The Golan Heights came under Muslim control in 636 AD, being conquered by the Muslim Arab Army -- till the First World War (1917 AD). In 1923 AD Britain and France assumed their Mandatory responsibility. Britain made concessions to the French by transferring the Golan Heights from British Mandate Palestine to the French Mandate Syria in 1924 AD -- which was protested against by USA President Woodrow Wilson. During the Six Day War of 1967 Syria lost the Golan Heights, being conquered by Israel. Syria attacked Israel during Yom Kippur in 1973 -- Syria was pushed back from the Golan Heights by an Israeli counterattack. And THIS time Israel decided to annex the Golan Heights -- and so it DID in 1981. SO, now the Golan Heights belongs to the State of Israel. It was theirs in the past, being given to them by Yahweh -- and now AGAIN it belongs to Israel. So, Assad, don't CRY over the Golan Heights -- you STARTED the war, and you lost the Golan Heights. You have NO reason at all to cry over Golan Heights. AND remember one thing : the Golan Heights will NEVER EVER be given back to Syria. WHY not? Because it was Israel's all along -- and now it has come BACK to its RIGHTFUL owner. SO, stop crying !!!
