged source of the leak is from the Whineastinian's news agency. While the Israeli government certainly has pulled some incredible mistakes in the name of peace, this goes beyond anything I could conceive of to give the terrorists all the advantages without Israel getting anything is return. An unarmed terrorist state is an oxymoron. Can you picture Hamas giving up their arms? Even if they were out of ammo they'd use them as clubs against any Jews they see. No. If this release ls really true, we need to start sitting Shiva for Israel.
20. 16, that's what I said. That we already knew
Canadian Otter   (09.11.07)
But the Olmert-Bush plan is still of top importance for Israelis, so my point is we should not be distracted by other issues.

The woman is a joke, just see her God's warriors. But waht to expect from an Iranian? How more biased CNN can get? Someone I trust told my the Time Warner is 60% owned by an Arab oil princeling .... what a world!
24. #3 - coz they're too embarrassed. Caught with their pants
Fred Flintstone ,   Bedrock   (09.11.07)
down. Too many questions which would force them to admit (what is now evident to all) the illeagle transfer of weapons to Hizb'alah, (& Iraq, etc.)

30. Babacan, you really are a genius!!!
DL ,   San Francisco, CA   (09.11.07)
"All countries in the region must show respect to all countries' sovereignty and carefully avoid acts that lead to tensions" Hmmm, try telling this to Iran (who is not only developing WMDs to nuke Israel, but is also futzing with Iraq), Lebanon (who refuses to disarm Hezbollah), Egypt (who is funneling Qassams to Gaza), and many, many others! Come to think of it, respecting each others' sovereignty and avoiding acts that lead to tensions is the only groundwork for peace in the region, but unfortunately nobody on the Arab/Iranian side of the wall seems to "get it". Furthermore, finally letting the Arab refugees integrate into Jordanian, Syrian, Lebanese, and Egyptian societies would be a step in the right direction, seeing as the discrimination and hate these refugees face in these countries (which, ironically enough, are the countries these "Palestinians" originally came from before they arrived en masse to boost the fledgling Jewish economy) is the huge festering sore plaguing the Middle East right now. Oh, and while we're at it, Babacan... just admit to the Armenian Genocide already!!! In the court of world opinion, you've already been put on trial and convicted (and don't expect there to be an appeals process, either!). Besides, Ararat and Lake Van really don't have that much to offer in terms of natural resources, a skilled labor pool or tourism- you're probably spending more money administrating the region than it's pulling in tax-wise. Just give it back to the Armenians, already! Geez!
