It is very important that the truth be established, whatever the case may be. However, the information so far provided do not indicate that any new evidence has emerged. Crucial to the investigation was the law wall by which the little boy and his father are seen sheltering, but this was was demolished by the IDF a few days later. A ballistic examination of the bullet impact on this wall would helped to establish which bullets had hit the wall around the boy and his father. Similarly, the father received some 10 bullets and he was treated in an Israeli hospital, where forenside examination of the bullets and shrapnel could have similarly helped to establish from which weapons they had been fired. Unfortunately none of this was done by the Israeli authorities and that crucial evidence was destroyed.
