November talks!!!! ,   jan/usa   (10.14.07)
2. treacherous liars & decievers
Marcel ,   Florida   (10.14.07)
Thats all the U.S. does is pressure Israel and reward the Palestinians for their terrorism. When has Bush ever pressured the Plaestinians to do anything of substanse for real peace. All he does is make excuses for a phony 'weak' Abbas and keep his criminal enterprise afloat with millions and millions of U.S. tax dollars. If nor fro U.S. helping and suporting the Palestinian terrorists they would have shrivled up and died long ago. Who does this liar think he is fooling ?
3. US can only give money & arms to Israel; as the lobby wants

This article is a joke, right?
7. pressure
marcel ,   candada   (10.14.07)
Olmert says that US won't pressure Israel on refugees, Jerusalems and West bANK. Of course they will. What a stupid childish fool Olmert is! He could not be more of schlimeil. He has no capacity to look US in the eye and say no. He has no backbone.
8. Liars & Saudi PUPPETS !! end
Brooke   (10.15.07)
9. Olmert must go
Frank ,   Canada   (10.15.07)
Olmert was not able to win the war against Hizballah because he is an uncompetent idiot, he is not able to negociate anything, even with himself.
10. No pressure needed with Olmert
AK   (10.15.07)
He'll anticipate Rice's demands and oblige willingly before she even opens her mouth.
11. If you believe that you will belive anything
zionist forever   (10.15.07)
If Olmert hasnt sold Jerusalem & its holy sites and made major compromises on security when this conference is over I will be very surprised. There is no way Condoliza Riice is going to let this conference fail the Bush administration wants to be remebered for doing something in the region other than make a mess in Iraq. Olmert is an idiot with his eyes on a nobel prize not Israels future and both the US and Israel love Abbas these days because he is not Hamas and are begging to do thiings for him and make concesions.
12. November Conf is a TOTAL FAILURE
Nader ,   Ramallah   (10.15.07)
The November Conf is defenitly a total failure because Israel is not welling to enter into fair and just peace process. Israel is a state of war, so can never be state of peace. It's by history, Israeli's can not return anything without being forced to do so " I mean military actions againts Israel".. I'm supposed to be a pragmatic person who loves peace , but now and after reading the negative declerations by ALL Israeli leaders (including this idiot Barak) and the Israeli populations themselves that I was thinking they are different than their Gov in the way they think, I started to beleive that HAMAS and Hizboallah were right in their views which I never beleived in, now I beleive in Hamas and Hizboallah, AND IRAN.. This is what the Israelis want, to turn every Palestinian into a terorrist !! NOW YOu GOT IT !! let the bloodshed continue and let us see what Israel would gain out of it's continous rejections to the peace initiatives by the entire world... I can assure you Israelis that you will gain nothing but more suicide bomings inside your cities, more killing in the Palestinian cities, innocient victims in both sides. This is the BLACK/SAD picture that Israe would like always to see.. the "No Peace" choice is yoru choice, then bear the consecuences.....
13. NO USA PRESSURE ?
DAN ,   USA   (10.15.07)
Maybe Olmert will by the Brooklyn bridge from me. Who is trying to kid who ? IT IS ALL ABOUT PRESSURE and if Olmert succumbs to it Israel will be the loser.
14. The 1-State, Bi-National Solution
new_york_loner ,   Rochester, NY   (10.15.07)
Even if the elusive goal of a 2-state solution were ever realized, the Israeli/Palestinian conflict would continue. Two armed and unrepentant sides, hating and staring each other down for all eternity, is not the answer. The only long-term solution is the one-state, bi-national solution. A de-militarized, re-unified Palestine - where Muslims, Jews and Christians respect and tolerate each other - is the most logical way to finally answer the burning question - "who has legitimate title to the Promised Land.?" Sharing the land of Palestine may confound the end-times extremists and the militant theocrats, but it could extend the life expectancy of human civilization on earth. Consensual annexation of the occupied territories and full-citizenship for the residents living there should be the goal, not more apartheid, more Jim Crow and more polarizing partitions. Sadly, the Israel Lobby, the Defense Lobby and the Energy Lobby - collectively known as the War Lobby - would never stand for such a pragmatic and equitable solution.
15. For Israel To DEMAND Finally.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (10.15.07)
NOW it is time for Israel to DEMAND finally something from the Palestinian Arabs for her own, namely NO firing of any kind of rockets into Israel for the coming 10 years. I think NOW it is time for the Americans, for the first time ever, to put pressure on the Palestinian Arabs -- for a change. THE joint declaration should state that NO talks will take place as long as rockets of ANY kind are being fired at Israel -- that there will be period of 10 years of WAITING after the last rocket is fired into Israel, before statehood talks will commence. THIS is what Israel SHOULD demand, and what America SHOULD demand. The Palestinian Arabs can't have a state and continue to be belligerent towards Israel. This NONSENSE mentality of the Palestinian Arabs must CHANGE.
16. #12- I think its more important for you to evaluate........
Cameron ,   USA   (10.15.07)
the consequences of the behavior & choices you and yours have chosen, Nader. The trainwreck that Gaza has degenerated into provides good material for you to think on.
17. lyrics from ( pressure - my people be free ) read them
jack bauer ,   be blessed   (10.15.07)
Can't be held down by no evil force, who the Most High bless, no man can curse. Knowledge is the key and the world is yours. But they control yourself of coarse. Can't be held down by no evil force, who the Most High bless no one can curse. With loyalty and humbleness you shall inherit the earth. Know your purpose in creation, and do your part, make an effort. My people be free cause the world is yours, take control of your life of coarse. Who the Most High bless, no man can curse. False rulers of the earth at war for power and money, and the cost of living gets so high the poor and needy can't sustain. Let righteousness exalt and harmony flow through every heart, with love and blessing flowing through, your reward will be promotion. My people be free. Knowledge is the key. A song for the people.... this is a reggae tune (pressure- be free-don corleone label)I heard today and it flashed me into thinking about the plans for dividing and destroying the people of Israel and their lands....Have no fear because those blessed by the Almighty cannot be cursed by anyone! No evil plan can be successful as long as the people remain loyal to the Lord of all. May God bless Israel and her people forever.
18. to number 12.

Why dont you go and live in Iran together withyour peace loving familly and friends??Us Israelis would be much happier not having bozos like you as our neighbours.
19. To Nader #12. The STATE Of Your Mind.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (10.15.07)
You say :"Israel is a state of war, ..". And I would say the STATE of your mind is not proper. IN order to make your STATE of mind healthy -- all the Jew-hatred and destroy-Israel wordings HAVE to be taken OUT from the School Textbooks of the Palestinian Arabs. TO re-educate the NEW generation of Palestinian Arabs WILL take 30 years -- btw one generation consists of 30 years. AFTER this period there will be talks of statehood. NOT before that !! AT the present moment you can live on Jewish Homeland soil, but you can NOT have a state on Jewish Homeland soil. WHY not ? Because the Palestinian Arabs can NOT have a state on Jewish Homeland soil and continue to be belligerent towards Israel !!! Clear ?!

zionist forever   (10.15.07)
Why do your leaders have cartoon shows for children where you have a Mickey Mous look alike preaching hatred for Israel and finaly maytring himself? Why do school teachers tell students hoe honerable martyrdom is? Why do you name sports stadiums and schools after men who blow up Israelis? Why do you throw tantrums everytme you dont get your own way and create a war of terrror .. Barak offered you more than anybody ever had but it wasnt enough and we got an intefada. If your people were seriously interested in peace or 2 states then you would end all terror officialy talk and negotiate it might take 1 year it might take 10 years but what it would garuntee is peace would mean peace it wouldnt simply be shaking hands on the White House lawn and OImert and Abbas sign a document then the next day the rocket attacks continue. Can you seriously see Olmert sending palestian security to use force if need be to stop other palestians who are not happy withe the deal or would the politicians be saying we cant start shooting at our own people lets call the Americans say this deal isnt good enough we want more because it didnt satisfy everybody and we wont use violence against our own people in the name of keeping Israel safe. Talks like these are about serving politicians getting their place in the history books its not about bringing peace. OSLO CAMP DAVID ROADMAP Or any other so called peace plans based on 2 states that we have had today could work only when the people are ready for concesions and making REAL PEACE can you achive it whilst this is just about a bunch of serving polticians looking to achive something during their time in office its going to be one failure after another because peace is not something you can rush or set deadlines for.

No lobby groups, American governments, arab states, palestians or anybody else can choose to go down the binational route thats a decision that can be made by ONLY the Israeli public. Neither the Americans or anybody else have the authtority to say that the solution to a problem a soverign state must accept is to change its entire status choose to longer be a jewish state because its what the arabs want or what a foreign government wants. Israels governments might give into US preasure over most issues but on this one they would say to the president keep dreaming we will not accept your solution no matter what rewards you offer us or what threats you make if we refuse your plans for our future. The solution we should have been working on for the last 15 years should have been making Jordan the palestian state which is what it was originaly created to be because in 1917 the arabs were against the binational state proposed in the Balfour Decleration so an arab state in 80% of the land promised for the jewish homeland was created for those arabs who were against the creation of the proposed binational state the jews had accepted. Over 80% of the population of Jordan today define themselves as palestians. Finding Jordans price to accept them and then pushing Arafat into accepting would have been the best solution. Jordan is the one country thats wanted peace with Israel since 1967 and it is the arab state Israel has best relations with. If Rabin, Peres and Clinton had been forward thinkers who understood the reality of what things would be like once we got down to difficult issues they would have looked for other solutions. Its like Iraq if the Bush administration had looked at Iraqs history and understood how things could end up long term prehaps they would never have invaded. The 2 state solution wont work but replacing a jewish state with a binational arab majority one is not the solution its getting another arab state to take in more arabs not make the arabs happy at the expense of the jews who have just 1 state of their own compared to 22 arab ones and there are approxomatly 50 islamic states in the world so why should the only jewish state change its status so it can be responsible for solving an arab problem.?
22. What a farce!
Doubtom ,   California USA   (10.16.07)
This get-together is but a show for someone's benefit. As anyone with an ounce of grey matter can determine, the Israelis are intent on torpedoing the meeting before it starts. They have no intention of giving up any stolen land and have said so repeatedly; they have no intention of giving up on the sole control of Jerusalem and have stated so forcefully; they have no intention of providing for the return of Palestinians to their rightful homes and properties. And they will , as usual, maintain that all this thievery is due to their need for "security" and equally predictable is their smearing of anyone who disagrees with their activity, as anti-semites. That's it in a nutshell! This is a complete waste of time and money as well as an insult to the people who are footing the bill, the Americans. And there are still those ignorant souls who believe that Israel's interests are identical to our own. With level of ignorance, its no wonder that we're being led by cowards and idiots.
23. To Doubtom #22. Is NO Joke.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (10.17.07)
You say :".. all this thievery is due to their (i.e. Israel) need for security .". SO, you think Israel is joking when Israel speaks of its need for security. It is NO joke ! WE have one clear example that Israel is justified in stressing its security need. ISRAEL left Gaza Strip in August 2005 -- up to the last Jew. Not one Jew is there in Gaza Strip anymore. And what does Israel receive as a thank you -- NOT flower-petals raining from the sky. NO !! An average of 50 Kassam rockets are being fired into Israel EACH month from the Gaza Strip. SO, knowing this fact -- NO one should be surprised of Israels insistence on its security need.
