Fatah says Israel falsified the report. Maybe they did. Why would even the most exrtreme fatah fighter want to assassinate the best friend the arabs could ever have in Olmert. He has indicated that he would likely give them the temple mount, most of the west bank and a 40 mile strip across Israel to Gaza in return for settlements. He also had vetoed Israeli operations in Gaza(especially operations against the GAZA gas wells) and was overruled by the cabinet in the latest Syrian operation. He appointed Peretz as defense minister which is all you need to know. He has vetoed targeted removals of Hamas leadership. Lastly, he has permitted Abbas not to follow security procedures. Fatah is probably right-why would they eliminate their best friend!
