Khalid ,   Gaza City   (10.08.07)
"Most Syrians, with few exceptions, view Israel as a sadistic, land-stealing nation ... this is due to years of anti-semitic rhetoric by the regime" Ummm, maybe it's due to the land that Israel sadistically stole?
4. How did he get into Syria?
Tommy ,   America   (10.08.07)
Can someone from ynet please post an article on how Ron Ben-Yishai was able to travel so freely in Syria as an Israeli? Thank-you
5. #3 "the land that Israel sadistically stole"
Sam ,   Canada   (10.08.07)
For lack of any other argument Arabs repeat that the Jews stole the land. Aside from the fact that the Jews paid for the land and the Arabs lost it in the wars they initiated and lost, the land belongs to G-d. G-d gives it to and takes it from whoever G-d chooses. G-d gave it to the Jews. The Arabs in their greed want everything.
6. What a shame.
Sexy Arabian Guy ,   Saudi Arabia   (10.08.07)
He went as a tourist but he become as a terrorist. That is what terrorism is. I guess you can not define that term because it will apply on most of Americans and Zionists. He went with a tourist VISA I guess but he went and SPIED there. What will you say if Hizbollah send someone to spy in Occupied Palestine? You will say they are terrorist. Keep Up You Shame.
7. blah di blah from SYRIA? Who bloody cares?

8. To #3 - "Khalid"
Mush DeLeon ,   Yerushalaim Zahav   (10.08.07)
Dude, Gaza City? You're English is way too good for Gaza City. More like Gaza City, Bay Ridge. Besides, if we stole anything, it was from the British and the Ottoman Turks, not the sea-dwelling nation of Phillistia.
9. fantastic video! leaves me wondering....
(10.08.07)
if they didn't hate us, who would they hate?
10. 4#, Tommy, I am mystified too
Judah ,   Golan Heights.Israel   (10.08.07)
How did he get into Syria? Do the Syrians not know that this Israeli reporter is there? Don't the Syrians want to capture him and arrest him? Something just doesn't add up.
11. nice
eliezer ,   jerusalem israel   (10.08.07)
a very nice video, kudos to ynet and ben yehai
12. are Muslims allowed in Israel?
(10.08.07)
certainly not. No one of the 1.4 billion Muslims, dying to make pilgrimage to Al-Aqsa Mosque, can enter Jerusalem. The reason is that; Muslims and Al-Aqsa is abhorrent to Israel. That's very very obvious.
13. #12 Are you stupid?
(10.08.07)
14. #12 of course!, Jews are allowed in Arab & Islamic countries
(10.08.07)
15. #12 unprecedented but it happened months back
(10.08.07)
an Indian Muslim delegation was allowed in Israel to ferment the Hindo-Muslim conflict! Official Secular Turkish team is allowed now and then for the sake of appeasement!
16. #14: Yes, we are, actually
Secular Realist   (10.08.07)
Jews are allowed into Arab countries, subject to restrictions as anyone else. I've visited more than a half dozen Arab countries, some hostile, some neutral, some friendly. I've a very obviously Jewish name, too. Never any problems. Israeli nationals are a different story.
17. # 3 Khalid, Azza city, Israel
Josef Matamoros ,   Finland   (10.08.07)
You have either lost your perception of reality and hostory or then you don't either have a clue of both of them. To your knwledge: you are living, as a trespasser, on Israeli soil. Mediavel histories tell us around one thousand years ago there were well managing Jewish villages and towns in Azza. Years 1948-1967 were a devastating period of Arab occupation and since 2005 things go bad, again. Don't you agree: since 2005 you have growing inner violence and intolerant islamist, Hamas-run tyranny. Yet, more sad is you have chosen it this way. In the end, however, all of Israel returns in Israeli control. Then, all Azzans will be Israeli citizens.
18. #16 some friendly Arab countries???
(10.08.07)
I wish u keep going to "friendly Arab countries". Just dont ask IDF to get u out...
19. #16 thank you Secular Realist
(10.08.07)
what I want to add is that Religious Jews are also allowed. Jews used to visit the Shrine of Abu Hasira, near Alexandria, Egypt. They were permitted to make their ritual at the shrine every year after the peace treaty. For the last few years, fewer Jews visit the shrine may be for security concern. Jews have been the ones who limit their visits, but the authorities do not object to issue visas and more try its best to ensure security of the visitors.
20. Very informative!

22. jerusalem, mecca
yeled ,   israel   (10.08.07)
if islam can go to jerusalem then why not let christians and jews to mecca,? after all where did those islamic prophets come from?
23. #22 there is only One God and One Islamic Prophet
(10.08.07)
I was working in Mecca for more than 15 years and I had plenty of other Non-Muslims working with me. It is only the Sacred site of Mecca (Haram) and its vicinity for less than 8 km radius where Non-Muslims are not allowed. During Haj pilgrimage and Ramadan the down Town itself is so crowded with more than a million of worshipers that you can hardly walk on foot.
