Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (10.14.07)
This is the religon of peace remember
2. I ask Ahmedanajad and the Iranian people:
(10.14.07)
Don't you have families? Don't you go to work? Don't you fall in love? Don't you have children? Don't you send them to schools? Why are Ahmedanajad and the Iranian people always associated with such negative issues? Why? The Iranians have many academics and scholars and are smart - so why be involved in all this terror all the time? Where is your heart?
3. Revolutionary Guards
aj ,   berkeley CA   (10.14.07)
This is why they should be on the list of terrorist organizations
4. Captives Remains
Mother of a Soldier ,   Israel   (10.14.07)
These two words are used interchangeably in this article, but mean completely different things. Captives means they are alive; Remains means they are dead. Which is it? What is the source of the French official's statement? Shoddy reporting on an emotionally sensitive subject.
5. stop printing speculation of specualtors
alan ,   Bethel Alaska   (10.14.07)
if the press would stop mussing, the guilty parties would have no reason to keep the soldiers anyone who knows is not talking
6. thanks to our prime minister

sites into oblivion-- in payment for them taking part in killing israel's best. my prayers go out for these two brave idf soliders who gave their lives for israel, and my deepest condolences to their families. for a jew, there is no pain as deep as when an israeli soldier is killed. they sacrifice their lives to keep us safe.
8. the punisher
hezbollah ,   beirut   (10.14.07)
hey man we r waiting for u guys to bomb iran then we will be happy 4 many reasons , one of the best reason is that ur countdown has begun
9. don't cry wolf
(10.14.07)
Israel moved its prisoners from the west Bank, and before from Gaza, to its prisons in Negev inside the international borders. The aim was to prohibit family visits and HRW approach, or at least limit them to minimum. How many kidnapped Lebanese- even civilians- Israel has been keeping for years without releasing information about them. Israel set the example.
10. Human Shields
Christy ,   Boston, US   (10.14.07)
Iran has decided to use these men as human shields. They will place them where the believe a strike could come to knock out their nuclear capability. I don't know if these men are dead or alive. It doesn't matter to Iran. The outside world will be guessing & perhaps choose not to strike where they think these men are held. If there are strikes at Iran they can produce the blown-up bodies & claim how barbaric we are.
11. This is not good. My sister in Orange County, California,
Rivkah   (10.14.07)
had an Iranian neighbor who spent eight years in an Iranian prison after his wife visited relatives in America. When she returned to Iran, her Air Force officer husband and she were arrested and accused of espionage. She was tortured until she lost the child she was carrying, then released. Her husband was tortured for eight years, but survived. He was hung from the ceiling until his shoulders became dislocated. He showed my sister, her husband, and me his many scars from the unfair imprisonment. The good news is that he survived. If Iran does that to its own, it will be worse for Jews unless there is an advantage in not harming them. I read recently that US President paid BILLIONS with a B of dollars for the release of the US hostages in 1980-81 who were released on the day of President Reagan's first inauguration. That gave the Iranians and other militant Moslems a taste for US kidnap/blackmail money. That shows you cannot buy peace and I hope Secretary Rice understands that.
12. TB cont'd: When these IDF troops are released from Iran,
Rivkah   (10.14.07)
if still alive, they will need many corective surgeries if what happened to my sister's former Iranian Air Force officer neighbor is what happens to the IDF troops. I am glad to say, my sister's neighbor did NOT become an angry man. He was and is thankful to be with his family again and to be in America. He is a kind man who helped my sister with her husband's funeral and has been like a brother to her for many years. The terrible wrongful Iranian imprisonment did NOT spoil his soul. It made him sad because he loved Iran, but after such an experience he would not go back there unless there was a regime change.
13. גלעד, אהוד, אלדד ורון - לחופש נולדו!!! ;-(
Kobi ,   New Zealand   (10.14.07)
Elohai Avoteinu only knows what those killers have done with Ron, with Eldad, with Ehud and with Gilad. How can there be negotiation with they while they hold our brothers? Israel has released murderers of the likes of Dirani and worse, while in the West during LW2 the ignorant and the Israel-haters were clamouring for poor Samir Kuntar's release. After all, aren't all Israeli soldiers just cold-blooded killers trespassing on the holy islamic waqf? the answer, if it isn't obvious to any readers, is no, they are conscripts and reservists within Israeli territory defending its inhabitants from very real, and very grave threats. unlike the Fatah gangsters (and of course, now their Hamas inheritors) of whom Samir Kuntar was one, the IDF does not cold-bloodedly murder children and their unarmed parents. enough is enough. these snakes who operate as they do, being not even rogue states but little religious mafia groupings need to be stamped out once and for all.
14. Mickey, would you PLEASE shut up!!!!!!!
Helene ,   Israel   (10.14.07)
Let those who know what they are doing do what they are doing... we all understand that already and there is NO NEED for you to say it!!!

16. Iran and Israeli prisioners
M.Ernst ,   USA   (10.14.07)
If it is proven beyond doubt that the two IDF soldiers are indeed held captive in Iran, then an Israel with any self-respect would make an ultimatum to Iran: as follows: "you have 72 hours to release our IDF men and see to it that they are transferred to a neutral entity from which they will be returned to Israel. That failing, the Israeli Government will declare itself at war with Iran. This declaration will be immediately followed by an all-out bombing attack on all military, strategic, communications, oil production sites in Iran. Of course, I am dreaming. This might happen under an Israeli government presided over by MEN(and strong women) instead of what we have now--putzes, weenies, morons, traitors, thieves and most of all, COWARDS
17. EVERYTHING IN IRAN.......

19. Puzzled?
Adrian ,   Beirut, Lebanon   (10.14.07)
As usual, Roee Nahmias is good at telling half the truth, if not less. This time he has forgotten, intentionally of course, to tell us that he was citing the London-based al-Shark al-Awsat, a Saudi-financed, MI6-supported, CIA-organized and Mossad-sponsored daily. Just to remind all those who are concerned about the fate of the captives – or remains, Hezbollah Secretary-General made it loud and clear: ‘no one shall be able to have access to any piece of information about them unless a price is paid in return’. Later, Hezbollah restrictedly and exclusively associated the entire issue of the captives with its Secretary-General. It further prohibited anyone, other than its leader, from talking about the matter. As a result, speculations about any deals with the Germans become a logical deduction anyone with a sound mind can reach. But is it true? Is it what really happened? Only can Sayyed Nasrallah answer this question. Meanwhile, fiddle-faddle from London, Tel Aviv, USA, and the rest of the world continues to pour forth.

all I can say is that you're a sick puppy. Seek medical help for you own sake.
21. #16 Ernst - That is an insult to all putzes, weenies, morons
meir elazar   (10.14.07)
#16 M. Ernst - Your comparison of Olmert is an insult to all putzes, weenies, morons, traitors, and thieves. The only one who is low enough to be compared to Olmert is Jimmy Carter. Carter is probably the single person most responsible for the terrorist condition of the world today. Under his watch Iran fell to Khomeini and Radical Shiite Islamists who continue to terrorize the region and the world. He was a failure at extricating the American hostages who were only released after Reagan replace Carter in the White House. Instead of helping Russia fight the radical terrorist Islamic Taliban in Afghanistan he instead boycotted the Olympics and destroyed the dream of a generation of American athletes along with the Olympic ideals and sportmanship. (Remember Jesse Owen in 1936 winning the Olympic race in Hitler's face). The initiative that led to the Rabin-Sadat accords was done by Sadat. Again, Carter was totally coincidental and contributed nothing. Carter, 1n 83 year old idiot, continues to delude himself and tries to undermine USA policy. In conclusion, if you catalog Olmert's failings, it can only be compared with Carter.
