I just wonder why the US and UN don't order sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran's Shipping Lines and airlines ?
2. #1 You're quite right. Stop all trade and supplies

3. useless U.S. sanctions will accomplish one thing
Marcel ,   Florida   (10.25.07)
The U.S.is broadcasting it's final intent to attack Iran by the 'diplomatic' route of useless ssanctions. The religious fanatic of Iran has stated clearly many years ago that Iran would not wait to be attacked ,but do a pre-emptive strike. I see another Pearl Harbor for the U.S. this time in Iraq and the Persian Gulf ,Quatar, UAE. Naval Bases. Again ,our leaders are too stupid to stop what is coming as they were too stupid to stop 9/11. The incompetence of the U.S. is breath taking and Israle had better put her whole trust in faaith in Hashem because trusting in fools does have it's rewards, all bad.
4. #3 And did you look into your crystal ball to see another
Pearl Harbor? Talk ,   about incompetence!!   (10.25.07)

I sure hope Iran does attack our bases in Iraq. Why? Because that would give the US the right to attack Iran and bring them back to the stoneage. But if my hopes are shattered; Iran will not attack because they know if they do get attacked, there is a chance the people may revolt and kick the mullahs out of power. The people did it with the shaw and if the people have the military backing they can overthrow the mullahs.

"if the people have the military backing they can overthrow the mullahs" That is why people all around the world criticise you americans with your foreign policy. You have no clue. You ever heard of the Revolutionary Guard Corps and its Quds Force? Ye i'm sure you have. That army is independent from the Iranian national army. The former is very sectarian and loyal to the mullahs. A military coup is practicaly impossible. High ranking Americans keep surprising the world with their witty stupidity in foreign affairs. We regularly get people confusing Barak Obama with Osama bin Laden, military generals thinking al-Qaida is Shi'ite and Hezbollah Sunni, another thinking Lebanon is a European country...tomorrow they might confuse cuba with russia.

Are you on Crack? The military backed the people in which they were able to overthrow the shaw! Besides the International community critizes the Arab community with their so called "foreign policies" and Human Rights. By the way I have heard of the Rev Guard and the Quds force, and Im sure if they agree with the people they will side with them not the government. I did not say that American policy is perfect, no policy is, however it is far better than the Arab countries, who are completly incompitent, inbred and yes theoretcaly backwards. Lebanon is the same, if it was not, then I am sure you would not be sitting cozy in your London flat. I myself dislike the ME and have no plans to visit or immigrate there.

The concern is certainly understandable. However, US military technology has developed significantly since Pearl Harbor. It is now very, very easy to see them coming, react instantaneously, and from a variety of resources. The problem is that with at least 1,200 targets in Iran, and where they are placed, the devastation from the ordinances, the amounts used, and the rapid speed in which they will be deployed, is beyond anything that country can survive. The amount of people killed will be astronomical. That is why the administration is giving Iran every opportunity to stop. At least in this way, it cannot be said that the US wiped out an entire nation and people without sufficient warning and options given. And now with Israel's coming acquisition of those new US fighter jets, and permission to install their own technology, that government of insane Mullahs are soiling their diapers. Can you imagine fighter jets like those in the IAF hands?

"it is far better than the Arab countries, who are completly incompitent, inbred and yes theoretcaly backwards" So thats your arguement? Who said i disagreed with that? Who said I love arab politics. Every one of them are puppets who will switch power when it looks like one side is gaining the upper hand. All parties and politician suck americas balls, exept a very few - including Hezbollah. "shaw" Why do you keep saying that? The first time u did it i thought it was a typo. Do you rele think the kings name was 'SHAW' ? his names mohammed SHAH, not shaw. Do you see what i mean now?
16. #10 #15
Richard ,   London UK   (10.26.07)
yes I wondered about 'Shaw' I think #10 means Shah. And also you can't 'immigrate'to the ME' as #10 wrote you 'Emmigrate to' Doh. #10 Do you mean 'theocratically' rather than 'theoretcaly ' ? Otherwise it sounds as if Arab countries are 'in theory' less competent. On a more interesting note, it is worth noting that the US has not imposed any sanctions on Iran's oil industry. Which measn that the black gold can keep flowing and the SUVs keep burnin'
17. This actually is a brilliant move & does not need UN
Pj ,   USA   (10.26.07)
Security approval. This was the only way for Putin to save face and go along with it. Albeit it not publicly. This clears him of any involvement when we strap on that new 31,000 # bomb to our stealth fighters and go on a Persian Monkey hunting mission. Why do you think that the russian scientists and engineers packed up their bags a short time ago and got out of Iran and the Nantanz nuke sight. Putin has had it with this guy as well, but he can't make public statements about it. Trust me, Vlad is more than willing to look the other way, or to be out at a ballot, or opera the night this happens.

Jellybean ,   Chicago   (10.26.07)
Thank you Richard for correcting my spelling, I should have you fly here to be my little spell checker but you hate the US and would not come. Also the word "immigrate" is really that word used here in the US- Yes I know you must hate that the Americans twisted your beloved language. The fact is the US is getting most of its oil from Canada not from Iran. But you are correct is it "Shah not Shaw. If you don't believe me get of of Ynet for awhile and look it up (the oil issue). Other than that have a lovely day in Londonstan. : )

You may be right. The Russians already have Iranian money in their pockets. I doubt they will give Iran a refund.
