As a proud pro-Israeli, I have to disagree with you 14. It doesn't matter whether they are invented or not. They exist en masse and therefore have the right to live on that land in peace. They make the same claims about Israel being an "invented" nation, but we too have the right to a state for no other reason than that we are a people living, born and raised there. The settlement blocks take up a sizeable portion of the West Bank/Judea & Samaria past the border, but only 3% of WB/J & S Palestinians live on that land. We take that land, they take the rest. The outposts have to go. Israel should provide FULL compensation, not the half-assed job from Gaza disengagement, to the settlers entering Israel proper. They get their land, we get ours. Jerusalem I'm still divided on, but I see no reason why not to have it as a shared capital. The right of return though- absolutely not.

If this is where Abbas wants negotiations to start, Israel needs to think more strategically. How about this as a starting platform for negotiations: 1) There was never a Palestinian state to begin with: Why should we create one now? No Palestinian state. 2) The districts of Judea and Samaria will be annexed by the State of Israel. 3) All residents of the West Bank whose Jordanian citizenship was stolen from them in 1988 will be reinstated with their Jordanian citizenship. They will either be given the right to move back to Jordan (which was the Arab state envisioned by the UN in 1948) with full compensation from the Israeli government for the real estate left behind or will be able to remain in Judea and Samaria without such compensation. 4) Seeing that the majority of refugees from the 1948 war are descended from Syrian, Lebanese and Egyptian fellaheen, the right of return to their countries of origin has actually been realized by their displacement during the 1948 war. Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt must release the Palestinians they hold in concentration camps, repeal their apartheidist policies against them, and let them be a normal, functioning part of Arab society. 5) If one more Qassam is fired from Gaza, water and electricity will irrevocably be shut off. Gaza must either be annexed by Egypt or devolve into a Palestinian state ruled by Hamas. Let the negotiations begin!
