Your "solution" is impossible to realise . How many people would be needed to always check this ? And they have also to be paid , so prices will naturally rise

charles ,   petach tikva   (10.23.07)
The Israeli govenement lowering the price of imported food , you wrote . How ? by subsidising imported vegetables ? So again the seculars would have to pay for a small part of the ultra orthodox . in my town there is a market . Only very few of the sellers have a Kashrut certificate . The others are selling very well , to seculars and kippa wearing people alike . Their prices are not much higher than other years . Of course , if you buy at your super , that's maybe different

Perhaps you could us what 2007 has to do with it. Are you suggesting that we have become so modern that the Torah is now obsolete? Perhaps you think G-d is dead. Just hang on a little longer, or not, and you will find out the truth.

week or that polytheism is acceptable to God. Most Christians are deceived like lemmings following leaders who are afraid of losing their jobs if they tell people the truth, that Pope Gregory did not have the authority to change the sabbath to Sunday or to elevate the holy spirit of God to a godhead, causing untold generations to become polytheistic and to worship on a man's day of rest instead of the Lord's day of rest. I am unusual, but then, few are chosen. Many are called but few are chosen. The Many who are Called will be utterly surprised at their exclusion from heaven. It is heartbreaking.

ronald greenberg ,   Toledo, Ohio   (10.25.07)
this is no more kosher than when I indulge at the nearest Roy Rogers and have pork ribs. Religious Ideology taking a law and turning it into perversity.
48. Ronald Greenberg , ignorant
charles ,   petach tikva   (10.25.07)
regarding Kashrut . Tomatoes and other vegetables grown by non Jews may be eaten by Orthodox Jews . Pork ribs , never .
49. Thank G-d for Rivka
Leah ,   UK   (10.25.07)
For her pearls of wisdom are beyond the price of rubies!
50.  48. Ronald Greenberg , ignorant
charlie greenberg ,   toledo , ohio   (10.25.07)
Of course my father was joking. we do not eat pork! However buying from the PA during Shmeta is just as unkosher! I am sure that there are Talmudic references to this effect. Imagine a stamp...( black "Kosher" stamp in Hebrew.) on such traif stuff. The heredi are nuts. The Rambam would turn over so would Moshe Rabenu!
51. Charlie Greenberg
charles ,   petach tikva   (10.25.07)
No Charlie , those vegetables are KOSHER . Tell me what can be not kosher in those tomatoes ? While still living begalut , i saw a Charidi Person buying jam in a great non Jewish supermarket [ this was the cheapest jam they had ] I asked him in Yiddish if it was Kosher . What can there be traif in this he answered [ as a good Jew he answered a question by another one ]

Louis ,   Avignon   (10.26.07)
Sweetie understand it please! These guys are trying to say that kosher does not only mean "edible by rabbinic supervision" but the more broader meaning ="appropiate"
53. Louis , sur le pont , second try
charles ,   petach tikva   (10.26.07)
I know very well what the meaning of Kosher is . You don't need a "hechscher" on a product , it can be Kosher without [ the LU biscuits were kosher , i don't know if they still are , and they had no "hechsher" ] Hechscher : rabbinical certificate or stamp
