31. Let me ask you something you have not
Brooke   (10.14.07)
addressed. And if the arab Israeli "palestinians" refuse to go? Will the IDF force them out the way your Dad did to the Gush Katif, who are still refugees in their own country? I am sure the IDF will not be allowed to use force. You KNOW the IDF will need to protect themselves against the guaranteed violence from the arabs. Then the rest of the world will scream "disproportinate" strength against protecting their own Jewish lives. Then the UN will insist on doing their own corrupt investingation. The human rights watch will blame Israel and the country will be threatened with international murder crimes. The Israeil arabs will never agree to live under the corrupt palestinan rule and be deprived of their social services. They will riot and sneak back in. This idea is as suicidal as leaving Gaza and turning over the Philadelphi corridor so more Jews can be more easily murdered. Any more bright ideas?
32. Michael, Haifa, so you'd like Jewish Israel disappear, but
AK   (10.15.07)
you also don't like living with your brethren? At least be consistent -- decide.
33. Israel's ignorant would be leaders
Danny   (10.15.07)
East Jerusalem Arabs don't have Israeli citizenship, you idiot! That is precisely the difference. Furthermore, citizenship that can be revoked on a whim says much about that country's respect for the most elemental tenants of democracy. That the former prime minister's own son knows so little about his country frighteningly pathetic.
34. there are more then 20 arab countries they can move to
jack bauer   (10.15.07)
Feiglin and Kahane were right! As long as the arabs want to kill jews there can never be peace. No matter how many oslos there are, no matter how many 2 state final solutions there are. It is a pity that in 48 and 67 all arabs were not deported, and all the territory captured be publically and finally annexed forever!
35. just like India 1948
alan ,   Cordova Alaska   (10.15.07)
When India was partioned, millions of Muslims and Hindus were forced to move long distances. It was a bloody relocation. But the wise leadership saw that in the end it was the only way to prevent even more bloodshed. A process should be set up to allow for an irrivocable choice for Israeli Arabs to leave and if they do never come back as citizens. Choice is the key here. Forced relocations are sometimes necessary and do sometimes bring longer lasting peace. Divisions of peoples who have ireconciable differences is often desirable. It is good Gilad the wise has the courage of his father and the blunt manner of putting the obvious on the table for discussion. Good luck Gilad.
36. ok great, but when I read Ariks "warrior" i seem to remember
jack bauer ,   joshua 16:45-47   (10.16.07)
him saying how important it was to remain in gaza and keep the enemies closer......then he became PM and presto, chango.....give it to the palis ...... tadaaaa........gaza=hamastan
37. 16 Dave: It was Gilad Sharon's brother Omri who resigned
Rivkah   (10.18.07)
from the Knesset after being charged with a minor campaign law violation that others also violated who were not charged or convicted. Omri Sharon is in jail serving a seven month sentence. Being from Australia, you would know all about criminals since most Aussies are descended from people who did not want to be hanged in Britain for minor offenses, so they agreed to serve in prisons in Australia. Omri Sharon felt his father was the best person for the job and did what others do without being charged. He did not excuse what he did but is serving a sentence that destroyed his career and broke his father's heart, that you gleefully abuse verbally. He is numbered with the transgressors, as the Bible would say; but then, so was Jesus. Gilad Sharon ran the family ranch and businesses, but when his brother was no longer eligible for Knesset membership, Gilad turned to the family tradition of politics because unless his brother is pardoned, Omri cannot be in the Knesset anymore. You laugh at people who have served their country as best they could. There were advantages, but there were many sacrifices, too. Omri has never even married and is in his forties, putting his father's career and his before his personal life. People jeer that the Jews were pulled out of Gaza on the instruction of Ariel Sharon. Read the book of Zephaniah in the Bible if you have one in Australia since few Aussies read or care about the Bible. In the second chapter, you will learn that the Jews who were pulled out of Gaza will not die when God judges that area with the deaths of ALL Philistines (Palestinians) there. Will God's judgment be a tsunami or an earthquake or what? I do not know. The Jews who were pulled out are so unthankful for their lives, that even American Jewish charities are reluctant to help them. If the Gaza Kush Gatif Jews THANKED God instead of cursing Him, maybe more charities and the government of Israel would want to help them more. They want to sit in government housing instead of moving on and getting jobs somewhere else like everyone else.
38. 36 Jack Bauer: Politics and government are about
Rivkah   (10.18.07)
providing the greatest good for the greatest number. Losing many, many billions of dollars a year in American foreign aid for not pulling the Jews out of Gaza was not doing the greatest good for the greatest number. Jews have been under attack for many millenium. Why should that change now? But you want to blame one person who was under pressure to do what the American government wrongly thought would work. So blame the Americans if you want someone to blame.
