Someone has forgotten that between 1948 and 1967 the Jordanians controlled the Old City of Jerusalem. During that time, they forbade Jews from worshipping at the Western Wall, converted synagogues into garbage heaps and latrines, and destroyed Jewish graves to build roads and hotels. Now, someone wants to give them control of these areas again? Are they nuts? Besides, giving control to the Arabs of the Temple Mount is an outright abandonment of our right to exactly the most Jewish spot in all of Jerusalem, if not the world. This would fly in the face of the basic reason for us to have returned to the Land of Israel, i.e. to pave the way for the rebuilding of the Temple.

Jerusalem isnt a bar of chocolate that you can share say you have a piece this size you have a piece that size and I have a piece this size. It also puts disputed areas into the hands of an indipendent body which will ensure there is no destruction of holy sites and that everybody is free to visit these sites. This is meaningless until Jordan approves it. It's doubtful Jordan wants even more Palestinians to have full citizenship rights.
