Its not even a comproimise Jordan is the palestian state in all but name 80% of its population define themselves as palestians so your saying dont giive it to one palestian state as a compromise give it the the other palestian state. Even by discusing these ideas it shows that Israel no longer deserves Jerusalem when its simply put on the table as something to be negotiated away as freely as a the smallest settlement. The soul of the jewish state is dying when in exchange for a peace treaty thats as valuable as toilet paper then Jerusalem and the holiest site in judaism will be given away ... the muslims wouldnt even give away the tiniest mosque in the North Pole because for them thats a holy place and they would even be willing to die protecting it. The Temple Mount needs to be taken out of Israels hands and put under the trust of somebody who will protect it and thats an international trust created for the sole purpose of keeping it free for all to visit and worship at, making sure there is no destruction of archeology which the Israeli government has given up trying to do anything about. Not the UN or any individual state a trust of some kind spesificly created for controling Temple Mount and there would be neither jews or muslims having any say in decision making it would be entirley secular. The trust itself would also be supervised to ensure it carries out its mandate fairly in an unbiased way. When your not responsible for looking after something importrant then you need it taken away for its own protection if its caretakers are not acting responsibly. Soicial services will take a child away from its pearents if it was being neglected or abused now Temple Mount must be taken away from Israel for its protection but it must not be given to arabs or muslims.

I have only one very sad comment to make - who in the world do you trust? Who hasn't betrayed or hurt the Jews before? Do not even suggest the idea of outsourcing that sacred trust. What you need is regime change. You need someone else in charge of Israel, with everything that it entails: its heritage, its land, its people.

Look at the the destroyed Jewish communities of Mecca and Medina. Jerusalem is ours. Change the government and impose peace rather than beg for it. Howard Even regime change in Israel may not have the nececary effect. Even Sharon the hard man wasnt willing to get into a confrontation over the destruction of archeology and illigal construction work that was going on so its not just Olmert in this case its simply a case of allowing the Temple Mount to become a political issue. As far as they are concerened the archologists can shout and scream all they like but the attitude is thats not my problem. Give the muslims control and they will build and destroy anything that conects the site to jews and the Israeli government is to afraid to act if it gets politicly sensetive so non of them are responsible enough. Only some kind of indipendent international trust something that will be created from scratch not any existing body. It can have no jews or muslims on its comitee, religion can never be permited to be involved in any decision making. There must be strict guidlines from the moment its created on building regulations, archology and access to holy to the site to people of all faiths .. as long as they respect the site they can visit doesnt matter if your jew, christian or muslim. There must be authority to enforce these rules using force if nececary its not just going to be a I will ask you nicley not to break the rules but I cant force you to do anything type of organisation. This organistaion must also have some kind of supervisory body to ensure they stick to the terms of their mandate Something like this is the only way to make sure that the site isnt destroyed because of muslims wanting to destroy evidence of a jewish history and Israeli leaders to afraid to take on these people because they are worried it might affect other politcal issues they are involved in. It would be nice if Israel could keep soverignty over Temple Mount but unfortunatly it has been proven that the Israeli leadership is not responsible enough and as we dont want it in the hands of the muslms what other practical option is there?

Wait upon The Lord......As the 3rd Temple construction begins off-site, my guess is the November "Peace Conference" will conclude in a way that allows for rebuilding of the Temple, though likely under UN jurisdiction.....
