1. What a load of nonsense
Secular Eagle   (10.26.07)
This article will go down well with the right-wing loons on here but the rest of us know better than to buy it. Sure, Sabeel disseminates propaganda but what the hell do we do? How many Israeli indivduals and organizations go on tours in the States raising huge amounts of cash from Xians and other susceptible schmoes for the squattlements by selling them the discredited idea they enhance Israel's security? People in glass houses... As far as apartheid, it very well DOES exist in the West Bank, though not in Israel itself, where the treatment of people is radically different based on nothing but their ethnicity. Face it: we're not morally spotless and the world (by this I mean the decent people in the world) is beginning to cotton on little by little.
2. Wingless moron eagle...speak for yourself.

3. Responsibility
An Arab ,   London, UK   (10.26.07)
Reading this article I strangely found myslef agreeing with a lot of what is written. The Palestinians need to understand that their actions lead to much of their misery. They need leaders that bring them representation and prosperity, with accountability. If they are able to achieve that and Israel still doesn't change its stance, then their resistance would be justified by all. It is in the interests of the leaders of both Israel and Palestine that the current stalemate continues, since neither side has shown any serious desire to come to an agreement. So each side can perpetually ignore the pleas of those they supposedly represent, whilst carrying out their own personal agendas. Peace hasn't come about because neither side wants it. When both sides desire peace, a deal will be hammered out. Arabs need to understand the Israeli side of things and recognise that they need a state for themselves, and Israelis need to understand the pain and humiliation successive Palestinian generations have felt. I propose a binational state, with a slow right of return (to keep at least population parity on the Israeli side, so they won't feel threatened), as the only real solutions. All other solutions amount to ethnic cleansing.
4. Are the people of Boston building...
Josh   (10.26.07)
...ovens in their backyards. Is this Luther speak. They, being so close to Salem (short for Jerusalem), a place where they led a hollacust like burning of witches, should have the community rushing to shut down this type of "throw them in the river" rhetoric. The church members should take a drive up the 1A and visit their history. It is another event that should never be forgotten. When did Jesus tell the fallen Jews (became christians) to attack the non-fallen Jews? True Jesus did come to bring war to the Jewish family. Now the Church in Boston is running a propaganda war for the sake of the Palestinians. Grave choices. To anyone who is a Church Memeber of this Christian sect, I have one thing to say: My Father does not know you for Israel is the son and you do not know Israel the son.
5. Your Church will be rocked...
Yehoshua   (10.26.07)
..by scandal and will suffer finacial ruin with leadership such as this. You will see it descend like a dark cloud and all who support this dark cause will reap what they sow and pay their heavy penance. You will see the steeple of your aims crash under the weight of its own. Not the hand of man, but the hand of Hashem will open your eyes to wonder how things could be different. You will know that Hashem is the Rock. Do not tremble if you depart from this false path and seek out the Fathers advice clinging to justice and wisdom. Isreal is His nation. He will guard those who do Torah like the pupil of His eye.
6. This article is such garbage
George W ,   Washington DC   (10.26.07)
Articles like this always make me laugh. Oh look, the poor Palestinian Christians/ women/ secularists/ whoever else, suffering at the hands of Hamas/ Abbas/ fill in the blank. Some of these accusations might even be true. But meanwhile the occupation is bulldozing houses of Christians, stealing Christian land, making Christians wait for hours at checkpoints for no reason, using Christians as human shields, "accidentally" killing Christian civilians, and so forth. Does Daniel Fink care about any of this? In fact, if anyone raises their voice to condemn Israel for these things, Daniel Fink and the rest of the company men at NGO Monitor will jump on them like fleas, smearing them with all sorts of baseless accusations and distortions. Despite all of his professed concern for Palestinian Christians in this article, Daniel Fink doesn't really give a damn about them at all. Perhaps Sabeel should be more critical of Hamas (although I could see if they didn't for safety reasons. That sucks.) Hamas definitely deserves to be condemned for some of its practices, including exploding suicide bombs in the middle of Israeli restaurants. But Daniel Fink and his ilk deserved to be laughed out of the room for their fake concern and self-righteous nonsense.
7. Arab, you make some good points
Israel ,   israel   (10.26.07)
The only thing apparent is you don’t understand Israelis very well but you do show good intentions. At this point, Israelis could not agree to a bi-national state. There is too much suspicion, hatred and violence. We need a state where we feel we are in control of our destiny based on the idea that this land is our birth place and where we long to be, Most of us also understand that Palestinians feel similarly and are willing to find compromises as long as it doesn’t threaten our security and control of our daily lives. We long to see hope on the other side that there is that partner who will let us be. Once there is peace, I can imagine years down the road better integration of Israel and Palestinians.
8. Wonder How Much is Funded by Saudis
ralphsrant1 ,   USA   (10.26.07)
Wonder How Much is Funded by Saudis. The US gave money to groups overseas, as did the Ruissians so why not the Saudi's I bet you a falafel that Saudi Arabia is involved in the funding somehow with some of these groups. http://ralphsrant1.blogspot.com/
9. #1 secular idiot
izzy d   (10.26.07)
I was happy to read your tidbit of ignorance all the way through. in the beginning ii seemed like you were on to something (read: the first three words) by the end however your ignorance shined through like candle in a jack o'slattern (sic). Im sure there will be those calling you a self hater, but i think its more then that. you willfully misconstrue the basic principle of survival: second guessing yourself rather then the enemy. you claim that "we are not morally spotless and that all the decent people in the world i catching on to this" (paraphrasing) let me ask you, since when has moral perfection been a prerequisite to survival? why do we need to question our right to a normol life over our enemys right to attack us? i wont deny that israel has a allot of work cut out for us when it comes to solving the pal israeli conflict, including compromising and conceding. but this requires a partner we can trust, someone we can compromise WITH, someone to concede TO, and this article is stressing that our Palestinian "partners" are not capable of being in a position that will allow us to responsibly deal with them. dont knee jerk attack whatever seems to support israel. (even tho this article in no way claims to support israel)
10. #3 Not an Arab in Israel
Josh   (10.26.07)
Ethnic cleansing implies there is an attempt to erase a people. If Israel had this as a goal they only need push a few buttons. The Palestinians will kill a Jew that walks in their city. A Jeish city can be seen with Palestinans (those with permits in this time of the intfada) and Arabs (israeli citizens living quite well thank you) walking freely. You should vist a Jewish neighborhood mall thursday nigt with many Arab families dinning and purchasing the latest products. You should see the mansions on the hills in Jenin, where fat cats expand wildly oppulet balconies and bay windows. check out the amazing castle in Shomron that rivals anything you could find in the Hollywood hills. Then take a trip to Gaza where may Palestinians snuck in over the Egyptian border and the population has become the denses in the world. Who is it that sits in Lodon speaking about ethnic cleansing? Everybody wants peace except the makers of weapons. Unfortunatly the Palestinian idea of peace is dancing upon the death of the Jewish nation. Both peoples lay claim to the Temple Mount but the Muslims have it yet they still make war. Don't believe everything you see on telivision nor everything your leaders sell you in sermons in your middle class London neighborhoods as they claim what they sell is based on Mohhamed's teachings.
11. Time to focus
traps ,   Johannesburg South A   (10.27.07)
Noteveryting everyone says or does is an attack on Jews or Israel. The time has come for us to look past headings and headlines and examine what it is people are saying. http://www.thoughtleader.co.za/traps/2007/10/25/halle-berry-and-the-jewish-joke/
12. Sabeel's "peace" facade
Art Preisinger ,   Houston, TX USA   (10.27.07)
I note that much of your article is in the future tense. You seem to have prohetic powers, like Christian Zionists.
13. Sabeel and ICAHD do good work
Naftali Lavie ,   Toronto, Canada   (10.27.07)
Anyone who is familiar with ICAHD (Israeli Committee Against Home Demolitions) knows that it does good work: opposing oppression, empowering the oppressed. Similarly, Sabeel speaks out against oppression, and builds links to democracy-minded Jews and Israelis. As long as Israelis insist on the "right" to oppress the Palestinians, -- dominate them, torment them, treat them as less than equals -- there will be no peace. That is why the work of Sabeel and ICAHD is so necessary, and will be necessary for a long time to come.
14. Absolute rubbish
AngelaJerusalem ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.26.07)
So what's the NGO Monitor's peace plan? Judaisation? Colonialism? Separation/apartheid? More militarism and wars? Come on guys, out the closet. Be brave and admit you don't want peace and you think Arabs should all go to Morocco or Siberia or whereverthehell, just go. I don't think you'll ever see them as anything except the enemy. Grow up. Get a life and let Israelis be NORMAL. Looking forwards to a future, instead of all this grovelling in the past. Daniel. Grow up. And get yourself a peace plan. Try generosity. You'd be surprised what an open heart can achieve.
15. to 14: palestian people's peace plan: no israel. no jews.
aaron ,   ra'anana   (10.27.07)
16. #1just because you call it "right wing" does not make it so
rachel ,   usa   (10.27.07)
You are defending religious fundamentalists and you dare call yourself left wing !!!!!hahahahahahahahahahah there is no such thing as aparthied .self protection against Crazy suicide bombers is a fundamental human right .....so cut the bull .......
17. I wonder if moslem style threats would work?
Micha   (10.27.07)
I mean nobody criticizes moslems because they receive death threats. Should the Jews resort to this type of behavior.
18. Where are the Human Rights for Jews organizations?
Judy Y ,   Los Angeles   (10.28.07)
The reason why Peace Now and groups like Sabeel attract so much coverage is that there is not enough activism on the part of pro-Israel groups. There is not enough organization, not enough strategy to counteract the excellent work done by the enemies of Israel, who are internationally supported, financed and trained. I would say enough complaining about the misinformation campaign by those groups and instead DO SOMETHING! You have the resources, the intelligence, the capability to establish the very best campaign to promote the truth of what's happening in Israel. So, why not do it? You can start by investigating these groups - investigate everything about them. Infiltrate them. Expose them. And at the same time, film the attacks against Jews, put on record the collusion between Arabs and Leftists for the destruction of the country. Establish a centre of information to serve foreign correspondents in Israel. Do the job that the government should be doing and it's not. Did you know that for years Arabs set up illegal housing on Jewish National Fund land? For years! Who was watching? If anybody was, nothing was said, nothing was reported. And now, all of the sudden, those lands are being considered "Arab" and likely to be transferred to an Arab Jerusalem. And who was watching while those Arabs were moving there? That's what I mean by there not being a Human Rights for Jews watcher. Israelis, you need to overcome your passivity and protect your rights and your assets. And you need to care for your reputation by counteracting with effectiveness the negative campaign by your enemies.
19. #18 yes very good ......
rachel ,   usa   (10.28.07)
20. I'm near Boston ...
Christy ,   Boston, US   (10.28.07)
Until reading this article I've never heard of this group & I didn't know they were speaking in Boston. The so-called Christians that would sponsor, and be interested in, such groups are Christian in name only. They only seem interested in denouncing the US & Israel. The deaths of Christians at the hands of Islamists are of no interest to these people. The deaths of everyday Muslims at the hands of Islamists are of no interest. Islamists killing Jews are also of no interest. This group seems to contain those whose ideology is from the new Left (Leftists + Islamists). The new Left's ideology is hatred of the US and Israel. They only pretend to care about Palis. as a prop to spread their ideology.

22. Israel will be blamed for the plight of the Palestinians
observer   (10.28.07)
certainly they will renounce Israel's violence. As for recognizing Israe, why should the victim, when he goes to the court, has to recognize the perpetrator. Not too far ago, a women teatcher- who converted to Islam in Gaza - was intintimidated by the democratic "pacemakers" in Israel.
23. Sabeel is a Muslim organizaion.

It has nothing to do with Christianity!
