31. He , jewish [ ? ] canadian
charles ,   petach tikva   (09.20.07)
What you propose Israel to do ? you only say negative things . Give a SERIOUS solution . But this is probably asking much too much from you canadian non Jew .
32. a reward for support for terrorist-enemies of Israel
dante ,   uk   (09.20.07)
the "palestinians" jubilantly support terrorism, elect a mortal enemy of Israel and then...Israelis work against Israel to save the "palestinians" from the consequences of their support for terrorism. can there be a greater demonstration of sanctimonious stupidity? I doubt it.
33. Set an example
Just War ,   USA   (09.20.07)
Muslims fear death and demons. Dealing decisively with Gaza may incur the ire of the liberal/humanists, but will strike fear/respect in the hearts of the 55million Arabs who have forgotten God's sovereign intervention against them in 1948 and 1967. When Israel justifies her actions based upon Whose they are rather than the eternally hostile world and liberal opinion, she will do the right thing in His eyes. This is a just war, against a relentless enemy obsessed with bedeviling a gracious neighbor who has gone the extra mile for peace. Israel's options are convert them, contain them or eliminate them. The first two options have failed. Israel has the choice of national suicide or eliminating this tenacious enemy! The liberal Jews should return to Scarsdale or Massachusettes or move back to Europe and allow those who wish to defend a Jewish homeland to get about the necessary business. Since 1967, Israel has sought peace. The Temple Mount was offered immediately to please Arabs. Withdrawl from Lebanon, giving away Gaza and now negotiating for Judea, Samaria and even Jerusalem is surrendering what God has entrusted us with. Like Esau surrendering his birthright or Ancient Israel seeking a king (Saul) against God's will, He is displeased, but for His name's sake will sovereignly redeem Israel!!
34. Khalid , Gaza
charles ,   P. Tikva Israel   (09.20.07)
What did you build there in Gaza during the 20th century ? Do you know that Jews build everything needed for a state in pre 1948 Palestine ? You had the same opportunities , why did'nt you do anything ? when was your first university build ? don't you know ? When Israel "occupied" Judea Samaria . Did you install a sort of governement [ exept this arab council by this husseini ]? did you build some social care institutions ? No , your only goal was to destroy . Well now you have the results from this .
35. They're not sanctions. Israel isn't obligated to help Gaza!
RA   (09.20.07)
36. Psalm 122:6
(09.20.07)
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:they shall prosper that love thee" Know, Israel that you are raised up in prayer and supported by He who established the heavens and the earth! His promises to you are UNCONDITIONAL, these include land and blessing. "West Bank" refers to the West Bank of the Euphrates, freed of anti-Jewish peoples! Potsdam was a just settlement of land AND peace. It was attained by resettling ethnic Germans back in the loser nation! If only this just pattern had been followed in 1948, 1967 and 1973, both Jews and Arabs would possibly be at peace living in their separate land. Islam & Arab nationalism stem from the same tribal, shame based mentality. It denies the reality of their defeat, against all odds by Israel by divine providence. Genesis 12:3 God curses those who curse Israel. He is preparing a sovereign move, despite the Road Map, Saudi Initiative, Rice, Abbas, etc. Just watch and see!!!
37. Let them move to gaza.
Avraham ,   Netivot   (09.20.07)
38. Let them take holidays
Raphael ,   Netanya   (09.20.07)
During the Lebanon campaign, the population of northern Israel was subject to a commective punishment. So Gaydamak, instead of using them as propaganda material like Halper, gae them shelter in holiday camps. Why doesn't Halper sponsor holyday camps in Sinaï?
39. Starving gaza
Ben A harris ,   Kingsport TN USA   (09.20.07)
Starving Gaza ia humane way to eliminate the Hamas control. One alternative would be setting up a battery of 155mm guns and firing once every 5 minutes but that might kill more thn necessary. The pain of thirst and starvation might knock some sense into the scoundrels.
40. #26, "Jewish" Canadian
Mahlon Drumgoole ,   Newark NJ   (09.20.07)
Has socialized medicine caused some kind of brain spasm or are you just ignorant? Obviously you are ignorant of the facts or refuse to acknowledge reality? First of all, Israel has not initiated a cutting off of electricity to Gaza. They are considering it as an alternative to a large invasion of Gaza because something must be done to stop the rocket fire at Sderot. Your ridiculous and hateful assertion that somehow conditions in Gaza are worse than to be bombarded with rockets and the lies about Jews not caring about non-Jewish lives are so vile that you are either a non-Jewish antisemite or a self-hating Jewish antisemite. All Hamas has to do in order to get foreign aid restored is to stop advocating Israel's destruction. Who voted these monsters in? Who destroyed the greenhouses that were bought for them by Jews? Idiot.
41. Where's The Past Money Gone?!?!
Christy ,   Boston, US   (09.21.07)
For years and years, the UN, US, EU, and others have given very generously to help the 'Palestinians'. Where has it gone? Don't they have any money stashed away someplace to buy supplies for their people if Israel cuts things off? With all the money they've been given, they should have been able to purchase fuel & generators for each person to last quite some time. I'd be willing to bet the new 'Palestinian' leaders (both sides) have lined their pockets, at the expense of the ordinary people, just like Arafat & his cronies did. The 'Palestinian' people will never be free until they have leaders that care more for the people than they do for money & power.
42. Absurd: there is no legal requirement to provide ...
sk ,   USA   (09.21.07)
water or electricity in ANY extant international law. Even the leftist lunatics don't misquote any law this time around. "Targeting innocent civilians is forbidden according to international law, whether they are citizens of Sderot and the victims of Qassam attacks, or whether they are Gaza residents – they must all remain outside the circle of violence," Halper said." Ah, but denying FREE water and electricity is not "targeting" anyone; it is declining to provide welfare. NO country in Europe provides welfare to some other country's population, regardless of the "EU." Indeed, this is on reason why many don't want Turkey as part of the EU (another is that Turks are M.....s). But those who assure us, day in and day out, that they live to be shahids, are not "civilians." As they do not wear uniforms, they should be called what they are: terrorists and proto-terrorists. I wouldn't pass out candy when they are killed, as doing so is un-Jewish.
43. International concern re Gaza
Elle ,   Pacifica CA USA   (09.21.07)
Why don't we suggest to the UN that when the UN Human Rights Council is willing to concern itself with fairness to Israel that nation will concern itself with the humanitarian crisis causes by beligerent behavior from Hamas in Gaza.
