israel entered syrian airspace for a reason. this is the reason! you can choose to believe whatever you want. there's no use of attempting to convince people like you who formulate opinions based on reading materials such as indymedia, the guardian newspaper, michael moore, robert fisk, noam chomsky bullsh*t.

I seriously don't know who the hell Peter Morris is. Nevertheless, you are right, I did not express myself correctly in my talkback to the other article. I apologise for my inaccurateness. Please keep in mind that English is not my native language......

I guess we all make mistakes.
36. 7:Ariel, London: It is the Prophet Jeremiah in
Rivkah   (09.16.07)
chapter 17 of the Authorized King James Version Bible that says Damascus will be a heap of rubble. Who (nation) or what (earthquake) causes that is anyone's guess. Damascus will be wiped off the map, but the fate of the entire nation of Syria (ancient Assyria) I do not know. Sometimes in the Bible the principle city is used for the entire nation and sometimes for a specific place (city) only. Destruction is coming to Damascus, but so was destruction coming to ancient Ninevah in Assyria UNTIL THE PEOPLE REPENTED of what was offensive to God. That did not prevent the destruction of Ninevah, but it delayed the judgment for forty years. That is what Mr. Assad and the Syrians should hope for if they repent: a delay in judgment that is from God.
37. #36: Rivkah, It was not Jeremiah!
Ariel ,   London   (09.16.07)
First, my comment in #7 was directed against those who were going to accuse Israel and the US of seeking a pretext to attack Syria. Second, I believe the text you refer to is in Isaiah not Jeremiah.
38. #37 Ariel: You are so right! Isaiah ch.17verse 1 is correct
