Olmert knows no shame. He would even conjure up the name of God if he thought he could buy just a little more time for himself on the road to muti-millionairehood.

Nobody gets away with anything in the US without being investigated by Someone. The investigated may remain in office, they may remain untouched by Justice - but the people get to find out. What I'd like to find out is whether there is such a movement in Israel to investigate those that are dedicated to selling out the country. I would start at the Knesset, follow with other important functionaries, such as Court Judges, etc., and I would absolutely have to include all the self-appointed human rights watchdogs. Who are they really - Who finances them - What are their hidden connections - What is in their past. Just think of how much we know about the Bush family, about Rice, about our institutions like the CIA and the FBI, to say nothing of our Congressmen. Not that it does any good, but at least we have a good feeling that they are not fooling all the people all the time. Some of us know. The media mind their manners and keep their distance, but there's always someone with enough guts to go further and look into those leaders' and administrators' closets. Is there such a thing in Israel - and if not, why? There's something about the change of mind that some Israeli politicians, particularly of the right, experience once they are in power. From Sharon, to Bibi, to Lieberman ... Something smells...

Never forget that Jerusalem is holy to Christians & Muslims, not just Jews. Why shouldn't the economic, cultural and religious center of the Palestinian people also be their political capital as part of a peace deal? Seriously, have you ever been to these neighborhoods of Jerusalem? I doubt it--the only Israelis that do are Magav or IDF. This city is de facto divided by walls & fear, despite the "united" mantra of the Right. The only way to reunite Jerusalem is to share it. There is no other route to peace.

Little doubt these east Jerusalem Arab villagers will --- should Olmert give them sovereignty --- bide their time and at the opportune moment, they will fall on the Jews of Jerusalem with a savagery heretofore unheard of! What then will or should the Jews do with Mr. Olmert? Should he cost the lives of hundreds, perhaps thousands of innocent Jews in Jerusalem, why not life for life? Mr. Olmert's life for the lives of those Jews he carelessly put into our enemy's hands. Olmert and Bush are playing with innocent Jewish lives for their own selfish political ends. President Bush is an anti-Semite like Ann Coulter. Bush, like Coulter believes "unperfected" Jews do not deserve the Holy Land. I'm not sure about Mr. Olmert.

Israel's days as occupiers of the Palestinian's lands is coming to an end, as is the free ride for the settlers at the expense of the Palestinian victims of the occupation and Israeli taxpayers. Israel's future lies in the Negev, so Israel should concentrate on buiding new homes and other relocatoin facilities as it welcomes home its citizens to Israel.

EAst Jerusalem would turn into Gaza- Christian Arabs will be persecuted as they are under Hamas/P.A., internet shops bombed, tourism to all of Jerusalem will plummet, lawlessness and bombs in Jerusalem will make Abbas' threat of a 3rd intifada look like child's play. Israelis(zionist majority) cant somehow understand their irrelevance in the world affairs of today. Jerusalem is not Olmerts private property to deal with as he sees fit we know the man is corupt but we dont need another example to remind us of that. Any concesions on either Jerusalem or the Golan must be agreed by a Knesset majority and if it passes that stage then the final say must be by the Israeli people through a referendum. The US might think that Israel is the 51st state and they have to much influence in Israeli politics but nether the Bush administration or the PA have a right to vote on this issue and neither can Americans or palestians vote on what Israel must do. Olmert cant simply go to the US and hand over the keys to the city.
