2. no to iranian nuclear program
last night i wrote a harsh analysis of reasons for my views... completely understand the logic for rejecting the material... doesn't invalidate position though.
the only thing i will add to ongoing dialogue about iranian nuclear goals, let assume world vacillates on prevent iran from gaining know how to enrich uranium, and builds a bomb or two. Political logic would dictate that iran would have to act within reason, some would even argue the iranian bomb would force a limit on its actions.
so, the sun rises and the world turns until one day the iranian govt. makes a strategic decision to formulate a peoples revolution to secular rule. wow, the ambitions of the western world would breathe a sigh of relief, the healines from one end of the world to the other side would say, whoa that was a close one and reasonable minds prevailed.
until, someone stops to say now that there is civil control of iranian govt, where are the nukes, well the the bomb have to be here, and the light of doors opening reveals an empty room.
now, what... the bombs where the product of a old govt., of coarse they are in the hands of a stateless enity, not our fault if washington goes boom. you think in the fallout of usa distracted at home leads to a world of retribution of geopolitical ambitions that have been brewing for last century, cause usa is no longer in picture is something that iranian mullahs may contemplate.
