1. The outcome of this Conference will be violence and more
Joseph P. ,   Jerusalem   (10.18.07)
terrorism from the Arabs for not one centimeter of land will be given to them. And even if, G-d forbid, it's the opposite, they would still use terrorism until they get all of Israel.
2. Who is Rice fooling?
Steve ,   US   (10.19.07)
Yea, right. 'Look what happened in Gaza'. This was Rice's own doing. She is the one to blame; Rice and her boss, George W. Bush. Look at it Dr. Rice. Look at the mess you made. I would love to rub her nose in the mess she made, like we do to a puppy that has soiled the carpet. Rice needs to be house-trained; toilet trained. She does her business in every room of our clean house. Then we have to come back and clean-up after her. She is a passionate enemy of the Jews. I don't don't believe a word this woman says in terms of Israel's difficulties or her security. She would like nothing more than to see Israel wiped off the map!
3. No point negotiating under the current assumptions:
Uzi ,   Haifa   (10.19.07)
The Arabs of the Land of Israel consistently demonstrate that they don't want, can't make and won't maintain real peace. They do want, however, to weaken Israel by gaining territory without 'giving' anything tangible. They ignore that "possession is nine tenths of the law" and that it's rather the Arabs who should come forward and spell out what they offer Israel in return for what they want. They also pretend not to get it that in this case "land for peace" is both immoral and unworkable. The Arabs had used the 'territories' to threaten, pester and attack Israel before we took these territories in self defence. They continue to plan, prepare and perpetrate genocide against Israel and pretend not to see that it would be suicide for Israel to concede anything in response to their threats and aggressive action. The Arabs must realize that the only way toward peace is that rather they themselves should offer, accept and be convincingly satisfied with 'painful' compromises.
4. Cyclical behaviour pattern of the Arabs of Eretz Yisrael
Uzi ,   Haifa   (10.19.07)
First they act according to their traditional culture in which terror and genocide are methods of choice. When the victims act in self defence the Arabs miscalculate and botch their responses and get humiliated in the process. Then they expect and demand that the victims compensate the Arabs and humiliate themselves to restore the dignity of the Arabs; all under the threat that the Arabs would renew their terror and genocide action, which sooner or later they do. And so it goes on and on.
5. o, yeah, the roadmap...
Tyler   (10.19.07)
hey, i thought we'd forgotten all about that... is that back in the pieces process again?
6. Are Palestinian Concerns Also Legitimate?
Dovy ,   Toronto   (10.19.07)
Like being expelled from their land? Like being treated as second-class citizens? Like being confined to ghettos? Like having their land stolen from them?

has finally stepped down from cloud nine of optimism and realized, after touring the west bank and gaza area and especially jerusalem, that this road map will never bring peace because she was convinced there is no peace aprtner at all. rice is 100% realistic in concluding that 1. abbas has no power and therfore can hardly represent the palestinians of gaza and west bank 2. the area in the west bank is a time bomb waiting to burst on the israelis' heads. if usa insists on handing over these territories to pa rule and on israeli withdrawal from east jerusalem and west bank, israel is doomed because she now understands, finally, that arabs have zero intention of living with jews next door. what will happen in the west bank is what happened in gaza, forcing israel to deal with 3 enemy fronts. the new palestinian state will be nothing but an area where terrorism will ferment and where kasams and katyoushas and even more sophisticatedweapons will rain on jerusalem, tel aviv, haifa and the environs. what the usa doesn't grasp is the arab mentality and i don't blame them. one has to live back to back with these savages in their jungles to see how they operate and to realize that a peace of paper, a doccument, a deal or an understanding means nothing, absolutelly nothing to the arab and muslim mind. they'll sign it and use it as toilette paper because this is exactly what peace with israel means to them. first they have no clue in hell how to build a country and it'll turn into anarchy where factions fight for money, power and control. second, iran and syria as well as hizbullah would be operational in this new country, presenting israel with a very tough dilema of its security. third, the west bank will disintigrate completely and poverty and misery will rear its head as in the gaza area. given gaza conditions in the west bank, the palestinians in the west bank will turn to terrorism because of severe poverty, living conditions and lack of infrastructure and police control. let's face it, the palestinians, forever dependent on the world for the most basic needs, people who have never produced anything in centuries and people who have a clan and tribe desert mentality would degenerate into honor/shame attitudes even amongst themselves and would rag insrael into their anarchy. is this the new palestinian state usa wants? the new palestinian state should come only after the following: 1. complete disarmament and the end to violence across the border and amongst themselves 2. the world organizations need to send economic and infrastructure specialists to teach the palestinians how to build an economy, a viable country, order and control, banking, trade, etc... the arab nations MUST be financially involved in this goal. without them, the palestinians are doomed 3. the arab nations must cohesively state that the palestinians are EXPECTED to follow certain steps towards establishing their country. the first such step MUST BE THAT ALL ARAB NATIONS DECLARE THE EXISTANCE OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL, ITS RIGHT TO EXIST AND DEVELOPING DIPLOMATIC RELATIONSHIPS WITH ISRAEL. once the palestinians see that the arabs in the middle east support the existance of israel and do not call for its demise, they will follow suit, hopefully. 4. un, eu, must give a set of conditions to both fatah and hamas that if they want their own state, all the above must be implemented by all palestinian citizens and factions. 5. once an appropriate time has elapsed and the world sees that the palestinians are working hard towards implementing all the above and that they are peaceful and working towards building an economy, a nation and an orderly society without violence amongst themselves orv towards israel, then we can all sit tigether and draw the map. i can assure you that if the palestinians straighten their society out no one, no one will deny them a viable state. they have to be trusted. they have to exhibit a willingness to act civily.
8. Rice fails to understand Israeli and Jewish Concern's
ralphsrant1 ,   USA   (10.19.07)
Rice fails to understand Israeli and Jewish Concern's untill she becomes more of a honest broker and understands these concerbs there will not be peace. http://ralphsrant1.blogspot.com/
9. LOOKS LIKE somebody is waking up out of their stupid sleep..

10. Relax, there can never be any separate Arab political entity
Uzi ,   Haifa   (10.19.07)
west of the Jordan. The Arabs of Western Eretz Yisrael have consistently demonstrated that they are incapable of surviving unaided or ruling themselves, especially at the national polity level. They have never exercised their inherent right of self determination and now they expect others to determine and create for them that Mickey Mouse "state" which will never be. They constantly kill and steal from each other and lie to themselves, each other and the rest of the world. They never miss any opportunity to make atrocious choices and mistakes and they are incapable of sustaining and providing for themselves; they depend on others for everything. How on earth will they ever make it?
11. The PA, Fatah, Abbas, etc, are the core of the problem.
Uzi ,   Haifa   (10.19.07)
Israel should let Hamas to depose Abbas and smash Fatah, also in Judea and Samaria, on their way to abolish the PA and wipe it off the world map and consciousness. It will also open the way for the Kingdom of Jordan to take charge as the only viable nation state of all the Arabs of Greater Palestine. Having got rid of the PA, Israel and Jordan should agree on the border between them in Judea and Samaria and maybe cede Gaza to Egypt that would sort it out quite smartly. Everybody, Jews and Arabs, should continue to live in peace where they are and nobody should move from their homes or land. Israelis who would thus become residents of the Kingdom of Jordan should be given rights and conditions like the Arabs in Israel.
12. to #6 you are not legitmate dovy!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (10.19.07)
As a heathen, you do not know that this land belongs to the Jews only. Try reading our Bible and see who gave us this land. The Bible is our deed for our Zionist Jewish Holy land!
13. Yep, left with dried egg on her face on this trip. What did

15. Observations in regard to perpetrators of genocide or terror
Uzi ,   Haifa   (10.19.07)
The more and harder you beat perpetrators of genocide or terror the less they hate you and the more they respect you. If you beat them long and hard enough they will stop their aggressive activities for a long time, until they sense that you have become complacent. This is their culture and this is how they behave among themselves.
16. #7
Said ,   London, UK   (10.19.07)
What you state is true, the Palestinians need to sort themselves out. But should the Palestinians disarm and work towards a viable society, all that will happen is that Israel will accelerate the landgrab settlement process, and of course, the Palestinians would have no recourse to justice since they are 2nd class citizens. By the time everyone's ready for peace, Israel will just say "Oops, sorry! The settlers ran wild and took all the land! There's no more room for you, would like to be refugees elsewhere?" Its very convenient to blame the Palestinians for everything, isn't it? When Palestinians see that Europeans and other nationals that have, at best, a tenuous tie to Judaism and no ties to Israel (they come mainly for the economic benefits) and yet none of their relatives are allowed to return home, to the lands that many were born in and have physical ties to, what do you expect? You call the Palestinians savages; when you've caged them in and cut off all but they're most basic supplies (Gaza), its quite hypocritical to then moan about them not being able to create a viable economy. If Palestinians are terrorists, then Israel is the greatest terrorist enterprise the world has ever known.

Since you like to distort Judaism so much, get off your big rear end and go take a gun and do your patriotic duty for Zionism!!
