1. Swap the land, move the arabs to Jordan, big dummy!
Yoni ,   Nahariya   (10.17.07)
When I stay in the old city I wake up in the middle of the night because I think I hear a cat in heat. No it’s the ragheads squawking out of loudspeakers. If you make a wrong turn near Jerusalem it could mean your demise if the arabs surround your car fast enough. If a Jew builds a wonderful home it is suddenly an illegal outpost. If twenty arabs build a mud hut, it’s suddenly an ancient arab village! Lieberman is talking transferring populations, take it to its ultimate end and get rid of the arabs. Jordan is the Palestinian state.
2. A cold, logical plan
Aharon   (10.17.07)
And it's exactly what we need. National interests always come first, and our main national interest is to ensure that Israel remains a Jewish state. If we want that, we have to defuse teh demographic timebomb, and this is the perfect way to do it.
3. Nothing to swap - Israel needs to return what it has stolen
No swap scam   (10.17.07)
There's nothing to swap. Israel needs to withdraw from the lands that are east of the green line. period.
4. false prophet lie-berman
Marcel ,   Florida   (10.17.07)
The government media lie and cover up for their evil masters in Washington The evacuation the past few days of five makeshift Jewish communities in the West Bank was micromanaged behind the scenes by the U.S. government, WND has learned. Israeli police, backed by the Israel Defense Forces, clashed in recent days with Jewish activists and West Bank Jewish residents while destroying the five small outposts the government deemed illegal, because construction was not coordinated with proper housing authorities. The outposts, erected alongside existing legal West Bank Jewish communities, were first built Sept. 30, during the Jewish Succot holiday. Israel strictly enforces regulations against Jewish building in the West Bank while hundreds of thousands of illegal Palestinian outposts have been constructed the past few years. That includes massive apartment complexes and refugee camps on hundreds of acres of land in Jerusalem owned by the Jewish National Fund, a Jewish nonprofit that uses donor funds to purchase property for Jewish settlement http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58179
5. All he wants is to keep his house.
Avraham ,   Netivot   (10.17.07)
6. FLAPPING GUMS
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (10.17.07)
Lieberman has the same virus like so many knesset members, called flapping gums. He just talks and realy does not say a thing. Although I do not agree with Beilin at least he is consistent in his views, unlike Lieberman who sells out just to be a empty hollow loudmouth,an opprtunist getting a fatcat salary. The same with Ynet and co,they will incite and twists the facts to serve their own agenda but we know this and at least they are upfront about their biased reporting and dislike towards the religious parts of the population. But Lieberman while living in Judea just turned out to be a backstabber with a big mouth without conviction nor vision. In honesty when I vote next time I probaly should vote for Beilin, at least I know when to pack my bags and head for another Galuth again.
7. #1 and ragheads
ENglish guy ,   London   (10.17.07)
Your posting is full of the most obscene, demeaning and racist language. You hear "ragheads squawking out of loudspeakers"??? Arabs building "mud huts"? You are obviously living in the wrong place, since your paranoia and scathing ethnic hatred have overtaken your sense of humanity.
8. Dividing Jerusalem
Oren ,   Istanbul   (10.17.07)
We will gladly give them Mea Shearim
9. #7 TeaBag from Londonistan
James Hotspur ,   Jersey, USA   (10.17.07)

10. WHAT YOU REALY DO TO STOP IT ?
THE GREAT KING ,   OF ISRAEL   (10.17.07)
Israel is unlucky about Leaders ! She has Olmert ones (deep smart) She has Katsav ones (hungry wolves) She has Peres ones (no authority power) AND MADAMS, MATMAZELLS (ladies and gentelman ) THERE ARE LIEBERMAN ONES ! no one knows them in outside of world. THEY CANT CREATE EXCITEMENT ! THEY CANT CREATE NATIONAL LOVE, ALLTOGETHER LOVE and there are some foreign good looking great guys as Atilla Karagözoğlu :) BUT YOU DONT TAKE SERIOUS. sorry what we been talking about ? I forget :) love Atilla Karagözoğlu
11. Lieberman's plan kills two birds in one stone
Tahl ,   Israel   (10.17.07)
There are no negatives to this plan, only positives! This plan achieves two important goals at once: 1. Demographically strengthening Israel's Jewish majority. It is well known that Arabs breed at a much higher rate than Jews, which would ultimately make them a majority here in a few generations. This plan averts this catastrophe by turning their nationality from Israeli to Palestinian. 2. The areas of the Arab villages and towns to be added to Palestine, would give Israel full legitimacy to annex Jewish population centers in Judea and Samaria, which otherwise would have to be dislodged under a permanent agreement. We get to keep our major settlements. And if you want, another good result: 3. Israeli-Arabs, who have never fully identified with the state of Israel (only for their national insurance), and always felt here as second-class citizens, and always viewed themselves as Palestinians - are now being united with their Palestinian brothers, in a Palestinian state of their own. And the real good part is that there is no "transfer" here - we don't force them to leave their homes and their lands. They get to keep them! Only their nationality changes. So there's nothing illegal or immoral here, only practical logic. This is the perfect solution.
12. SOLDOUT
Idan ,   Tel Aviv   (10.17.07)
Liberman, you sold out. there is no difference between you and Beilin. Luckily, after next election your party will cease to exist.
13. #3 Nothing to swap
Aharon   (10.17.07)
Are you going to make it return what it has "stolen"? Is the UN? Is the US going to lose an ally for the sake of some Islamic terrorists? Who is going to make Israel "give back" this land? Nobody. So be realistic and stop your nonsensical babbling. The Palestinians are getting more than they deserve.
14. #9
English guy ,   London   (10.17.07)
Something amusing about disgusting racist comments? How would you react if they were directed against your gorgeous US citizens? Grow up, effin idiot.
15. Lieberman's Ideas Would Be Worth Considering ...
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (10.17.07)
If there was no security problem. But considering that I don't think the conflict will be over no matter what we do, quite the contrary, it will only intensify, also no matter what we do, the best option is to cede no territory & cede only population. The Palestinian state will be a failed terrorist state. The object of Hamas, Fatah, & a good proportion of our Israeli Arabs is for an end to a Jewish state. In this they are supported by the Arab states & generally, the other Muslim states. This goal will not change with a Palestinian state nor without a Palestinian state - which means essentially that there is no political solution. This being the case, Lieberman's idea is as unrealistic as Olmert's. However, it is a good thing for him to bring up the subject since this is exactly what should be debated publically & frankly.
16. don't like the man, but...
David ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (10.17.07)
I think he is correct about this. No transfer of people, Israel's Jewish majority is strengthened. I mean come on, you can't go to Ramallah or Schem now anyway. Let them have it if we have decent security in return. The demographic time bomb is ticking - we have no choice. Lieberman's plan kills two birds with one stone. I don't like the man, but he has my vote.
17. Angel Gabriel is coming to protect Jerusalem soon
(10.17.07)
18. English guy, does the truth hurt you that much?
Mike ,   Israel   (10.17.07)
I think i know how you would solve the problems in the area over a cup of tea and biscuts. The fact is english guy your adopted land England has given the chance to see how humanty should live how ever your friends "ragheads" rant on how they want to turn London into one large islamic state. Yeah tea will help you convice them that this will not work. Stay tuned, get rid of the rags.
19. #15 is simply wrong
abdullah ,   ashkenaz   (10.17.07)
.. in arguing that it is better to deny Palestinians a right to self-determination. #15's argument is that this wouldn't end 'Arab' or Muslim hostility to the state of isreal so why bother? What #15 is yet to realize is that isreali foreign policy (like that of many states) is not determined by what 'Arabs' or Muslims want or don't want, but by the 'interests' of the more powerful nations in the world. There is a growing and influential anti-isreal lobby in these nations, and the Palestinian cause offers legitimate cover for advancing an anti-Jewish agenda by the anti-Jewish elements of this lobby. Many people who support this lobby aren't anti-Jewish, they're simply pro-human rights. Thus, by denying Palestinians (including the descendants of refugees) a right to self-determination, either in a separate state or as full citizens of a single 'secular' state, isreal (and Jews by extension) can easily be portrayed as anti-human rights by the anti-Jewish members of this anti-isreal lobby, increasing their support. While the anti-isreal lobby may genuinely be seeking the rights of the Palestinians and the indigenous ‘arab’ population of the region, the anti-Jewish elements of lobby seek to delegitimize jews. In the past, groups with such sentiments had to invent absurd libels and fantasies. Today they don’t have to, because never has there been such an opportunity as the (very real) isreali-Palestinian conflict (with all the publicity) to do just that. This is far more dangerous than #15 cares to admit. More dangerous than anything that can come out of the 'Arab' and Muslim world, which has already been completely subdued by the western nations. There is a lot of anti-Jewish prejudice in the world and not just in the Middle East. And thus this must always be taken into account in any decisions made by isreali policy makers.
20. The unanswered question-security
Sam ,   Canada   (10.17.07)
Surely, if Mr. Lieberman is going to hand over and exchange territories, he must have some knowledge of how Palestinian violence from all the different militant groups will be stopped. I don't think Jews will be accepting of any agreement without a convincing explanation of how security will be maintained. The Israeli government has been silent on this.
21. On English Guy & racism
Ivri   (10.17.07)
I read many of your talkbacks here, but NEVER EVER saw one in which you condem racist talkbacks from muslims, depicting jews and Israelis in the most racist terms. one is left wondering about your sensitivities,,,,,
22. #19 abdullah, there is just as much anti-American sentiment
anti-semitism is the ,   reason for israel   (10.17.07)
in the world right now as there is anti-jewish sentiment. I'm sure if you took a poll of the average American, you would find that he or she would not be exactly pro-muslim either. Granted, the prejudices of small-minded or mis-guided individuals may be a slight threat locally, but they are unlikely to affect the government policies of entire nations (esp. ones with strong investments in their military.) People here and abroad with a peculiar agenda against the Jews can protest and undermine all they want, but if this were really an effective method for influencing US policy, Israel would have already ceased to exist as a nation long ago.
23. # 9 - James, Jersey...
Lior ,   London   (10.17.07)
James, see what we have to deal with over here? It's the little perforations in the teabags that do it... all the intelligence gets washed away with the calcified water. Just ignore the "English Guy". He's just using the Jews as his whipping boy because he can't stand the fact that about 75 per cent of his fellow countrymen have declared immigration to be the most important issue for them in recent polls... after a tottering National Health Service, third world schools, a near-banking collapse and plummeting house prices on their two-up, two-down jerry-built castles in the sky. It's always the way - when they can't stand what's happening to their own country, they just take it out on the Jews. Anyway, his name's Aubrey. Nice, eh?
24. #15 is right - but here is food for thought
jack bauer ,   just read it 1st   (10.17.07)
the only way to settle the issue is to get the jordanians to re-issue the citizen rights of the arabs, and to compensate them (good compensation not peanuts) and send them to live on the "east bank" that would solve this supposed "demographic problem" and at the same time heal the wounds created by those who consider terror legitimate. There would be no need for a wall. there would be no checkpoints. there would be no suicide bombers. there would be no constant complaining about apartheid crap. there would be no more constant bickering and infighting 'there would be peace the only way to achieve this is to "rehabilitate" the arab population and compensate those to be relocated to the "east bank" Jordan must be helped in these troubled times to accomodate the large numbers. It does no good to just send them to stew there. They must be given jobs and opertunity to create a good life there in jorden along with their fellow pali arab brothers. Imagine a Jordan with industry and agriculture and a hard working friendly population. There is only one problem The other arab nations that hate Israel and want the status quo to continue. They would rather have palis suffer and die then have them live in peace building better lives in jordan I would guess that many if not most palis just want a nice home and a decent job so they could live peacefully and raise their kids....but start talking religion with them and your stuffed.
25. 21 you actually wonder?
