I agree with you about the leadership, it is corrupt, and has cost us a lot of opportunities for a better future, yet whatever leadership that will rise, or even the current one(s) has to deal with some serious fundamental issues, such as the refugees for example, or the internal factions. These are some serious challenges so it is not that simple. I disagree with you about Israel helping, the overall collective punishment issue of the Palestinians is THE biggest tactical and moral mistake on behalf of Israel. For the last 7 years and through the first intifada also, our lives have been absolute hell, and even obtaining the basic needs is great challenge. I don’t mean to blame here, but what I am saying is that is a sense of Justice, understanding, humanity, are concepts essential for peace, and require certain conditions to emerge. One who has not seen one day of Justice and understanding in his/her life cannot be just to other people. Wouldn’t you agree about that? It is such a complicated situation, but leaving the current status quo as is, is not a solution. It is like a wound the keeps on getting infected, causing more and more trouble. My aim here was not to pin responsibilty on your side or anything, there is enough blame to go around for everyone, my point is that a true understnding of the reality, and of the consequenses of the components of this reality is needed. no more short term thinking as is going on now, and from both sides.... As for “pallywood” as you put it, yes there are some abuses, and some lies. But there are still 4,228 dead Palestinians since 2001, and 7 times the number of injuries. Not to mention the similar numbers in the first intifada …These are not pallywood, these are real and happen every day, even though not on TV. My friend, the last couple of years have been sadly a violent learning experience for both sides. We have seen and continue to see the worse of each other. The problem is that it could get far worse still, and we don’t want to keep re-inventing the wheel. There is only one way out of this and that is a once and for all negotiated settlement. The way I see it, we can negotiate now, or a hundred years from now, nothing will change in relation to the main issues, except for the thousands that will lose their lives in between, and the hatred that just will keep on growing. You might not like who you will have to talk to, but if it gets both of us a chance for a better future, why not? Be safe,
32. Abdel, thank you for your replies-another ?

Unfortunately, I think we have reached an impasse. You see, the facts substantiate that Israel's fighting is strictly in self defense, not an offense. This is not circular..fight, I promise you. You cannot equate the vilolence & deaths as equal moral relativism because the violence was started by your side. Your terrorists deliberately strike in civilan centres, with crude weapons for maximum pain and suffering. Our army does not want to fight in your towns but that is where thy hide, amongst the women & children. I promise you Abdel, I am sure many of our talkbackers will agree with me here, if you stop--Israel will absolutely stop. I can guarantee you this. Violence is not in our nature. I was curious what you think of the plan offered by the Jerusalem Summit, found at www.jerusalemsummit.org offering $50,000 to palestinians for relocation. Please visit the site and let me know. I do wish you great success in forging a new alliance with peaceful, civilized, like-minded people as yourself to rise up and take your identity back from your corrupted evil leaders. We deserve to live in peace and prosperity. Let's see what you will do with Gaza. Prove yourselves there capable of running a peaceful, law & order community that cares for its citizens and renounces violence permanently.. Ever hear the expression you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar--crude but still applicable. You will be amazed what could happen from that. Shalom
33. Sorry, Abdel (28), but that's not good enough.

It is very Western to talk about complexity, different understandings, both sides having some good points, etc., and then trying to negotiate. However, the Dar al-Islam is not part of the West, and there is by now ample reason to believe that it cannot be handled with Western approaches. But let's back up. You do not dispute that by now a majority of the Arabs who call themselves "Palestinians" have become hopelessly indoctrinated by the "education" that began with 'fat's arrival from Tunis. You cannot pretend this away, Abdel, just because you might find it unpleasant. Nor have you denied that the Muslim sources of support for the "Pals" (Arabia and Iran) are religiously dedicated to ending Jewish self-rule, and their money is going for that purpose. What this means is that any talk of Western-style negotiation is pointless, as the "Palestinians" are not even free agents. What is not pointless, though, is a Muslim-style approach to the "Palestinians," which involves expelling them or killing them. This is what King Hussein did after Pals tried to take over the kingdom; what Kuwait did when Pals raped and pillaged and supported the Iraqis who invaded and raped and pillaged that country; and even what weak-kneed Lebanon did recently. You suggest that all three monotheistic religions have aspects that "could be used as the bases for the submission of other non-believers." Actually, "submission" is more an Islamic concept than a Christian one. Anyway, while doctrinal differences might be differences of degree, some of the most important differences in the world are of this type. Regardless of such differences, there is no doubt that, today, Islam is the only monotheistic religion that continues to spread by the sword and whose doctrine is familiar to anyone who reads the basic texts of Islam. In fact, only in Islam (in the Koran, the shura "Women") are there specific instructions on how and when to beat one's wife and when to forgive her. Only in Islam are those of other religions considered subhuman. Only in Islam is the original leader a warrior. While I am Jewish, I have read the so-called New Testament. There is no war strategy there. That is one reason why Christianity could be reformed. And as for Judaism, it is not a proselyting religion. So it is inherently less likely to be subjugating others, as it has natural boundaries. Islam IS the problem, Abdel. And that problem will not be addressed until people like you address it, rather than deflecting it with blather about how all religions have some bad ideas. And the totalitarian rot will not be cleansed with apologetics based on "Palestinian" perceptions, feelings of injury, death, and so forth.
34. " gaza mothers tell their children"...?
Israel   (09.28.07)

Shiloh ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.28.07)
Abdel, please explain how on June 3, 1967 the people where Jordanians, then the next morning on June 4,1967 they are now "palestinians". There has never been a 'people' called Palestinians, ever!!! It was an area, called Palestine by the British Mandate. Not a nation ever of any Arabs. You simply cannot invent a people to eliminate another. What is funny, in the Torah, it speaks to the Jews, of whom Israel is promised to, that in the time of the end we will be harrassed by a "non-people". How ironic isn't it. Since the two latter major religions base their book on the truth of the Book, and the Book of the People (the Jews), isn't it logical that trying to rid us of our land is an excersise in futility?
