I don't waste my time on Fiction like the Da Vinci Code. Your knowledge of History is zero. Reading the relevant literature would help you know the subjects in discussion. If you are familiar with googling, you can google on J. A. Wylie, H. Grattan Guinness and Avro Manhattan, and you will get information on their books and their biographical sketch. J. A. Wylie and H. Grattan Guinness were eminent Church Historians and Theologians in the 19th century. Both had written multi-volume works on Church History, the Papacy, the Reformation and the Antichrist. Avro Manhattan was the world's foremost authority on Roman Catholicism in politics. His powerful book, "The Vatican Holocaust," exposes the Holocaust committed against Christians and Jews in the 20th century! You can read the book from the websites listed in post #25. The pictures showing the atrocities are graphic.

The concept of an Antichrist presupposes the existence of Jesus Christ. Now, you are here on a Jewish site. Do you know that nearly all Rabbis and 99 % of Jewish people will REJECT Jesus. They consequently think, you and delicious Rivka, are idolaters and, so to say, members of a sect. Which sect I could not say even if I can guess. As regards history, the mentioned books are not at all a must in my humble opinion. The truth is that you and a few here are dwarfed by a giant in theology called Benedict, our Pope. He wrote, first as a reputed professor, then as a Pope, over hundred brilliant, high-level apologetic books. Read them with care, including his last but one, bold, momentous work - Jesus of Nazareth, where he tried to restore Jesus' true identity as discovered in the Gospels. Through his brilliance as a theologian and his personal conviction as a believer, the Pope shares a rich, compelling, flesh-and-blood portrait of Jesus and incites us to encounter, face-to-face, the central figure of the true Christian faith, so far from false, popular depictions, and religious bazaar. Of course, it's quite possible to speak of Jesus here, but let's be polite and thankful towards our hosts not to expand on this subject ! By the way, it's always crafty of Ynet to feature such sensitive subjects. Good reading !

When I believe I've been wronged, I don't want anyone convincing me otherwise. That's where Jonah finds himself. God made him go to Nineveh, and his only consolation was that God promised to destroy that city. But now that soft-hearted God broke His word and forgave the repentant people. When the prophet goes off to sulk, God gives him a plant for shade, but it dies the next day, and Jonah becomes even more upset. So God asks him a hard question: Why does one plant mean more to you than the lives of 120,000 people? Too often, I, like Jonah, get my priorities wrong. I forget that everything I have is a gift from God and that even my worst day is better than the best day of countless numbers of the world's poorest people. Prayer: Generous God, help me to appreciate my blessings and to help those in need. OSV

You have'nt to be a believer to appreciate your life , and to think that your worst day is better than the best of the greatest number of people in the world . This is valable for everything , beginning with health . You have'nt to look only at those who have more , look at your back , at all those who have less . This is a way to be happy with what you have , with your life . All the best to you

Of course, but my point was that, sometimes, and more often than it should, some so-called "believers" do behave worse than non-believers. I, personally, am very happy with I have, even if it is not much. A German writer (Goethe) said : « Die schlechteste Gesellschaft lässt dich fühlen, dass du ein Mensch mit Menschen bist ». Have a nice weekend, cher Ami. My kind regards to you family. Shalom Shabbat
39. Translation of German quote in my last message to Charles
Abel Shoni ,   France   (10.12.07)
"The worst company lets you feel that you are a human being with other human beings". (Goethe) Cher Ami, translation is meant for those who might not know German, not you. Nice weekend and all the best.

Invicta! Petra is correct. Please read up on your history. The catholic church would even dig up the bones of dead Jews and put them on trial for heresy and then confiscate their estates. If they were living Jews, they would try to force them to convert and if they refused they would kill them and confiscate their estates. There is wealth untold that the catholic church stole from the Jewish people. Try a little love, understanding and sensitivity. If you are a Christian, read the history of the inquisitions. Read Martin Luther etc. I am an American Messianic. I firmly serve my Lord Yeshua. I don't condone hatred but neither do I deny the truth. Study your history and you will then understand why Petra and the Jews feel the way they do. I don't blame them a bit. I as their forgiveness for ever being associated with anti-semitic groups whether they think themselves holy or not. I say to all my Jewish brethern in the words of Ruth, "For where you go, I will go; where you lodge, I will lodge; your people are my people, and your God is my God; where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may Hashem do to me, and so may He do more, if anything but death separates me from you."

Read history books about WWII . Look for Christians hiding and rescuing Jews in occupied Europe . Don't look only at the dark middle ages , there We , Jews , suffered a lot . During WWII many hundreds of thousands Jews were saved by those you condemn . I was one of them . And please , don't come to preach your "sect Faith [ ? ] " here , stay in your place , not on an Israeli site , you are not welcome .

Don't you have enough sense to know when someone is speaking in your favor? I was condeming no one, I was simply pointing out the facts of history. Furthermore, I don't need your welcome. This is an open forum. If those who administer it don't want my post they will not release them, so keep your hate to yourself. It is not welcome. David
