3. The fearful chicken and the hungry bear
Marcel ,   Florida   (10.18.07)
The clucking chicken runs to the hungry bear for help because the wolf wants to obliterate his hen house. The hungry bear says he understands . Of course he does,he understands the plans of the wolf because they are working together to obliterate the hen house. May Israel seek help from Hashem instead of hungry bears and blind and dumb eagles with broken wings..

To the poster who commented, "They know, but they don't care": when 25 to 50 nukes go off in Iran, and the ash drifts over parts of Russia, they sure will care. Unless Iran stops it's development of nuclear weapons soon, look for mushroom clouds over Tehran and maybe Damascus. This is not a child's game the mad mullahs are waging, and their supporting clerics in Syria. Bush said WW3 is imminent if Iran gets the "bomb". I say, pre-empt ASAP. Hit Iran from 60,000 feet using B1s and 2s, and maybe a few hundred Israeli F15s, 16s, and Phantoms 2,000. That will insure the peace. Then we can take care of that bunch of thugs called Hezbollah and Hamas. Then, talk about a 2 state solution. It's them or US.
8. Putin Is No Fool
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (10.18.07)
Putin probably has as many spies in Iran as nuclear scientists and is undoubtedly well aware of what Iran is up to. Given Russia's history of making a ruble off anyone who will pay them and their Machiavelian approach to business, if the West and/or Israel takes out Iran's nuclear facilities he will simply sell them another one - thus getting paid twice for the same work.

10. That former KGB hack is only too predictable.
Cameron ,   USA   (10.19.07)
Like the neighboring Europeans, he & his state will avoid as many commitments as possible, but seek all opportunities to exploit the situation for any sort of advantage & profit.
11. NO to Iranian nuke program...
publius ,   USofA   (10.19.07)
under any circumstances, not peaceful use and defiantly not covert nuke program. What if Iran aquired nuclear material and/or bomb(s) following the whirlwind events of CCCP breaking up in 1991, by buying them from rouge elements of former KGB. Not through a complict wink from Moscow, but none the less realities on the ground don't rule this out that Iran may have scored this strategic coup during Russia's upheaval. Clearly, if this is the case it is the trump card of blackmail Iran is using over Moscow... However, the one thing about nuclear material is its source finger print. the fact that nuclear material from france can be differentated from material from usa or russia. so any dipolmatic solution that enables iran to accuire nuclear fuel from russia for use in energy generation could enable iran to claim a domestic 'nuke' laundering of its ill-gotten nuclear material and shorten the time span to actually develop a 100% home built bomb almost over night. I don't think West is joking around, no iranian nuke program, the mullahs must understand, we will go to war and let the cards fall where they may if iran doesn't comply... no nuclear program. I don't trust a govt. that wraps itself in proudly claiming that its citizens in religious fervor have signed up for terrorist sucide missions in the tens of thousands, such a govt would have zero qualms about giving a terror group a dirty bomb or a real nuke, and blame it on some rouge elements or use it overtly against israel or usa at the worst possible time. make no mistake, terror has been with the modern world for a long time, the only reason why there is a 'war on terror' is because of the reconized threat terrorism plus nukes equals a death nail to M.A.D. period end of discusion.

13. Russia hates Israel
John ,   London,UK   (10.19.07)
Its seems that no one really likes Israel. Coalition of anti-Semitis is beginning to take shape. Iran seems to have turned the world against Israel. Ever since 2005 when iran first dared to cast doubts on Holocaust, more and more nations and world leaders are now having a go at Israel. Iran has started a trend of Israel bashing. And Israeli leaders behaviour is not helping either. They are managing to make enemies whereever they go. Even in US, some university professors are openly saying that Israel's backing by US was main cause of 9/11. That means that are blaming Israel. The message people get is that 9/11 was Israel's fault. I think Iran is beginning to hurt Israel very badly. Before long, we might hear that Iran has turned most of the world into anti-Jewish camp. This would be beginning of the new Holocaust. Israel has to change course and behave according to international law if it is to survive. It cannot hope that media spin and US support will forever save it from its enemies.

Duhhh! No one who lives in Israel or who is a born again Christian, likes Olmert or the Jewish people! (said with a smile) Everyone who wants to destroy Israel is selfish and wants power to rule the world. What is funny, is all their "gods" are mean and non-existant. The God of Israel is loving and kind. All this stuff is great news for believers in Jesus Christ, - but bad news for those who reject Him.
