Do you not find it the least bit curious that -- after supposedly shooting Rabin at nearly point-blank range three times with live bullets -- Amir is shocked when informed that Rabin is dead? ("'He's dead?' asks Amir... 'I can't believe it!'") And how, exactly, does Amir's quoted confession that his mission was "not to kill but to paralyze him politically" jibe with shooting *three live bullets* into the man? Say, I don't suppose this might possibly have some connection with that man who shouted, "Blanks, blanks!" within a second of the shots ringing out? Nah, that's just crazy right-wing conspiracy nonsense, right?
