1. GO HOME RICE!
jacqueline ,   USA   (09.18.07)
Another visit to give up more concessions to the PA. No good will come of this visit, as all others. Mind your own business Rice. Dont use Israel for Bush Legacy. Let Bush get his legacy from finding the murderers of 911. Oh, I forgot, he is in bed with the Saudis. Leave Israel alone.
2. RICE WENT TO BURY ISRAEL. SHE GAVE A GOLD SHOVEL TO OLMERT

3. Marching Orders
Jeffrey ,   Boston, USA   (09.18.07)
Rice will give Olmert his marching orders and like the lap dog that he is he will sell Israel down the river.
4. The Cabal Of Rice, Bush, Peres, Olmert, Livni. Very Dangerou
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (09.18.07)
My only 'hope' for this summit is for the main players to get strokes before anything nefarious happens. Rice is an Arabist through and through, (her being a Methodist doesn't help either, they have this penchant for 'replacement theology')and Bush is so tied up with the Saudis he doesn't know where he begins and they end. I say this as a Republican and a zionist. The fact that Israel's leadership are post zionist and craven leaves our homeland in DIRE straits. The signs are looking very desperate for Israel's survival.

David ,   richmond va usa   (09.18.07)
The people of America has had more than enough of your interference in Isreal. Just tell the Saudi no sale. We can buy a bike but we cant undo the destruction GOD will deliver on us If this deal is done.
6. The Reciprocity Factor
new_york-loner ,   Rochester, NY   (09.18.07)
According to the Voice of America, -"The Palestinian side wants a framework agreement on the core issues of the dispute including refugees and Jerusalem, while Mr. Olmert says he will commit only to a non-binding statement of intent." A "non-bimding statement of intent?" It's been nearly sixty years since the State of Israel was created, and all hell broke loose in the Holyland, and this is the best that the Israelis can offer? How long must those displaced by Zionism live in wretched camps awaiting "final status" agreements? The Arabs must agree to Irael's right to exist, as a prerequisite for "non-binding statements of intent" - but there is no reciprocal prerequisite which demands that Israel agree to recognize the Palestinian's right to exist. It's a sucker's deal, and even Condi Rice won't be able to sell it to the hard-pressed Pals.
7. More Secret Deals??
ralphsrant1 ,   USA   (09.18.07)
More Secret Deals More Lies Olmert just said he was not going to keep anything from his goverment and now look more back sliding more lies. http://ralphsrant1.blogspot.com/
8. U.S., a grave threat to Israel
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.18.07)
By peace he shall destroy many . What Israel's enemies could not accomplish in five wars, this U.S. president is accomplishing with his secretary Rice. Israel will be required to surrender her arms and legs and heart for lies and promises of war and destruction in return and no peace anywhere. This is evil. May the Holy One of Israel stand up and end this false peace which is destroying Israel for this presidents evil nightmare Palestinian state. Pslam 83;1-5
9. Politics & Surrealism.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (09.18.07)
The failed Sec. of State of a failed US President conducting a failed war in a failed state has come to speak to a failed PM who conducted a failed war in Lebanon & a failed terrorist leader of a failed Fatah movement about a failed peace process, the result of the failed Oslo Agreements about implementing the creation of another failed state. Salvador Dali would love this. Or is it more like the Theater of the Absurd?
10. Brilliant American Diplomacy
Michael ,   Haifa   (09.18.07)
"What she wants to do is to try and get the parties together and to start working on ways in which they might come together in a concrete fashion to try to push forward understandings about how a two-state solution might emerge"...WHAT A BRILLIANT STATEMENT OF DIPLOMACY !!!!!
11. a reality check of Dr. Rice sucess
chaim ,   miami beach usa   (09.18.07)
After long and serious examination of the issues and cultures that divide Israel and Islamic Arabs, the chances of Dr. Rice successfully bridging the gap between the two ideological different parties are about the same as her interceding between the Northern States and the Southern States prior to the Civil War, it will never happen. I will mention only one reason of my reasoning from the many thousands of fundamentally unbridgeable elements that exists between the Jewish Western ideology and the Moslem Ideology is their respective history. Both Jews and Moslems were downtrodden by the European Countries, but the Jews lived amongst the majority of Christian population without the ability of self government, and the Moslems had their own respective countries, yes the Moslems were colonized by the Christian West, but still were able to retain a semblance of self rule, whereas the Jews had only dreams of self rule, and once obtained are loath to be dictated to and be subjugated to by any foreign power. The animosity and proclaimed goal of the Islamic Countries to destroy and abolish the Jewish State by and through any ruse or method is unbridgeable. Moslems and Jews both live according to their respective historical events, the Moslem hope to achieve their 6th, to the 12th century greatness is one of the primary forces that drive them, the Jewish history on the other hand is one of enslavement to the vagrancies of the Church or Mosque dictates, the collective memory of such horrors piled upon horror cannot be forgotten.
12. Rice stay home.
Avraham ,   Netivot   (09.18.07)
Your meddling in our affairs is not welcomed. We are not interested in your anti Israel agenda. All you want is boost Bush's ratings in the arab world.
13. I was Wrong
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.18.07)
i gave the poodle Olmert ten days to begin implementing orders from his masters in Washington. I was wrong ,he has already begun. And it only gets worse from here. You don't see the danger you're in with false friends like this ? exerpt; We will start by removing 10 to 20 roadblocks in the periphery, gradually and prudently," the source said. The Central Command is due to present Defense Minister Ehud Barak with a paper Tuesday on removing roadblocks in the West Bank. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert instructed Barak and the defense establishment to prepare a plan of traffic alleviations among the Palestinian cities and villages in the West Bank. Olmert is still waiting for the defense establishment's suggestions, after promising the United States and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas that he would facilitate traffic in the West Bank. The Shin Bet and IDF object to removing roadblocks, citing their importance in preventing terror attacks. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/904784.html
14. Condi represents the Saudis & will present THEIR plan!
Nannette ,   London   (09.18.07)
She's only interested in adulation from OPEC and, after having an oil tanker in her name when she worked as PA to James Baker for the Carlyle Group, she still has very close contacts and friends in the Arab states. She WILL NEVER do anything in Israel's interests!
15. Bush, Rice, Olmert and the Three (Gaza) State Solution?
David Turner ,   Richmond, US   (09.18.07)
Who’s kidding who? From day one of his presidency Bush decided that he would not spend political capital on the thankless and insoluble Palestine Problem. And when he did intervene, when he forced Abbas and Olmert to accept democratic elections in the Territories against their better judgment, Bush wound up promoting Hamas and, eventually, the secession of Gaza from the West Bank. Good show, Mr. Bush. Almost as good as invading Iraq and removing the one obstacle to Iran as a Middle East Superpower. Through ignorance and amateurism Bush paved the way for Iran to challenge the US in Iraq; he paved the way for Hamas to challenge Israel in Gaza. And now, as if there were an likelihood, no possibility of achieving rapprochement between Israel and Palestine Bush/Rice are pinning their hopes on a breakthrough in Palestine to give them a graceful exit from their presidency, their only diplomatic success. Unfortunately nobody but the Americans, and very few of them, actually believes that a PA weak before the Gaza secession and only weaker now, has the ability to talk Final Status with Israel. Hell, Abbas can’t even talk peace with Haniyeh. The Saudis know a charade when they see it. Not even Egypt and Jordan, both strongly beholding to the US, are willing to attend yet another blind alley round of talks on an issue more complex with each passing day. Even Abbas is talking about not attending! We may witness a peace conference at which the only participant is Condi Rice!
