If this Olmert-Bush plan is not enough to start an uprising in Israel, I don't know what else could. But judging by the general mood, it won't happen. Shas and Yisrael Beiteinu and others may still form an alternative government to oppose this plan. At least, that's what they are threatening to do (Haaretz). What I fear is that they may reach a compromise with Olmert: to keep access to the Temple but still give up the territories. It's baffling how the US cornered Israel to the point where it's giving up everything in exchange for nothing. Perhaps it's because not many citizens seem to mind.

response to you.... the iaf jammed those oh so wonderful russian anti aircraft batteries through superior israeli fighter jet technology and elctronics. the fly over was a reconnaisance mission to find out what this stuff is made of and if it can deliver. this system was bought by both syria and iran from russia during an august arms sale to protect against israeli iaf air infiltration. much to our best hopes, the systems were successfully jamed by iaf and we got the answer to our question. the anti aircraft batteries are useless in protecting iran/syria sky. this was really the mission objectives. the syrians couldn't deliver the response into the air because their batteries were not functioning. mission accomlished! we got in, tested the system and left with the answer. so, do not be so smug. and do not ever underestimate israeli intelligence and military/airforce capabilities. remember, syria is not a bunch of hezbullah thug terrorists using human shields. they have a recognized army which is a different ball game for iaf and df.....much to syrian and iranian hopes. if it comes to israeli survival or them or us, i can guarantee you that once you leave your fortified shelter and bunkers together with your mates, there will be nothing to see for miles. we almost did it once and won't hesitate to do so again. if it comes to you or us, we choose us. capish?

Iran is sending weapons to Syria, not for fun. They are sending them to be used against Israel. Maybe not now, but just in case they need them. Where does Syria get off saying Israel doesn't want peace while it is stockpiling weapons. The Syrians are a bunch of cowards who don't pick a war with Israel directly, instead they chose to select a fat man called Hassan Nassralla and his motely crew to do their dirty work for them.
