AVROHOM BILGREI ,   ZION   (09.24.07)
SUPERIORITY ? I THINKEST NOT ! THE CAPACITY TO INFLUENCE WORLD OPINION THAT VIEWS ISRAEL AS / OR CAVES IN TO THE VIEW OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL AS "THE ZIONIST ENTITY"(THE INFERENCE BEING IT IS UNWORTHY OF BEING REFERED BY NAME) , BY THEIR TACIT APROVAL ; MANIFESTED IN THE DEAFENING "SILENCE WHEN ISRAEL IS CHARACTERIZED AS SUCH,IS INDICATIVE OF ISRAEL'S ABYSMAL CAPACITY AT P.R. !!!!!!!!! THIS "BASELESS FABRICATION" AS CHARACTERIZED BY B---L CONSTI TUTES AN ALEGATION OF COMPETANCE IN THE REHLM OF P.R. THAT WOULD RISE TO THE STATUS OF PROWESS ! YEAH RIGHT ! FOR THOSE OF US THAT ARE INFORMED AND HAVE JUST A SMALL MEASURE OF SAVY................ KNOW BETTER ! PERHAPS,SYRIA IS NOT SUCH A THREAT AS,IF THIS IS THE STUPIDITY THEY ATTEMPT TO FOIST ON US,THEN THEY MUST BE PRETTY STUPID !

Do you have proof? or are you just gonna blab like collin powel when he was lying to the world about iraq? how many more idiots does it take to invade another country on baseless claims? its funny, is this the democracy that you guys think are blessed with? one guy says something with no proof, no basis, no evidence and the rest of the sheep herd like david take it as FACT! decomcracy has certainly not made you smarter beings... Peace
10. What if
Debbie ,   Seattle   (09.24.07)
I just read the Ynet story about Condi wanting Syria at the conference table, and specifying that "attendance would have to reflect ...support for the ultimate goal of a two-state solution and comprehensive regional peace agreement." In other words, she wants Syria to support Bush's plan unconditionally. Now there's this story about the existence of nuclear material in Syria (true?), added to a rumor or two of the US wanting to attack Iran, or even Syria. What if this story about the nuclear material were part of a bigger plan aimed at threatening Syria to either support Bush's plan or else. One problem is that Bush is no longer a Dobberman but a Chihuahua. With only a year to go on his presidential term, and wounded by his failure in Iraq, his bark does not scare anyone except Israel. But that wouldn't stop him from trying to pull off this desperate trick.

14. syria has no "sovereignty"
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (09.24.07)
because syria violates the sovereignty of it's neighbors, they have the right to do the same when they feel it necessary to curb syria's adventures that negatively affect everyone the region, not the least of which is syria itself. we must ask why everyone is turning their back on syria because of their alliance with the mentally unstable regime of iran. the answer is clear and obvious to everyone but syria, which is instructive. we will continue to watch the trainwreck of the syrian government with fascination, and very little pity. i'll get the bizzer and watch.
15. Mirror
never ,   ever   (09.24.07)
For years and years Syria has been one of the Arab Nations with the loudest voice in the region when it comes to the significant question of peace between Israel and the Palestinians. When there is a conflict somewhere in the ME someone from Syria is always in the worldwide media calling for and blaming the lack of peace, the main reason for the conflict.Listen to them now-aren't they helpful - blameing Israel and the US for their own mistakes ?
16. #14 - Syria may not have a choice regarding Iran.
Robert ,   USA   (09.24.07)
Iran is too powerful a neighbor and Syria has to go along. With Saddam gone, there's no one to keep Iran in check now.
17. a liar is a liar, even if he says: it's they who say
observer   (09.24.07)
history tells. After 30 years, it has been clear that Entebbe affair was a staged operation to blow the "US coming close to talk with the Palestinians". The difference now is that Israel says it's not my business, it's they who said.
18. Syria
Simon ,   C.Town   (09.24.07)
There is no democracy in Syria. A minority is ruling a country and oppressing it's people. Since their departure form Lebanon they have lost their status quo ante. This sudden loss of influence has made them more determined than ever to restore the their status in the area. The recent political assasinations in Lebanon has Syrian finger prints all over them. We must not entertain serious doubts that Hizbollah and Syria were not behind these killings. They are trying to draw the attention away from themselves pointing the finger at Israel . It is obvious that Israel must watch Syria very carefully with some many rockets pointed at their cities.
19. 16 - syria has many choices
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (09.24.07)
it can give up the desire to control lebanon, and not provide support to needy terrorists groups (hizbullah, hamas, fatah islam, al qaeda, etc). you do not see jordan or turkey doing that, do you? they could embrace democratic values, for one (i know that is a crazy thought). or they could align with saudi, iraq, egypt, etc against the path of the iranians, which would, in turn, isolate the iranians and weaken their standing in the area. syria could join the 21st century and move forward, but it prefers to live in the past with no regard for its own citizens, for what? syria is key to a lot of things, but it uses its place and influence for all of the wrong things, which is why they are such a pariah and an object of scorn in the eyes of the world, except for the despots like north korea, iran, zimbabwe, and venezuela. it doesn't get more disgusting than that. and this is what syria chooses.
20. #7 No, it's just a way of letting us know he's telling a
little WHITE LIE!!!!   (09.24.07)
21. Syria lies today as in the past !
hiram ,   paris   (09.24.07)
Syria, an other one of these Islamic countries, allied with the Nazi butcher of iran, is nothing else but a dictatorship, as we know, and we should not wait for any confirmation from Assad the murderer, son of his murdering father, as this would decredibilise the "syrian services" which would appear totally unable to "master" any incursion by Israeli trained commandos. The reality is simply that admitting to that would mean that although Syria does a lot of talking it is not able to even safeguard its own borders when it comes to "internal security " ...like the rest of the arab countries ( it is a matter of mentality, and how much the soldiers and border guards are trained and.......paid ! so let's deny it, bluntly and flatly untill there is no other option than accepting that Syria got caught with Assad's pants down !
22. Syrian claims are all LIES.
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (09.24.07)
So now the Syrian Disinformation minister claims that Israel has not inserted a Commando unit into its territory? Well, then maybe that IAF raid didn't happen too! And accusing Israle of "interfering with Lebanese internal affairs". Well - THAT's a lie too. Israel may do some "interfering" but with Syrian internal affairs as Syria is so deep into Lebanon - murdering anti-Damascus politicians and arming and financing Hezbollah -that virtually whatever Israel allegedly does in Lebanon hurts Syria. As a matter of fact, Syria is interfering with Israeli internal affairs by hosting Hamas and other terror organizations leadership on their soil, by trying very hard to recruit Israeli Arabs as spies and terrorists and by supporting Iran's Exapansionalist dreams. So we have this to tell Syria: - Stop your Nuclear hallucinations - Stop supporting terror - Stop harrassing Israel - Hands off Lebanon And maybe then we will stop all those "non-existent" Commando and IAF actions against you.
23. # you are a retard everybody knows israel has nukes
ayman ,   jersey   (09.24.07)
so i guess the answer is israel cause they secretly produce nukes and they have destroyed nuke plants i hope i answered your stupit ??
24. #9, get your facts straight!
DR ,   FLorida, USA   (09.24.07)
The US invaded Iraq under piles and loads of inteligence reports from several countries that showed Saddam had WMD's. If you are the leader of a nation and you have Israeli, British, French, and German intleigence telling you something is foul...you act on it!!! I am no fan of his, but even Bush is not that evil as to start a war for no reason. What has the US gained from it?
25. He looks like Count Dracula, doesn't he?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (09.24.07)
Fitting for the foreign minister of a gangster regime though.
26. #9 - to Syrian: As a Syrian you know ZERO about democracy!
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (09.24.07)
I love your post: "how many more idiots does it take to invade another country on baseless claims? " Well, you should ask Saddam Hussein when it invaded Kuwait or your government when it invaded Lebanon (and Israel in the past). Then you go on and note: "its funny, is this the democracy that you guys think are blessed with? one guy says something with no proof, no basis, no evidence and the rest of the sheep herd like david take it as FACT! decomcracy has certainly not made you smarter beings... " This soundslike a PERFECT desxcription of a country blessed with a Musli-style "democracy". Look at your mosques: whetever a crazed preacher says is readily accepted by thousands of crazed imbeciles bent on suicidal dreams of world domination. Whatever your "beloved leader" or any Muslim tyrant for that matter, says over the newspaper or TV is blessed and gulped in full by clueless masses who are kept in ignorance poverty and constant hatred of anything unknown. Man, YOU are pathetic. To think that a Syrian citizen preaches us on democracy is almost comical. But in fact it is sad - it is sad because this shows how far the Syrian society is from improving itself to teh point when it can bring itself in-line with the more civilized world. Democracy has its faults when taken to extreme especialy if it is raped by Leftist, Anarchist and Islamist moonbats, but it also has self-fixing mechanisms that kick in as needed. So be it. You keep laughing about "our" democracy while we improve it and ourselves. Even the most powerful dictatorships and tyrannies (USSR and the Warsaw Pact, Nazi Germany, Saddam, etc.) failed after a few decades - yours will invariably fail too. Let's see who will laugh last: the democratic system or the Muslim-style dictatorships.
27. #17. Busy re-writing history, aren't we?
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (09.24.07)
You know nothing of Entebbe and you know nothing about the alleged Israeli operations in Syria. So let's see who the liar really is following YOUR convoluted "logic": - Syria claims that nothing was bombed. - Syria claims that there were no IDF Commando units on its soil. So if you claim that Israel "did it" then you also claim that Syria is lying. OK - I am not surprised about that! Syria has been lying to everybody since its creation so no big news here. You have a weak point "observer" and you also sound very childish (and having difficulty building a sentence). Maybe you should seek a new vocation - like becoming a terrorist. You do not really have to know how to build an argument in THAT job - you just murderr everybody.
28. #26, taling to #9 about democracy...
DR ,   Florida, USA   (09.24.07)
is like talking to a mouse about genetics....they will never get it.
29. I think....
Watchman777 ,   Usa   (09.24.07)
he needs his title changed to "Mis-information Minister," reminds me of something like "Bagdad Bob" during the days prior to the Iragi war w/ the U.S.
30. a better way to read this article
david ,   new york   (09.24.07)
try this exercise: take what the syrian "information" minister says about israel and replace the word "syria" for every occurance of the word "israel". it makes this article make a lot more sense. - good luck
