The Jews who live in Muslim facist societies need to move to Israel. If they don't it's because they like being abused or are used to being slaves.

Jew ,   Jerusalem   (09.28.07)
Its not enough thay you are not in Eretz Israel, no you have to make pictures on Yom Kippur and distrub the last local Syrian Jews just in order to get your story. Why not at any other day? Hopefully next YK will be more meaningful to you.

Why you dont tell which passport this reporter was holding when he entered Syria !! you are trying to frame it as some kind of heroic adventure when in fact anyone with European passport can enter Syria !!!

11. To 'Jew'
Meir Moses   (09.28.07)
If you read the piece, you'll see that the photos were taken AFTER Yom Kippur, as that is when the Rosh Kehillah asked him to come back. I doubt the Rosh Kehillah would let him take pictures on YK.
12. "A bridge over the Euphrates, I'm on the left."
Frequent Ynet Reader ,   UK   (09.28.07)
That caption reminded me of tedious evenings spent in darkened rooms in front of the slide projector, forced to endure the in-laws' mindnumbing account of their weeks holiday to the English coast. Thanks Ynet, you just ruined my day.
13. Ron Ben-Yishai bashers
Isragirl   (09.28.07)
I dare you, Jews and especially Israelis, to go into an enemy state, deal with undercover officers on every corner, and the fear to be identified and arrested as an Israeli spy. Than you can criticize him and tell how easy it is. #12 - LOL, I had a flashback to the same thing!
14. Congratulations

we should admit that Ron Ben-Yishai is courage man ..and you jew should admit that syrians r very kind people and you should admit our great hospitality ;) we let that man travel across all our country without even bothering him even in one word!! you should take in consideration what he's stated in his article that he found syrian people not caring of war with Israel ;) I found here a very racist comments against us ??!! don't you want peace jews??!! you've been talking a bout peace with your neighbours many decades ..do u lie??!!
16. What a victory
does it matter ,   New York, USA   (09.30.07)
The majority of Israelis with dual citizenships (Americans, Canadians, French ...etc.) can enter Syria as tourists and unless they identify themselves as Israelis, they will be met with nothing but pure hospitality and maybe some curiosity. On the other hand, being American of a Syrian decent I can also enter Palestine "Israel" and I think I will be met with some sort of hospitality unless if I identify myself as an Arab or Syrian... There is no doubt in my mind that there a lot of intelligent people who came to live in "Israel" and none of them would think of this "adventure" as a victorious intrusion of Syria!!
